777 is based just a 4 minute walk away from Dublin's famous Temple bar. Serving Mexican food and tequila cocktails this restaurant also offers late bites to diners who are enjoying the Mexican tequila until late. The menu offers dishes such as the traditional Taquitos as well as dishes from their wood burning grill. 777 are said to house premium Tequila, which can be enjoyed by diners throughout the week, especially on evenings when Margarita Mondays is running.

We have two areas – ‘Main Dining’ indoors & ‘Afuera’ outdoors. Both operate a walk-in policy for parties up to 5 people. We only accept bookings for groups of 6+

777 is the place I always recommend people to go when they ask about the best Mexican restaurants in Dublin however my recent visit was quite disappointing. The food and drinks were as good as ever however the customer service was extremely poor and was quite upsetting to be extremely honest. I wouldn’t normally talk about how much we spent on the night because the price is never thought about as I always have the best experiences dining out in 777. We simultaneously requested a desert and the bill at the end of the meal. Patiently waiting for the hill for 15+ minutes, we were eager to pay as we were attending a gig immediately after. After requesting, multiple staff were standing around on social media on their phones which was quite frustrating after waiting for some time. As a staff member walked by, we politely asked if we could cancel the dessert and get the bill for the meal. After this, my friend went to the bathroom and passed the kitchen on the way. While walking past, he overheard waiting and kitchen staff talking about our table cancelling their dessert. The kitchen staff asked “Were they being a**holes?” and the waiting staff member replied “yeah they were”. Overhearing this was quite upsetting and surprising to hear that we were being called this for no reason when we simply asked to cancel our last order due to the delay. 777 is always my favourite place to go but if their staff have that attitude towards their customers, I won’t be returning. I hope nobody else has to experience this type of behaviour going forward.

Delicious food, margaritas are strong and delicious. We visited during Dublin Pride - staff were such a vibe and the music was brilliant. The food is a bit pricey but worth it!

the food was only okay and definitely overpriced — not really worth it! the restaurant’s policies, such as having to order the equivalent of 3 meals per person, or having to wait at the door to enter even though we had a reservation, put a bad taste in our mouths. the drinks were good.
