Fondée en 2013, Capitol Cider est un restaurant, un magasin d'alcool et une salle de spectacle avec bar complet, situé au cœur du quartier Capitol Hill de Seattle. Leur bar offre plus de 170 cidres en bouteille et en fut, également 10 bières artisanales en fut, ainsi que des spiritueux conçus à base de pommes, incluant vodka, gin et calvados. Leur menu de style "Pub" moderne est entièrement sans gluten. L'atmosphère du bar est créée avec des panneaux sombres, une collection impressionnante de copies de tableaux célèbres, des livres antiques et des éléments architecturaux d'époque. Au sous-sol, vous trouverez des tables de jeux de palets, jeux de société, des jeux de type anecdotes et quelques téléviseurs (normalement cachés) qui sont utilisés pour les événements locaux sportifs ou culturels. La propriétaire Julie Tall a créé un programme d'événements artistiques, proposant une activité de type "Drink and Draw", avec musique Live, mais également des discussions sur l'art et la littérature, des jeux de société de nuit et plus encore. Welcome to our Music & Drink series! Our co-owner/winemaker Rich is a massive live music fanatic. He'll be pairing 10 songs with a drink that matches its mood, lyrics, or the vibe. There will be wine, cider, beer, or cocktails paired with each song. We will listen while sipping the chosen libation - conversation about the pairing is encouraged! Rich's music taste skews towards alternative pop, rock, folk & country, with a few other genres thrown in for good measure. Like Jenny Lewis, The Head & the Heart, Jason Isbell, The New Pornographers, & U.S. Girls. You want to be there. Never heard of them? Discover new music then! Regular food menu will be available if hungry.

As always, dining at a stir was a delightful experience. The service was excellent, the food, from starters through dessert, was perfectly prepared and delicious. My friends and I had a wonderful evening.

Appetizer (meze plate) was really good. The chicken suflaki was a bit dry, but the salad that was served with it (Turkish shepherd's salad) was really delicious. We also had a lamb moussaka special that was really good. The desert (chocolate cookie with ice cream) wasn't anything to write home about. All in all, a good meal.

Thank you, Damian. Next time, send back the suflaki and we'll fire a new one. No one deserves a dry-ish chicken. It is like wet jeans. Unpleasant and you just wanted it to go away. Not sure what happened with the chocolate chip cookie there. Usually, when we run out, people threaten to never come back. It is THAT popular. We will aim for better grades in the future. While in town for business, we held a team dinner for seven people. It was nice to accommodate vegan and vegetarian staff with great options. Our server was great.

So glad we went! Service was attentive and lovely, and food was excellent. Crab cakes perfectly crispy exterior with lots of tasty crab inside with almost undetectable “filler” elements - JUST as it should be but seldom is at even the best restaurants. Chicken pesto pasta dish was a hit, as was the OH burger & fries. Cheese curds yummy as always. Drinks fine with the exception of the Locus rose (remarkably tasteless) that was part of the rose flight, but this was quickly rectified by our excellent server. All around great experience!

Thank you for this Nancy. We will shoot for a better grade next time around. The filler in my crab cakes is wild Alaskan Cod to hold it together. No panko crumbs, etc. Oops, just gave the secret away. :-) Cheers, Ton (Chef/Owner)

The many influences coming together create a varied and very tasty menu. Nice wine and cocktail options as well. Chef and staff are fun and helpful. We are so glad we decided to try this.

We love this restaurant! As someone who is strictly gluten free it’s a wonderful dining experience. Food is great, service is always good. We will keep coming back!

A really hospitable place, great food, attentive wait staff, outstanding mushroom risotto. Husband loved the moussaka. Very good value. We will be back.

My son had approximately 2 cups of meatless spaghetti for $28. The fish portion was two small pieces down from the 3 robust pieces when it was Capitol Cider. All the meals were ok nothing was particularly good and for the price, it was a bad value.

Hi Jenna, Thank you for your feedback. A few corrections must be made: The spaghetti is not meatless. I am sorry if you thought you fed your child vegetarian pasta. The menu clearly indicates which dishes are vegetarian, vegan, etc. The pasta dish features guanciale - cured pork - and it is an Italian delicacy, hence the pricing. As for the pieces of fish, Capitol Cider also featured 2 pieces of fish and not 3. The weight of the fish for Capitol Cider was 3-3.5 oz each. During the rebranding, we decided 3.5 to 4.5 oz per piece for better value. As for value/cost, well, trust me we are living in times where cost of things got a little out of control thanks to choices we made as a country. Hope things can improve for us all soon. Finally…! A superb gluten free restaurant in Seattle! A perfect experience! Fabulous ambiance. Our waitress was extremely friendly and efficient. We ordered the roasted brussels sprouts, eggplant dip with crackers (BEST G/F crackers I have tasted to date!, calamari (perfectly seasoned), G/F baguette (also excellent! fresh and superieor to most no G/F bread served in ‘normal’ restaurants. Great location! We ate here before seeing a show at the Intiman Theater on Harvard. This place is a real gem of Capital Hill…!

My family and I had an outstanding experience at a stir! We ordered two shared plates, the fried white cheddar curds and the toasted baguettes. Both were delicious, especially because it’s so rare that my gluten intolerant spouse can have them. Our main dishes were equally great. Since it’s a gluten free kitchen, my spouse was able to try a bit of everything we had ordered and she was in her happy place! Our server was very friendly and the atmosphere was great, busy but not so loud that we couldn’t carry on a conversation. We feel lucky to have found a stir on our visit to Seattle!
