All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Our server was very patient with us as we were catching up and did not order quickly. We enjoyed our visit from Gary the cat😊

Despite a rather slow night in terms of volume, we were put in a small alcove very close to two other occupied tables, and were tucked completely out of sight of the waiter. Very slow service, at times we felt he must have forgotten all about us. A dinner that should have lasted an hour or less took over two hours with long, frustrating waits in between! Food was unremarkable and my steak was so tough I gave up trying to eat it. My husband’s salmon was just okay. We had not been to 6th & Vine in a while, and now do not plan to return anytime soon based on this visit!

Unbelievably horrible experience. My wife and I arrived and were seated promptly. However, it took 20 minutes before we even received water (busy Friday night, so we get it). The server finally comes, and takes our drink order. After about 15 minutes, he returns to say that the "bar is slammed" and our drink orders got lost. So, we had to reorder the drinks, and wait another 10-15 minutes for our first cocktails. We placed our meal order when he came back with drinks, and I ordered the Airline Chicken. Knowing the substantial delays we had already dealt with, it would have been prudent for the server to alert us about the added time it takes to prepare that dish. However, we wait for over an hour, and his explanation for the delay is "well, we have to fry the Airline chicken, so it takes extra time." After my wife and I essentially gave up, I told him to put our order in to-go boxes. The chicken I received looked like it was nothing more than a piece of grilled chicken with a touch of seasoning, and my wife's meal was also terrible. It was pretty clear that our orders had been forgotten (AGAIN), and they were making up an excuse to explain away the delay. The restautant did discount several items on the bill given this experience, but for being such a prime restaurant in downtown Winston-Salem, you simply have to do better. We've had so many great experiences at 6th and Vine, and are now wondering if we'll ever return given this experience. If I could 0/5, I would.

We sat outside and enjoyed a very nice brunch. Food was good. Atmosphere will be nicer when the new seating area is completed.
