Sixty-One Prime at Hawks Cay
Very special anniversary dinner! The pork belly appetizer was great and our favorite dish was the Shrimp Cassoulet! Fantastic!
The service was slow and the food was extremely expensive and mediocre.
Great place to eat, from the wait staff to the drinks to the meal, all was wonderful. Don’t usually get that from a restuarant in a hotel.
Due to this being a fine dining restaurant, I believed when I stated in the open table (special occasion) box, and asking them to do anything special for my parents anniversary, and they refused. They gave my parents a nonchalant “happy anniversary”. I even called and asked if they would do something special, like most fine dining establishments.
Not worth the price by a mile
If you’re expecting anything above and beyond, I would move on.
Awesome food. Great service
Good. Solid food. Not great but very good. Said special was a tomahawk rib eye but never said it was $95. Quite the surprise with the bill. Not reasonable. Great steak but not $95. Very loud. Good meal. Watch for surprises
Our server was incredible and so was the food.
Nice to have a romantic setting right in the resort. Was the night of a big football game so the bar was close and super loud. Only one vegan option on the menu - hope that expands.
Plating is done very nicely. Options were limited. Prices outrageous and quality not there. We regretted this meal.
I have to preface my review by saying it's a restaurant at a resort so expect it to be expensive. Also note that there is no view so be sure to get a table in the back of the restaurant so you don't look at the people who are coming in and out of the market next door. The food was just alright. Be forewarned that the onion soup actually shows up in an onion and you should pour the soup out of the onion into the bowl that accompanies it. My husband who loves salt said it was pretty salty. His steak was excellent though. I started with the tuna tartare and it came out luke warm, not bright in color, and did not have much flavor if you didn't use the sauces it came with. My grouper for the main was just okay. What really stood out to us was the service. Such a wonderful staff! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Food was ok. Given that it’s supposed to be their “prime” restaurant I don’t think it’s worth the money.
Doralene was a great server and the food was amazing!
Have been here several times and consistently excellent food and service !
Great place for a special occasion. Will return ! Donna has been our server on more than one occasion and she is fantastic !
Food was incredible! It’s hard to tell if you will get good food at resort dining, but this place was amazing! The flavors, the ambience, everything was perfect and were even able to accommodate my three kids! They were spot on with service as well! Highly recommend!
Food was amazing. Service was good. Environment was nice and quiet. We were able to have a normal level conversation. Server (don’t remember his name) seemed a little bit off.
Great food paired with awesome service!!!
The food and service was fantastic! The only con was the price. It was way too expensive and I wish their was at least a view but overall it was delicious. We had the Tuna tartare, seafood pepperpot, and tamahawk steak.
Andrea & Tristen were great. It was quiet during our visit no other guest present until the end of our dinner. I felt the price was very high compared to portion size no major complaint on quality and taste. For a family of 4 with only two glasses of wine came to 268.00 with out gratuity. I have visited many high end establishments and for that price I definitely did not leave hungry as we did here. We had steak to tuna no complaints on taste or service. Andrea even sang happy birthday with her beautiful accent a great memory.
Delicious food! Servers are always smiling.
Whether on vacation or local, the menu has something to suit every palate. Fish is the best, delivered from impeccable staff, piping hot and attentively prepared with tasty, fresh preparations. The fresh catch is consistently our favorite—no matter what type of fish. The chef prepares it with flawless consistency and clean accompaniments. We are so happy with every detail at 61 prime!
Food was fantastic and service excellent. Do not miss out on the Delmonico steak.
Food was awesome, service was great! Expensive, but that's pretty expected for a nice restaurant at a resort..
Our evening at Sixty One Prime was fantastic. Andrea was very friendly and attentive and gave us great recommendations. The prime rib onion soup and the lobster capuccino are a definite must-try.
interesting combination of flavors. variety of apps, entrees, salads and desserts
When we first walked in they sat us at a table where the ceiling was dripping, when we asked to move they were kinda rude about it. They sat two other groups at that same table that complained before they actually moved the table. The service and soup and salad were good. We all ordered filet mignon and they were the worst steaks we ever had. They looked like they were cooked earlier in the day and then reheated. I can usually cut my filet with a fork but the filet was hard and rubbery. The potatoes looked like they were sitting there for hours. When you are paying 100 per person you expect top quality. Our meal at The Cracker Barrel we had the next morning was a million times better. We were looking forward to this restaurant because of all the great reviews. We were extremely disappointed!
We brought in our own fish and they prepared it incredibly! They fried it and also did a pan sear with a white wine, butter sauce that was out of this world. We had the fried calamari for our appetizer and the squid was so tender. We also had the slaw and it was wonderful! The banana split for dessert, if you like coconut and ice cream, this is the dessert for you. So good! We ate there for lunch the next day as well and had another incredible meal. Highly recommend
Andrea is a fabulous server! We enjoyed the fresh, warm bread served with butter and the French-style onion soup actually served in an onion! We had filet mignon and also the roasted cauliflower. The crunchy fries were delicious, too.
Really good restaurant with great views of the resort pool/ocean. Prices are high given its on the resort, but staff was very nice.
Horrible service at the bar. We sat for 15 minutes and only ones in bar. Bar server looked over at us and keep drinking her drink! Had to go to Matre’D to ask her to get some one to take our drink order. Server was horrible and not friendly
In dining room, waiter was fabulous, First class. Brought in our fresh Mahi Mahi and they said since we left skin on they could not fix it!!!! Not happy.
Food we did order was good but over priced.
We reserved a table at this restaurant knowing it would be expensive, but hoping it would be worth it. The restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive; unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the bar staff. One bartender in particular was extremely rude. The food was pretty good, but, unfortunately, not worth the high price. We all ordered the snapper and scallop specials. The octopus and tuna appetizer were very good. Main course portions, as expected at a fine dining restaurant, were small. They charged us $30 for my 5 year old’s small chicken leg and thigh with a side of fruit. That’s ridiculous! Hawk’s Cay is pricey in general, but come on.
Overall it was a nice room but missing the romantic elegant touch. So, if your looking for romantic don’t eat here. The lights not dimmed, view of people in bathing suits.
Service was outstanding! Very pleasant staff, funny and educated. Food was well missing real culinary experience. Risotto red bean was well bla! The grouper was great. The créame brûlée’s cheesecake too tough don’t order. Too pricey overall for experience.
Excellent food and service. Staff was very knowledgable about food allergies and receptive to making modifications to meet dietary needs. Best meal of our vacation!
The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating so any type of party feels at home. The service was great. Will return again!
Good came out on time and was delicious, the French onion soup was unique and full of flavor.
Very pretty restaurant. Food was delish. The kids had shrimp with pasta which they loved. Excellent service.
Food and service was impeccable.
Donalene is amazing! Food recommendations were spot on!
Really nice servers. Food was good. Lighting was strange.
This place was a great find. It's off the main road and hard to find unless you're staying at the resort. We are there two nights in a row because it was so good. The restaurant is beautiful and the poolside is amazing.
Great food and overall service. We were rushed however as soon os salads were done the food immediately showed up. I would recommend telling server to spacer meal out to enjoy the experience
