Both the food and service were impeccable. The owner had a group of about 10 people who were celebrating the birthday of the owner’s friend. That group was so loud and rowdy that they managed to ruin what should have been a lovely dinner. My rule #1: everyone deserves a second chance. So, we will give it another try. Rule #2: no one deserves a third chance.

Service was amazing. They had a Happy Birthday sign on our table for my husband. The fish was fresh and delicious. We will be back!!

The food and service was excellent!! This is the place to go for sushi and Japanese food. All of the staff were very friendly and they ensured it was a pleasant setting and meal. The sashimi portions were perfect and the sliced ribeye steak were very tender. I recommend Aburi Sushi at the highest level. Thank you for making our anniversary a perfect evening.

Aburi was fantastic. I got the spicy miso ramen and my boyfriend got the wagyu fried rice and the Aburi on fire. It was all delicious. 10/10 I will be back soon!!

Went here with my boyfriend for his birthday and we absolutely loved it! The ambience was so nice, very quiet and romantic. The food was amazing, we each had a roll, some sashimi, and dessert! The presentation of the food was lovely and gave everything a very upscale feel. We were honestly shocked by how affordable the meal was, given how fancy everything looked and felt, and we will definitely be coming back!

Great place for a nice sushi meal. The items we chose were fresh and delicious. Everything we tried was impressive. Pretty good value for a higher end sushi. Will return. The staff were all very nice.

We came on a Friday night and the environment was great! High recommend the Torrie South Side to drink. Mylinh was our server and made some great recommendations when it came to the Aburi Flight and Hamachili roll. We will definitely be back!

The happy hour here is as good as it gets. They have a good sampling of food and drinks to choose from at a nicely discounted price. The build out is very simple and fun. The service was good, especially for a newly opened restaurant. Sushi lovers will not be disappointed here.

Overall Aburi Sushi was a good place to go out and eat. The menu selection was not as much as I thought it would be. I understand that part because businesses do not want to carry a lot of inventory. Ambience was really nice and modern. I will definitely go back but there would only be a few items I would order the rest I would just leave alone. Overall I would rate this place a 3.5 to 3.9 stars. Not a 4 yet they still have a few kinks to work out.

The space is minimalist and elegant. We loved the service pottery from Japan and the beautiful flatware. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I was especially pleased with the sashimi. And there was a surprise, rich, chocolate dessert. I’m looking forward to a return visit. And our server, Kristina was delightful.

As of this review (8/25/2023) they have only been open a few weeks. Off to a good start. A little pricey for what you get, and I'd like to see a deeper wine list, but I will definitely go back.

The quality of the food and fresh ingredients deserve recognition at Aburi. A young restaurant with promise!! We had a little of everything from their menu as sushi enthusiast including an unexpected but delicious Old Fashioned Butter Cake for dessert. The Honey Ginger Brussels Sprouts with mushrooms are a must try! The Ahi Crudo w/Quail Egg so fresh! Aburi Flight is a signature by the chef and was our favorite. The nigiri and sashimi was just quality, and the Wagyu Fried Rice…is hard to forget!! The staff, the service, and the entire dining experience will definitely have us back and with a larger group the next time.

I am honored to have been invited to the soft opening for this Restaurant, I took my hopefully future fiancé her for a nice dinner as she is a huge sushi fan. Let me tell you it was 100% the BEST sushi I have ever had. I spoke with one of the managers and they have fresh fish flown in from Japan 3 times a week. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any sushi lover and family and friends!

Delicious food, great service, spectacular drinks. Loved this place! Everyone was very attentive and the food was top-notch. We had the butter cake for dessert - so delicious! The fish was also good quality, they had a huge range of japanese sake & whiskey. Lots of options on the menu. 10/10 recommend.

Love the variety of the menu and the cocktails are great! There’s really something for everyone. Service was outstanding and all the servers are super nice. Ambience is sleek… I especially like the cute gold lamps on each table :)

The fish was so fresh and melts in your mouth. They have a pretty big menu, so there’s something for everyone. Even though they have a lot of menu choices, the quality of the food and presentation was still on point.
