Join us for a traditional British afternoon tea, featuring a taste of ROAST classics!

Our afternoon tea comprises of 3 courses including finger sandwiches, savouries, traditional scones served with jam and clotted cream, and true British cakes. It is served alongside a great selection of tea.

We offer the perfect environment to enjoy the great British tradition of afternoon tea whilst looking down on the hustle and bustle of London’s oldest market place.

We are glad to offer the following alternative afternoon tea menus, with a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to your reservation: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal.

Our afternoon tea is available Monday – Sunday 11:45-17:30.

The menu relies on only the freshest produce so is often subject to change.

Absolutely brilliant, from the welcome to the tea , the restaurant looks resplendent with its sunflower decorations, the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

The decor is out of this world. So much effort has been taken to make it look spectacular. The service is always good. Very attentive and polite staff. Afternoon tea was lovely. Savoury items could have been a bit warmer but they were delicious. Highly recommend

Lovely venue. We had afternoon tea, and it was all divine. Staff were friendly attentive and professional. Loved my birthday treat.

Service was pretty poor, ordered drinks at the start brought 3 of the 4, waited over 10 minutes for the 4th drink which we received only after asking. We weren’t offered another drink the whole time we were there. We had a pot of tea each which again never offered a refresh or another choice. We had dietary requirements which were given in advance, once we arrived we reconfirmed the requirements only to be told there wasn’t any changes that could be made. It was a 40th birthday celebration and we were all highly disappointed.

After a lot of research, I chose to book afternoon tea at the Roast and I was certainly not disappointed. It was a birthday gift for my husband and our party of 4 unanimously appreciated the experience. The food was delicious and plentiful (I recommend you only have a light breakfast and definetly no lunch beforehand). The staff were efficient and kind. The place itself is a dream.

Perfect afternoon tea for a sunny/rainy, hot or cold day in London. The restaurant decor was stunning and truly transporting. Amazing value for the amount and quality of food, tea, and drinks received. Will absolutely recommend this to any family / friends visiting London in the future!

The food was delicious, the people and service was very good my only criticism is that there wasn't enough room between tables and I was constantly being shoved by the staff trying to get passed to serve other tables which was irritating, we were also sat next to the toilets with people constantly passing by. Having said all that the restaurant is beautiful, the food is absolutely lovely and I have returned 3 times in the last 5 months, so would absolutely recommend coming here, we all loved it.
