Fondée en 2013, Capitol Cider est un restaurant, un magasin d'alcool et une salle de spectacle avec bar complet, situé au cœur du quartier Capitol Hill de Seattle. Leur bar offre plus de 170 cidres en bouteille et en fut, également 10 bières artisanales en fut, ainsi que des spiritueux conçus à base de pommes, incluant vodka, gin et calvados. Leur menu de style "Pub" moderne est entièrement sans gluten. L'atmosphère du bar est créée avec des panneaux sombres, une collection impressionnante de copies de tableaux célèbres, des livres antiques et des éléments architecturaux d'époque. Au sous-sol, vous trouverez des tables de jeux de palets, jeux de société, des jeux de type anecdotes et quelques téléviseurs (normalement cachés) qui sont utilisés pour les événements locaux sportifs ou culturels. La propriétaire Julie Tall a créé un programme d'événements artistiques, proposant une activité de type "Drink and Draw", avec musique Live, mais également des discussions sur l'art et la littérature, des jeux de société de nuit et plus encore. We personally like sampling more of a variety than just a large plate of one thing. So, we thought, why not creating tasting menus? Here is our first one. A three course dinner through our specials menu. Slightly smaller portions of everything but with more flavor at a great price. Welcome to our Music & Drink series! Our co-owner/winemaker Rich is a massive live music fanatic. He'll be pairing 10 songs with a drink that matches its mood, lyrics, or the vibe. There will be wine, cider, beer, or cocktails paired with each song. We will listen while sipping the chosen libation - conversation about the pairing is encouraged! Theme this month: Spirit Focus – Gin. Guess what? Gin isn’t just for martinis and tonic! We’ll deep dive on this amazing spirit and try cocktails old and new that feature gin as the main ingredient. Learn about the history of gin and, as always, we’ll pair some songs perfectly with each drink. Rich's music taste skews towards alternative pop, rock, folk & country, with a few other genres thrown in for good measure. Like Jenny Lewis, The Head & the Heart, Jason Isbell, The New Pornographers, & U.S. Girls. You want to be there. Never heard of them? Discover new music then! I have over 1000 restaurants and used open table for most of them, however, I can count on one hand how many poor reviews I’ve left because I’ve always found that even in the worst circumstances there was effort made, and never have I not left a tip… until tonight. The laundry list of poor customer service, bad management, is truly beyond belief . I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemies. Stay away!

Hi Philip, Apologies for the terrible experience. I am the Chef Owner at a/stir and I am learning of all f this reading your review. Not sure what exactly happened. It is somewhat hard to see through your angry words. I wish there was a calm conversation at the time this occurred, or any attempt to reach to me, someone who can fix things and do the appropriate correction. I will work internally to understand what happened. It would be nice to hear from you what transpired a bit less frantically. In this day and age, I see a lot of keyboard warrior taking a dump on businesses. You don't come across as one, but you are angry and I would love to understand (a) how it got there (b) what could have happened (c) how I could make it right for you and guests. As returning tourists we knew it would be great. As a coeliac this place is a real treat but my husband who is not gf or veggie also loves it! Portions are generous so we had a starter each and shared a main and it was plenty. The fried calamari was lovely, as was the feta and orange salad. Chicken skewers great if a bit overpowering with garlic. Highly recommend

The food was outstanding - I especially loved the calamari. Harper, our server, was fabulous! Being diagnosed gluten-free makes eating out very difficult - as a 100% gluten-free restaurant, a stir has taken away the challenges and provides a safe, delicious place to enjoy. My fellow diners do not need to eat gluten-free and they thoroughly enjoyed every bite!

Great dinner experience. As a coeliac I Really enjoyed being able to pick anything from the menu. Genuine care taken by owner and staff to ensure guest experience is great. Highly recommend. Great VFM too

Had a wonderful time at a/stir. The staff was super attentive, the food was delicious, and I really like what they've done with the general vibe of the place.

Great food. Gluten free kitchen which is great for those who need to eat gluten free however all the others joining at the table would have no idea they are eating a gluten free meal. The bread they provided was literally some of the best bread I've ever eaten and would have never guessed that it was GF. All apps, drinks, entrees, and desserts were very good. We'll be back!

Lovely staff, nice place. Food portions on the light side but very tasty. Crispy Brussel sprouts need a bit more crisping but again tasty. Wine is pricey but good solid reds. GF beer very tasty. As a Coeliac and a birthday boy I enjoyed the whole experience
