We loves Ada's Fish house! We have been multiple times and the food has always been fantastic; especially the fresh fish dinners. I would highly recommend it when in Pismo Beach.

Excellent sand dabs and fish and chips. Roasted Brussels sprouts are excellent. My husband loves the key lime cheesecake. And how can you beat a $10 corkage fee?

Staff welcoming and attentive. Very helpful in resolving a problem with our reservation. Halibut dish very good, just bit on the salty side for my taste. Enjoyed the oysters Rockefeller and calamari appetizers.

The outside table did not have a heat lamp so it got quite cold by the end of our dinner. Our server was not great - kept forgetting requests and needed reminding. Food was ok.

The food is so good we went two days in a row. Oysters were phenomenal and the lobster Mac should be an essential food group. We ate outside one night and at the bar the second. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in town.

We have been coming to Ada's for the past 6 years during our annual girl's trip. Every year it's just as good if not better than before. The clam chowder is A MUST!! It's won awards for a reason! Also a huge fan of the oysters rockefeller and this time we had the halibut. Fantastic place :)

We celebrated our 32nd anniversary today and chose to have our celebratory dinner at Ada’s restaurant after recently sampling their award winning clam chowder. The food and service were impeccable~ we highly recommend dining at Ada’s!

I'll start by saying we've eaten here before over the years and the food and atmosphere are good. This is why we decided to celebrate my birthday dinner there. We had a reservation but when we arrived we were told that if we wanted to sit outside (no atmosphere, especially at night) we could be seated right away, otherwise there was a wait for an inside table - really? What's the point of making a reservation? The greeter was very nice, wished me a happy birthday and felt bad that we would have to wait for a table, specifically BECAUSE we had a reservation. No offer of a complimentary drink while we waited was made, but my husband saw 2 seats become available at the bar and grabbed them. He asked the bartender if he made a better old fashioned cocktail, or a Cadillac margarita. Most places will give you an honest answer as some higher end restaurants and bars know that this makes a difference in the entire dining experience. The bartender immediately gave an attitude and asked my husband to repeat the question, as if he couldn't believe someone would dare to ask. He then said something along the lines of, "Everything I make is good." Not wanting to disrupt what should have been a nice birthday celebration, he ordered the Cadillac. It was fine, not great. Because the wait for a table was still long, we decided to eat dinner at the bar. The bartender with the attitude was also our waiter. He made no effort to be friendly or warm but we put up with it as other people behind the bar created a nice atmosphere. When it was time for dessert, the greeter at the door came by again to wish me a happy birthday and the cake came out with no candle. It's not like I needed a big production but given the wait for a table, the bartender's attitude, and the lack of creating a good customer experience - on a special occasion which they all acknowledged, no less - we won't be going to Ada's again, especially to celebrate anything.

Service is outstanding. Sam took great care of us and always with a smile. Clam chowder was tasty and the serving size for the fish and chips was huge. We sat outside which is a little noisy right next to highway. Did not distract from a great experience. This will become a regular stop whenever we’re visiting the central coast.

My sister and brother-in-law brought my husband and I here for my birthday. The waitress was nice but took my sister and her husband’s drink order and then dashed off to get them before asking me if I wanted anything. My sister chased her down and she felt terrible and took my order. I ordered the banana mai tai which was yummy! A fly somehow landed in my sister’s drink (yikes!) and they gave her another one right away when she pointed it out. I had the scallops and they were good- but I have had better. After our food was brought out we didn’t see our waitress for some time (maybe she went on break?), but the bus girl took good care of us when we asked her. They did bring me free ice cream for my birthday (which was nice), but we has to ask the bus girl to bring us extra spoons so I could share. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

We debated between Ada’s and another popular fish place and were happy with our decision. Started with the Brussels sprouts, which were fabulous! The bacon, goat cheese, cherries, and balsamic were a perfect combination. The only problem was that we felt compelled to eat every last one and couldn’t finish our very good entrees—sand dabs and halibut. Seemed a bit pricey, but everything is these days.

We dined inside and the wait staff were fantastic. Our waitress Alicia was so nice and attentive. Our dinner was delicious, and our bill was very reasonable. We will definitely return the next time we come to Pismo.

We ate outside for the first time. Was ok, not as comfortable as inside. Our server was Jamiebel, and she was pretty attentive. My husband and I share a bowl of clam chowder, which was very good, lots of clams ad not much potatoes, so perfect. I had 2 specials called Gin Bramble, which they were just a little bigger. I had halibut, excellent, my husbands had fish and chips. He said they were just ok.
