Our restaurant's name, A Touch of Salt, is a play on our family name, Brine. In 2005, we started as a family business, and our family-style approach of offering genuine hospitality and meals designed for conversation has always been the heart of A Touch of Salt. Over the years, we have perfected our restaurant to become one of the best casual fine-dining restaurants in the North.

We take pride in being appreciated by the locals of Townsville as well as travellers from all over Australia.

Incredible service and delicious food. We always have a fabulous experience at A Touch of Salt. The coffee was amazing too (better than what I've had at most coffee shops)!

I’ve never been disappointed dining at A Touch of Salt and this experience was no different. Amazing food, great atmosphere, perhaps the friendliest staff in the business. Very happy, everyone left satisfied with the variety and amount of food plus the quality and taste.

the evening was fantastic for our anniversary dinner. We ate lightly, but were totally satisfied by the wonderful 2 plates both of us had. Thank you for such great food in a lovely space.

This resturaunt is an absolute must if you want amazing food, terrific service and unforgetable ambiance. My wife and I could not speak highly enough of the whole dining experience. Salute to the Chef and team for the food that was not only visually beautiful. but imaginative and a delight to the palate. A special thanks to the watresses who made the night a pleasure. Thank you all for an unforgettable night, we will definately be back.

Had a lovely time at the Shaw & Smith Luncheon on Sunday with our close friends Rolando & Janiece at the wonderful A Touch of Salt. Food was amazing as usual from Michael and the crew, paired beautifully with fantastic wine from our favourite wine company Shaw & Smith. Looked after to perfection by Mark and Azzurra and their front of house team. Thanks ATO for another great event
