Aburi refers to the technique of torching fish, enhancing its flavor by lightly searing it. This process not only brings out the fish's taste but also benefits from the use of premium Japanese white oak charcoal, imparting a subtle smokiness & effectively filtering out torch-related gases. Aburi involves a gentle searing, leaving the fish partially cooked.

Hailing from Houston, a city renowned for its cultural diversity, our restaurant draws inspiration from this multicultural hub. Despite our Japanese name, our culinary concept transcends borders, aiming to showcase a medley of global cuisines, mirroring the diverse food scene of Houston.

Fresh fish is flown in directly from Tsukiji Market, Japan.

Excellent food, as usual. Service very attentive without being in your face. Decor is simple yet elegant. Silverware and settings are very nice. Their lunch special of appetizer, entree and desert is very good value.

Coming from someone who has tried all levels of sushi ($-$$$$) this place has quality fish! We could eat here once a week and not get tired of it. We are never disappointed when we dine here. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You can bring a family with kids here and have a date night in the evening. Surprisingly the truffle fries are great here at a sushi restaurant. One of my go-tos is anything with their Foie Gras. The texture and flavor enhance each and every bite. I also enjoy their yellowtail and japanese snapper. This place has certainly become part of our top 5 in rotation for eating out.

Amazing service, exceptional and interesting menu, and kid friendly! They have a kids menu. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

This restaurant has one of the best Japanese happy hours in Houston!!! Great menu and great prices!!! The Hamachi cheek was excellent and I love the fried green beans.

Great experience! Friendly service but it took a while for our server to greet and bring water. Sushi was amazing!

Omakase was disappointing and pricey for what was being offered. It was a mixture of hot and cold plates, some being offered in their regular menu, and to be honest half of the foods I did not care for. For what you expect from an omakase, it was a subpar course and fish offerings were boring. Risotto was horrible as rice was mush. It was pretty bad. Why was it in the menu? Molten chocolate cake was good but was that special enough? Service was rushed and our waiter wasn’t the friendliest or the most on point waiter but it was a very busy night. Sauce pairings were missed a couple of times.

Four gals celebrated Galentine‘s and had a wonderful meal and excellent service from Cali our server to Van the GM. The place was packed with valentine celebrations, but Cali never missed a beat taking care of us. It was my first time to meet her and would definitely ask for her again. The lychee martinis were stellar, and we enjoyed a combination of items, including tempura green beans, seaweed salad, spicy crispy shrimp, and an ahi tuna tower.
