For over 40 years, the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant has been San Diego's landmark dining destination and is undoubtedly one of the most unique and memorable restaurants you will ever find. Located inside a replica of a World War I French farmhouse decorated with fascinating military memorabilia, antiques, and aviation relics, the restaurant overlooks Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport, and has a cozy and romantic ambiance, with large stone fireplaces, intimate booths, and beautiful views. The extensive menu features mid-western aged beef and the freshest seafood. Here you will find USDA Choice Prime Beef steaks, slow-roasted Angus prime rib, fresh fish, salad entrées, seafood, chicken, pasta dishes, and fabulous desserts. Their award-winning Champagne Brunch is not to be missed. Checking in was not what one should expect when dining out at this price point (or even at Dennys for that matter) All three ladies were unfriendly and short. Not a smile in sight when we (6 in our party) walked in , nor during the paying and seating experience. One Immediately states “That will be $522 (and change)” It made the whole group feel awkward. Especially the birthday guest who doesn’t need to know the bills tally. Maybe saying something like “Welcome!”(with a smile) and quietly tell the person speaking for the group that they take payment first, asking if they are celebrating anything special etc. With an all in per person being about $89, you’d expect some class in how you are seated and how money is exchanged. Next time we will go to someplace where the money you drop there is respected. Our waiter Jesse was the only good thing about this place. Food was plenty but extremely mediocre.

Flies all over the place. We were sat next to the bus station with cleaning supplies. It was disgusting. We had to smash flies ourselves. Cocktails awful. Food was really good. Service awful. Would never go back.

The buffet was great! None of the containers were empty and everything was hot/warm. Some items were steaming. The selection was wonderful and everything seemed fresh. Nothing was seasoned weirdly. It is a very clean place. The employees are very nice. Vanessa helped us to our table and she was awesome. I think our server was Jen? She was perfect, not annoying, but there when we needed her.

Majority of options were literally from Costco. All cups were plastic and we paid $100 PER PERSON. Terrible quality

Staff wasn’t nice enough. It’s like enterning in a government office where all the Karens work. Maybe the place was short staffed and they are overworked coz the place was packed coz it was Father’s day!The meat portion was so tiny! Like the burstwurst was just an inch. I couldn’t even notice I got a slice of lamb! It was really tiny! You will go back on the line to ask for another slice and yes another inch of the sausage lol! The $100 for the buffet isn’t worth it! The steak was too thin, it could fly! Good thing outside where we were seated was not windy or I have to go back for another thin slice of steak 😅 our table has no table cloth or placemats. It was my 2nd time in this place thought 2nd time’s a charm! Well coz we cldn’t find another place we booked for father’s day too late. All places were fully booked for Father’s day.

For the cost of $100 per person for 6, we would have preferred to not be seated out in the white canopy sooo far away. We felt all the sun rays burn right through. They said that’s all that could be accommodated . It was intolerable way too hot for the baby and we were so far away from the servers, so it took them a while to get to us. And the white chairs were sooo flimsy I thought someone for sure was gonna fall over. I don’t think that white canopy area is appropriate to have guests be seated on. Had we been seated indoors, it would have been a great experience because the food was great.
