Prime Rib "Bites"
Carved Roast Beef, Ham, Turkey and Lamb
Salmon Caesar Salad
I regret, truly, having to write such a negative review on the Aero squadron. Been coming here for special occasions and family get together‘s from Wayback in the day. Unfortunately it’s just not what it used to be. The entrées are extremely overpriced and not served well. The prime rib, once known as The best in town, now is just a horribly prepared piece of sub standard meat. Appetizers by portion were small and again overpriced. Service was so so… Dinner rolls and bread were supposed to come with a meal… Never arrived. When I asked the waitress just kindly said “oh yeah I forgot”. She never offered to bring any Even then.
If you have the money, it's a great place for a Mother's day brunch!
Mother's Day is shot I'm embarrassed from my mother!
My children and I enjoyed ourselves. Reasonable price
MOTHERS DAY BUFFET !! I just want to start out by saying I’ve been coming her since I was a kid with my parents and was recently very disappointed. SERVICE: The service was amazing, staff were very friendly and on top of everything. Very quick with requests. FOOD: All of the food that was meant to be served HOT was cold. French toast, potatoes and sausage. The seafood was over cooked and tasted like chemicals...not very appealing, especially not for the price. $ 60 per person. I will say the omelettes were amazing but definitely not the only thing I wanted to eat!!
Very cozy spot. Great service and good food! Will definitely go again.
Beautiful outdoor dining. Excellent service. Had an amazing brunch
Ordered rare served medium rare. Creamed corn was not hot more like warm.
My husband and I visited for brunch during our honeymoon. The ambiance is very casual and peaceful on the beautiful patio, which is flanked by the rose garden. The service was fantastic, our server, Manny (she/her), was attentive without being overbearing and the food was good. The decor is very cool and my husband was like a kid a candy store, running around taking photos. We will absolutely be back when we visit San Diego again.
We were regulars at 94th Aero Squadron prior to Covid19 and it was our favorite restaurant for family gatherings. The food was not the quality we had in the past. The French onion soup was bland when it had been the best we ever had. The creamed corn was little corn and to pasty. I had the tilapia and it was overcooked. It felt like the restaurant lost it top chefs during the shutdown.
Fair at best! Order wrong-Meat not cooked to specifications had to send it back, side of mushrooms was wrong.
Fair at best!
The 4-6 special was delicious and well priced. We came in and it was quiet but the waitress mentioned that it had been quite busy earlier. The antiques are also cool.
Service was Ok. Not the usual service which I know has to due with the COVID restrictions. Food was not that great either. Our food was served cold and had to return items.
We love this place and will return at a later time, but will wait awhile.
Waiter was bad- slow and had to ask for basic essentials that go without saying. Prices up and less to select from and smaller portions.
Been going there for over 30 years.
New owners have destroyed the rep Fred worked so hard to build. We’ve seen a steady decline the last couple of times we went under the new owners. This visit was the worst yet!
We won’t be back!!!
Nice atmosphere. Pleasant service. Had a ribeye steak. Ordered medium rare and was cooked appropriately but outside searing was more like a charring and really ruin the flavor of the steak for me.
Love the outdoor eating, the lox and bagels lunch, the laid back environment and respectful wait staff, and watching small planes landing.
Great food. Reasonable price. We have the early bird dinner.
Quiet, very nice view and ambience. Good food, 1/2 off wine Wednesdays is a great deal. Not wild about honeyed mint julip, too sweet. Service was very good. Well worth the trip!
Fresh horseradish for our prime rib was not the best, we had better. The food quality was OK, not great.
Very fun eating experience. We always enjoy eating at this restaurant
Food is good as ever. Server and cleanliness were very good. Prices have increased.
The bottomless Champagne Sunday buffet brunch was much better than the current meal offerings. We expected much more for the prices of the meals.
I took my mother's there for brunch, it was perfect. You have to go the food was hot and delish.
Great place to eat, lots of conversation items throughout he decor. The food is the star of the show.
Service was terrible. We could barely get a glass of water, let alone get our order taken. We were in there for almost 2 hours and left unsatisfied
I have always enjoyed having luch or dinner at the 94th Aero Squadron. I am glad that the restaurant is now offerring brunch on Sundays! I am also happy that the dinner menu has not changed. My favorite entres' are still the menu.
Excellent steaks in a fun atmosphere. Fun place to fly in.
Food was good and service was very good. It is always a treat to see the memorabilia and antiques.
great services amazing food. The staff was very attentive to our needs and the table was ready right at 10:00 at our reservation time.
The food was good especially the fresh vegetables. The potatoes overcooked.
Wonderful meal, was a great date night, very good view
The server was great but the food was not. A medium rare steak was practically well done. The prime rib was served to my wife which half of it was fat. I added the crab stuffed shrimp and what I got was three medium shrimp wrapped in bacon with a little bit of crab in them and they were totally dry. Then for dessert we had what they call a brownie sundae which was a brownie on a plate with chocolate syrup on it and a scoop of ice cream the size of a quarter on top of it. I would like to say this was the highlight but it really wasn't that good either.
The last time I went to this restaurant was 20 years ago and now I remember why. And for Restaurant week that experience cost me $120 with tip for two people which was totally not worth it. No alcoholic beverages were purchased
For restaurant week dining experience it was great - setting, meal choices & wine list more than worth the price. Very enjoyable time for our party of 4.
My husband and I went to 94th Aero Squadron during San Diego Restaurant Week and I have been here in the past and remember how good it was. Well, I don't know what to say or maybe this was due to COVID but my visit here was awful. I had ordered a glass of wine and I felt that my wine glass was dirty and stuff was floating around (could have been the wine). I had ordered the Beer and Cheese soup for my appetizer and my husband had ordered a wedge salad. They brought out his salad first and I was waiting for my soup, they had informed me that they were making a fresh pot, ok. By the time my entrée came, my prime rib was cold, my vegetables were cold and the Au Jus was cold. Now usually I don't send my food back but when all three were cold, I did. Oh then my soup arrives and remember they said that they were making a fresh batch, if it was fresh shouldn't it be hot, well guess what the soup was cold too. My entrée was returned to me hot and I was able to enjoy my meal so what. Funny thing to was when my husband had asked for more bread they brought back the basket with one roll in it and said they were heating up more, more never came and the roll was tough.
I hate to be negative about this is place, I love the ambiance and the brunches were quite nice. But for the $40 restaurant week price it wasn't worth it. I really hope COVID didn't ruin this place and if it did I wish them a speedy recovery. And hope to return one of these days for a better experience.
First time since COVId all of us got together
Top sirloin two said was tough and my well done prime rib came to the table rare had to send it back while waiting ate potato s as bd by time meat came back out really salty so didn’t eat
Normally we always had fantastic meals there this was a first
Food wasn't worth the price. Atmosphere was dated. Had to send multiple glasses back. Dessert definitely came out of a box.
Outstanding food, service and perfect setting. Very enjoyable dinner.
Initially the help was attentive but it slacked off. the main course came before we were done with our appetizer. therefore the food was cold when got to it. That is if was ever warm. Had difficulty getting someones attention for a warm up on the coffee. Waited quite awhile to get the bill.
