Meh. Food was not great. View and location was nice though.
Ordered a Patty Melt, they said it came with cheddar. When it arrived it had swiss (ok) and no grilled onions. Bread looked like it was toasted on a grill and had no butter on it - just dry.
Service was ok. The hostess was very concerned about timing, me waiting 4 mins for my friend to park even though there were plenty of open tables. It was not busy at all. Maybe 4 tables had people sitting at them. Waiter was nice but never saw him again after food was delivered. Mimosa was very small - like getting half a glass of wine.
We won't be back. Too many other great brunch places in the area.
The service was a little slow. Our waitress took some time to come over to take our order. It was weird because we made eye contact with her a couple of times before she came over. Food was good. Our waitress did mix up or drink order twice.
Food and service -- excellent! COVID guidelines followed well. One of us had the Chicken Piccata and the other the Veggie Pizza. Both were perfect and delicious! First time dinning at this restaurant and we shall return! Thank you!
We go to 7 Mile fairly often, the food is good and the view is spectacular.
Anniversary/ Valentine’s Day dinner
Food was ok. Don’t get the Hash. All potato’s no meat. This was for breakfast. Small portions too.
Our server Louise was very friendly and professional. The food was very tasty as usual. Great view from the patio, the sunset was gorgeous.

Thanksgiving reservation was for 7pm. We were seated at 7:25, and surprised to see empty tables. Someone took drink order taken at 7:35. We reserved the prefixe Thanksgiving dinner; $55. per person, soup or salad was the only variable. Another person took meal order; we ordered soup. 15 minutes later, another waiter came to take drink order again. Then another waiter came with the 1 glass of wine (no ice tea ) AND 1 dinner in plastic container and said, they mistakenly packaged it "to go". I said "no, we are dining in and both ordered the prefixe Thanksgiving meal". She sighed and took it away, and brought 1 soup with 2 spoons. I asked where's her soup (my daughter). She said, "Oh, I'm not sure". I was ready to leave but we came from out of town, staying in a hotel on Thanksgiving so hard to find an alternative. She came back with another soup - we flagged down someone else and asked for napkins; she brought 2 place settings. The dinner food was good, but just warm, and pieces of bone in the turkey. When it came to dessert, she said they had apple tart. Again I said we ordered the pre fixe, which came with pumpkin custard pie. She said no, they only had apple tart, I pointed to the menu, then she added, "we ran out". We took the tart to go. Due to COVID restrictions, we didn't join other family members this year, just us 2, planned a special couple days out of town. We were very disappointed, NO apologies for ALL the craziness, maybe not charging for the substitute dessert, anything, but no nothing...
Spent Thanksgiving here. I went in with low(ish) expectations and was super surprised at how good the food was. For a day that could have ended up with salty, mass produced food, 7 mile seemingly went the extra mile to make things special for diners. I would definitely return.
Good food and service.
The food was great and the service was great. 10/10 would recommend.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the view was perfect. A lively place to have dinner that's socially distanced.
great atmosphere - lots of tourists - and delivery was a little slow - but overall, nice it's open and was very clean.
Great location and view. Friendly, professional staff making the best of the COVID pandemic. Excellent meal and cold beer.
In all fairness its a place for casual dining. The hotel was busy so lots of kids in the pool and eating. Its outside and the tables are spaced far apart.Had salad and pizza and a few beers.
Food was quite good.
The steak was DELICIOUS and seasoned perfectly!
The food is always very good. We had the chicken waffle fries and the sausage pizza, excellent. It was busy when we arrived but our server did a good job and made sure we received great service. The view is fantastic and so nice to sit outside.
We both had the pizza. My pizza was the Italian sausage & onions and my wife had the BBQ chicken...
The pizza crust was great, moist. Overall the pizzas were very good and a nice ambiance on the patio with a great view.
The burgers were the best I ever had.
Excellent during these challenging times! We were grateful to find such a great place for our family to dine outdoors!
Our dinning experience was very nice. Will return again. Thanks to the wonderful staff.
Poolside basically.
Food was mediocre at best. Kids enjoyed the pizza. I don’t think I’ll go back. Pretty disappointing for a nice hotel/resort; thought their food would have been better.
Hello, Thank you for dining with us during your stay at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa. We're glad to hear that your kids loved our pizza options! We apologize that our menu did not meet your expectations. We welcome any further feedback on specific food options to help us improve in the future. Warm Regards, Agnes Macahilas Marketing Coordinator
Definitely a good spot if you’re on vacation and staying at a hotel near by. We live in the area and thought it would be a good place to take the family. Our experience was less than expected. The burgers were terrible, pizzas were good, wine was good, martinis were very bad and prices overall were a high. There are so many good places in Carlsbad, we will not be back here.
Decent fish and fries, mediocre Caesar salad
Hi ConstanceS, We're happy to learn that you enjoyed our delicious IPA battered fish & chips. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Warm Regards, Agnes Macahilas Marketing Coordinator
The staff treated us so well and we enjoyed our family style meal . We had a nice table . The cocktails were exceptional, old fashioned was one of the best I ever had . Also ordered was Colorado Bull Dog - I called it Carolina Bull Dog but bartender figured it out once I told him ingredients. Super delicious. Our salad , pizza and pasta were made to order . We added cheese and pepperoni for minimal charge . Family style meal priced at $35 for family . What a great deal .

Service was poor. Server never came around, never cleared dirty dishes or refilled drinks. Had to get up from table to catch her. We eventually sought out the Manager.
Bartender sloppy bar-keep and horrible cocktail. Need other staff to help out more.
Hello Nicdeg, Thank you for your feedback from your previous dining experience at 7Mile Kitchen. I am sorry to hear that your service was not up to our normal standards. I hope the Supervisor on duty was able to help compensate for service issues you encountered. We look forward to showing you proper service moving forward. Sincerely, Rachel Rohrenbach F&B Outlets Manager
Breakfast would had been better at Denney's. Luke warm coffee, didn't remember about the gluten allergy they were told about when I ordered. The substitute for the toast was plain yogurt(yuck), the breakfast potatoes were way too spicy to eat, and the bacon rated old and reheated. Infact nothing was hot. I would not recommend eating here.
Hello ColinS, I apologize for your recent dining experience at 7Mile. We pride ourselves on great food and service which we did not deliver to you during your last visit. We hope to be able to show you our dedication to your experience the next time you join us at 7Mile. Thank you for your feedback! Sincerely, Rachel Rohrenback F&B Outlets Manager
Great restaurant for a family or somewhere with a nice view. It is located in a hotel so call for parking cause that was confusing. Pizza and salad was great. Drinks aren’t anything to write home about but are traditional and will have what you want. Our kids loved the food which is hard to find decent kids menu. Definitely recommend for a family outing that’s not super quiet and stressful.
Fantastic food and service! Hidden gem in Carlsbad.
Hello, We are ecstatic to receive the positive feedback. We hope that you enjoy dining with us again soon the next time you're in Carlsbad. Warm Regards, Agnes Macahilas Marketing Coordinator
Party of 10 of us. We’d recently dined there and had such a nice time, we returned with our guests. Stellar all the way through. Axel (not Rose) was our server and hit a grand slam. We will return again and again.
The food was amazing and the portions were very generous! The service was the worst. We gave our credit card to prompt the server to get us our bill. She pocketed the credit card and didn't provide us our dessert (which she was supposed to scoop for us) until thirty minutes and THREE reminders later. After the second reminder, she decided to engage in a long conversation with a customer for another 8 minutes. When we reminded her again she was snappy and rude. The indoor ambiance has a cafeteria feel, but the outdoor seating is great.
The food here and portions were outstanding.
Restaurant Week
Shockingly great meal at a hotel resto. Literally every item was fantastic, including outstanding scratch craft cocktail for $11. Cool looking place, and bet the pool bar is hopping during the Summer.
Last minute lookup on Yelp. Wonderful surprise. Booths are a little uncomfortable but atmosphere and food AND drinks are superb.
Great for families. Great happy hour. Great cocktails and kids menu. Can’t go wrong here.
Their hamburgers were very good and was able to customize my order at no extra charge. The waitress was great and gave us time and whatever we needed.
We had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner at 7 Mile Kitchen - I loved that it was one of the few options that was not a "Thanksgiving buffet" for $90/person. We got the GF pizza, pasta and pumpkin pie. The pie and pasta were delicious. I've had better GF pizza - but all in all, it was great! Took a peak at the breakfast menu - we'll come back for that next time we're in town.
Much better than expected, excellent food, great service. Always again.
