We had a reservation, arrived on time and were told the table would be ready “shortly”. Half an hour later we were finally able to sit at that table. It took another 10min to be able to order and we waited 30min for our food. However, the steaks were great and so was the wine.

This was quite possibly the worst meal I have had at a premium steakhouse in a long time. Food, service, delays - everything was terrible. Incredibly disappointing for a Christmas Eve dinner.

My family has been dining at Abe and Louies on Christmas Eve for years. Love the place. This time we waited for almost 45 minutes to receive our entries. The server felt awful knowing we had to be somewhere else at a certain time. When food for each of us arrived it was luke warm. We couldn't figure out who's meal was holding the other ones up. My wife couldn't eat hers. Server knew we were not happy and brought us the bill without asking if we wanted dessert knowing we had no time for it. I do not know, but my guess is that kitchen was either overwhelmed or our order sat for a while and server was overwhelmed. Either way, there is no excuse for this.

Huge thank you for an absolutely outstanding Christmas Eve meal - Chris, our server, was truly head and shoulders above the rest and was so incredibly thoughtful and attentive. It was the best dining experience we had in a long time. Not to mention, our meal was phenomenal. Thank you!

I have to say abe and Louis was always my husband and I favorite steakhouse in Boston. However this past trip was not great. I went into the bathroom with my two daughters and there was zero toilet paper in any stall. Then one of our steaks came out well done. I can’t believe they even plated it. It was supposed to be be medium. Got a new one but at that point the rest of the family has eaten. Too bad to see it go down hill

We were celebrating my birthday before a show. We were easy to deal with and had simple needs. The food - salmon and fillet and a side of mashed potatoes and a couple of wine glasses. The food was excellent. Just 2 of us both around age 70-75. Our waiter left us alone at the start for about 25 mins. We finally asked another to get him. He disappeared a few times and it was hard to get our check. Finally there was a big error on our bill - we were overcharged for our wine. We did not even realize it but he later did and took it back to correct it. I’ve been here many times but not for a year. My prior experiences were excellent and we were well taken care of are of. I’m not sure why our waiter showed so little interest in us. Next time - hmmm - not sure. Maybe we will go elsewhere. Surely we can find another good $75 fillet.
