My handcrafted cocktail was delicious with unusual flavors. The servers were gracious and very helpful. The food was as excellent. Highly recommended.

Great ambiance, excellent service and classy. Crazy unusual and unique wine list. Always a delicious menu.

The atmosphere is what attracts most people. There is an interesting wine list. I was brought the wrong wine but had to wait a long time. Generally the Service was inattentive.

Delicious seasonal menu. We enjoyed a house specialty, the mussels in a rich and spicy broth, and a homemade venison sausage plate. The wine list was fascinating, this month featuring Eastern European & Georgian vintages.

This is a great, welcoming neighborhood gem. The food is consistently good and the menu is varied and includes vegetarian options. The steamed clams appetizer was delicious. We enjoyed the quail, cod and cauliflower flatbread entrees. All delicious! The restaurant has a lively, convivial atmosphere.

My wife Cathy & I celebrated our 27th anniversary over dinner at A Cote this past Friday evening. We couldn’t have left the restaurant more pleased.

The bar, decor, music and overall vibe were fantastic. Our waitress, Erica, was super knowledgeable, well traveled, and absolutely engaging. Erica walked us though the Mediterranean regional dishes, cocktail imaginings and wine selections...which wound up with of solid parings throughout our sampling of starters, a shared entree & desert.

I heartily recommend A Cote for great food in a charming environment staffed with wonderful people who effortlessly make your entire dining experience most enjoyable ....

We love A Cote and have been to the restaurant several times over the last 10+ years. This was the first time visiting with our daughters and they loved it too. The roasted cauliflower flatbread, pommes frites, mussels, asparagus, salads, Croque Monsieur, and cheese platter were all exceptional. Very interesting wine choices and our server was able to make recommendations that suited our taste. Looking forward to returning soon.

The food was amazing, however the service was below average...boarding on bad really. Waiter was not attentive, we had to keep flagging down waiters from other sections to get water, ask questions about the menu, order more food etc. Multiple times he walked by our table and despite trying to make eye contact and get his attention he just walked by. For a meal that was certainly not cheap, I expect more.

À Côté is a fantastic Rockridge neighborhood find that has a dynamic menu and great ambiance (and, when the weather is nice, a gorgeous outdoor space in the back)! Everything I have ever eaten here has been divine, and everyone I’ve introduced to the restaurant loves it too. Not to mention fantastic wine lists and complimentary menu options. And, have never had an issue eating here as a vegetarian! Will certainly be dining here again and again.

Too dark, wine list well-traveled but not very good, taste and match-wise, even with input from server. Used to love this place, now not so much.

The food has lots it’s soarkle; too reliant on fat instead of allowing flavors to shine through.

Proteins have vegetables from other courses as sides.

Food was good. When you order small plates you want to have them spaced out. We got everything all at once which was a mess. Sat directly under the space heaters which was miserably hot and they would not turn them off. No recognition of special event noted in reservation. Chef strolled the dining room but not the patio. Overall disappointing.

I think this had been our first return visit in a number of years. It was a nice evening and the food was tasty and creative especially the quail with it's delicious mushroom sides. We also had cocktails which were okay but not as special as the food. The service was very good although the food was a little slow in arriving for some inexplicable reason. The desserts were excellent and very filling

A Cote was great, as usual. Service was quick, our server helpful and friendly, the food very good and in generous proportions for sharing. A very interesting wine list.

Four of us had a fabulous meal in one of the cozy booths on the wall of the restaurant. The service was impeccable and friendly. Our waitperson was knowledgeable about the wines on the large list of unusual wines, many from Eastern Europe and even the republic of Georgia, and helped us choose interesting wines that paired well with our food. We started with the delicate seafood empanadas, followed by a big bowl of mussels with frites. One of us is not a mussel lover but he ate his share on this visit. We mopped up every drop of the delicious Pernod cream sauce enrobing the mussels with the requested extra bread provided. We followed this up with a shared spinach pansotti and swordfish with blood orange relish. We enjoyed a memorable dinner that we are anxious to repeat.

We just had the most fabulous dining experience at Au Côte. We've dined here many times but not for a while. Had a 6 o'clock reservation...a really good time to go before it gets crazy busy. Our waiter Chris really made the night...very attentive without being obtrusive...a real sweetheart. We had the pomme frites...always awesome. Artichoke soup, beet salad and then the best sword fish we've ever had...not tough and so delicious that it blew your mind. We will get back to being regulars!

My dinner companions are VERY fussy regarding dinner entrees, preparation , wine and over all service. A Cote outdid them selves and earned star ratings from my guests. I love A Cote myself -- for their consistently delicious food and service.

The menu sounded good but the meals were disappointed. I expected the smoked trout to be somewhat dry and definitely smoked. It tasted more like baked. That appetizer was way too large and filled with celery root.
The swordfish was very very dry. Perhaps overlooked
The dessert was ok
Could have some California wines in the list
Not sure I will go back.

When I ordered my food, I mentioned I was vegan. Our waitress let us know what I could order, and so I ordered pasta with no pancetta or cheese. Everyone’s food came out besides mine. I tried to get my waitresses attention which took about 15 mins. After I mentioned I had no food on the table she went back to check, a few minutes later a lady came back out with my food but with cheese. I took it back and it took another 30 or so mins finally the right food came out. It was a horrible experience watching everyone eat, then eating by myself.

We love everything about A Cote. When you want a nice night out with great food, this is it. I could eat everything on the menu, which offers a variety of flavors and types of quality, fresh food. Excellent cocktails, always a plus. It's a nice mix of casual, romantic, fine dining and I'm hungry now just remembering our delicious dishes. Go. If you don't like it, then I don't think we can be friends. ;)

Food was very good, and service at the bar was stellar. I have previously had a phenomenal experience at this restaurant, so I was disappointed when we walked in and could only be seated by the windows in front. We were freezing and moved to the bar- was still cold their but bearable. Other people in the restaurant were wearing coats and hats lest you all think I am just over-sensitive. Not sure if heat was broken or something, but would have rather them said that was the issue, and then I would have likely felt more empathy. Instead I felt uncared for. Fortunately food was still good, and one awesome bar tender made up for our experience by being a great listener. I would go back- they have an amazing wine list, and I am hoping this was an anomaly.
