   The hotel did not receive our reservation from Open Table, perhaps because we booked just the night before. However, they had plenty of room on Sunday at 12:15pm and kindly got us a table anyway. The service was excellent - attentive, friendly, and very patient and sweet with our 1-year-old who was not terribly well behaved. The sandwiches weren't anything special, but the tea and dessert portions were excellent. Overall highly recommend!

   I’ve has afternoon tea many times at the Mandeville. I’m not sure what happened on this occasion but from the service to the food to the staff the experience was shockingly bad. We had booked to take my mum for a Mother’s Day afternoon tea and it was completely ruined by the staffs attitude and lack of willingness to do anything outside of what was considered an effort. We won’t be returning again.

   Actually we left - didn’t have Afternoon Tea at all, and needed to make alternative plans. No record of our booking at all. Venue virtually empty. No allowance for dietary requirements - just Festive Menu, with no substitution for a vegetarian or gluten free. Very disappointing - found a different venue on Marylebone High St. Don’t bother...
