The location, setting, and food are all fantastic. However, the hostess service is terrible. We went for the second time this month and both times the folks at the hostess stand seemed completely flustered on how and when to seat us at our table. We had reservations both times and there were multiple open tables when we arrived, but both times we were told we had to wait "until a table was set up". Last night we arrived 15 minutes early to an almost empty restaurant and were told we would have to wait 15 minutes for our table to be set up. There were numerous open tables! We ordered drinks at the bar and waited for 15 minutes before I returned to the hostess stand to ask about our table. I was again informed that they needed more time to set up our table (there were only 3 of us! How hard can that be?). Then, we were finally walked to a blank table (no settings at all!) that had been open the entire time since our arrival. Nothing was set up. This is a shame because the food and atmosphere are great, but the task of seating guests seems to be above the ability level of the hostess staff. We will not be back.

I brought my 81 year old mother here as a treat. The prices are high for the portions you receive & though our server was very lovely, the service was slow especially being on a Mon at 11:30am, one of our items ordered was forgotten & it all ultimately disappointed my mother. Perhaps our server was new? We agreed that we would come back just for drinks, the Maui Wowee fries which are delicious & a side Cesar salad. This would be a great happy hour location & the ambiance is amazing.

Best Huevos Rancheros I have ever had! Delicious! My husband liked his omelette too. But the stars were the Huevos Rancheros and the lovely employees who helped us on the dock get into our boat and get out of the tight space.

We sat outdoors and enjoyed the marina view. Our waitress Deanna was so friendly and full of personality- really enjoyed her personality. We ordered a burger, battered taco and a clam chowder soup, everything was delicious!! Enjoyed the spring mock tail perfect as a summer drink- very refreshing.

Great location to relax and watch the big boats float by. I'm sure that others will find the food fabulous , but so much of it was heavy- The grilled and stuffed artichoke heart was a frustrating and messy dish - could have used some advice on how to attack it. Elote appetizer was a giant wad of mostly deep fried cheese in a really yummy dipping sauce. The 3 fish tacos were gigantic - enough for 2. not complaints- just observations. The burger with onion jam - tasty! great fries. Cocktails seemed light on the spirits. Salt and pepper shrimp - a generous serving with anode dipping sauce. Overall, I'd go again, and just try to find lighter food.

Our server was great…. Once we got service. We waited for 20 minutes at our table with menus and three servers walked past us in that timeframe. Finally a female server stopped to take our order. After that point all was well.

The original hostess took forever to sit us down even with a reservation. Then we sat by the bar and ordered some drinks. Since it was taking forever we decided to order at bar and told them if food comes and we are seated will let them know. Upon getting seated the hostess seemed dissapointed that we ordered at bar Place is nice and atmosphere is cool But we gotta work on some of the staff as our experience was terrible in that regard.

The ambiance of this restaurant’s outdoor patio tables is an easy “5”, as it overlooks the bay and yachts! The cocktails are very good. The Summer Salad with salmon was fresh and delicious! The scallops average. Service was average.

The beer battered fish tacos were the excellent, and the lobster bisque was phenomenal. The Caesar salad was delicious; however, the chicken was dry. The servers were very attendant, and our reservation request was excited perfectly.

For being at a club we thought it would be nicer with better food options. They cut the menu for the ‘holiday weekend’ even thought it was the 1st of July and not the actual 4th. So the small menu was lame and not what we came for at all. Overall seems to need a revamp old school kinda vibe. Menus smell gross and old. Staff was nice but unorganized. Too many tables for for the pace this staff is used to handling. Less tables available on your floor plan may be a nicer presentation and cleaner to the eye and may seem like you are busier. Idk nice location and possibility here but wouldn’t come back sadly.

The food was not good. The artichoke was over cooked and the sauce was terrible. They focaccia bread appetizer was ok but the waitress did not even understand how it was prepared nor the rest of the menu. She was very sweet and the service was fine. I have eaten here several times and this visit really disappointed. The ambiance and seating is amazing but really need to work on a better menu and food.

I have been wanting to try A and O because of posts on Instagram and we finally got to try it. Everything was easy and seamless. We pulled up to the Balboa Bay Resort and valet parked our car. The restaurant was to the right once you walked into the pretty hotel. Everyone was nice and helpful. We ate on the patio right in front of the Esther and the yachts! I had a club sandwich and my husband had fried fish tacos. They were both very filling! We also had the grilled and stuffed artichoke to share and that was also very delicious! The service was great. Everyone was hospitable. I want to go again soon and take out daughters and dogs with us. When we left we asked if they allow dogs in the patio. They showed us their doggie menu. They actually have 3 items for doggies! I will definitely be retuning! Also, the prices were not out of this world. They were very fair and affordable.

This is a spectacular setting overlooking the bay. Great patio seating with heaters when needed. Fabulous fire pits. Food was great and so was service. We had a great Fathers Day brunch !

Booked for our anniversary and they had over booked for the day. After waiting they sat us at the community table and gave us complimentary apps and drinks while we waited for an actual table. Management was very apologetic, host could use some additional training. We never did get an actual table, it was offered after 9pm! Definitely wouldn’t recommend for a special evening. Cool for pre or post drinks.
