Please note - standard tables are located in our main dining room and covered atrium room. High top tables are in our intimate, cozy wine bar towards the front of the restaurant. You can reserve the chef's counter as well. Walk-in reservations welcome.

A16 is a Michelin rated and James Beard Award Winning restaurant bringing the delicious and hospitable traditions of lively Campania to San Francisco. The chic, rustic/modernist venue is named after the motorway that transverses the South of Italy. Executive Chef Yosuke Machida carefully selects local, organic produce and meats to prepare a daily menu specializing in wood oven-fired Neapolitan pizza, braised meatballs, vibrant salads, pasta and local meats and seafood dishes. Owner Shelley Lindgren works closely with a well-versed, hospitable service team to bring one of the SF Bay Area's celebrated wine and food destinations.

    First time at A16 and we were celebrating our anniversary with family. Our server Sunny was AMAZING!!! She paired a scrumptious wine to go with our three different and delicious pizzas, answered our questions on where the unusual name originated. Great evening!!!

    Friendly front of house employees on phone and in person. Efficient, friendly and attentive service. All our group’s food was delicious—and we made sure to share tastes—across starters, drinks, wine, pizza and pasta. And a bonus: they were such lovely portions! Generous for the price and ‘just right’.

    Very fun place to dine in SF. The Ignalat Burrata w/prosciutto was outstanding as was the gem salad, The meat balls were ok. We sat at the chef’s counter which was fun and the service was great at first, but then our server disappeared. Would go back.

    I've always enjoyed A16 but last Saturday night was a disappointment. Waitress had low energy, wasn't knowledgable about wines we asked about, and seemed to have too many tables to handle. Once ordered, wines took about 15 minutes to be delivered to table as did water service and glassware. Food good but experience not nearly as great as usual. Bummer!

    Service and food were excellent!! There were 8 of us and we tried many dishes. My personal favorite was the mushroom pizza with an egg - so delicious!!

    Awesome first time experience sitting at the bar with Tim. He was very knowledgeable with the wine selection and I tried a new one Verdeca - masseria li veli. Great choice. Food was amazing quality, flavor with fresh ingredients. Service was outstanding. Will definitely go back next time we are back in SF. Shelley & Kevin

    Having lived in Naples for a while, A16 is very authentic and a favorite spot in not just S.F. but the entire US for Southern Italian food and drinks ne of the best So Italian wine lists. Always great and I look forward to going again and again and again …,
