Food was pretty good. Octopus started was tough and very very chewy. I sent it back after one small bite but the waiter did not remove the cost from my bill. Decided not to complain and paid but unhappy about this. Food overall was good. Not the best and a little overpriced. Sushi started was nice and deserts also good.
My experience here was average. Our server was rude but whoever was helping her (maybe a manager, he was dressed differently so I’m assuming he was a manager) was nice. The food was good, some people in our party weren’t happy about their portion sizes but overall it was an average experience. The mimosas were good.
Great brunch! Glad to see how busy it was there. Jamie does a fantastic job!
So I’ve been to 5Church a handful of times prior to COVID-19 and it’s always been splendid. This time, while overall it was good... I ask the upper management to re-evaluate a couple things... Went there with a group of 8 to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Ordered a round of drinks and the waitress drops the whole tray including two glasses of wine onto the birthday girl. Started with a bang. She was very apologetic and then we had a new waiter. He was on his A game. Brought over apps for free, paid the first round, again very nice and appreciative for our patience. He took all our orders preciously and I say that because when the main course dishes came out, they missed one of the people with me. We waited 10-15 minutes for it and turns out the kitchen messed up the order from salmon to steak... then the manager comes out with the dish and apologizes... except, the salmon is dead raw. Entire inside looks like it’s ready for sushi. The waiter apologizes tremendously and comps the dish. I can’t say enough about him as he was super efficient and just so nice. Same with the other waitress even after the spill... but the manager. It was a Saturday evening, 6:45 PM reservation, during busy hour. Totally get that. But it was the staff that apologized the most, the staff who was on it. The manager didn’t say a word after the accident and then to come over and serve a guest with raw food after messing up the order is unacceptable. To be frank, the waiter was a better manager of that situation than him. He didn’t represent the quality of 5Church and that was very unfortunate. Your staff though is phenomenal and while the uncooked food wasn’t acceptable, the rest of the food was delicious. I’d just say, do better 5Church.
For for birthdays and cocktails
Get the 60 second strip.
Great service. The staff was very professional and friendly.
A friend of mine actually made reservations so we used hers instead of mine. We were a group of 8! I had the best experience. The waiters were excellent. They treated us very well. Everyone followed CDC guidelines as far masks and social distancing. They gave us a big enough table so we could do the same. The food was amazing!! I cannot wait to go back!! Loved everything!!
AMAZING, affordable and fun. Would definitely go back.
Awesome, clean and welcoming environment. Great service and the food was delicious! I never enjoyed Brussell sprouts so much
When I got there on a sunday, there were 2 tables of loud drunk people. but they left before my date showed up, and we were able to get a quite table and enjoyed ourselves. as always the food was perfect, the service was great, and the cost too much, but worth it.
Good food and the manager was especially accomodating.
Loved the DJ from 6/27. He was amazing and really set the vibe for the evening. Waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly.
It was our first dining experience during COVID, and the restaurant did a wonderful job implementing safety measures. We all enjoyed our food and can’t wait to go back again!
The new menu is spectacular! Some old favorites but some great new ones. For your inner vegetarian, I tried the Buluga Lentil cakes and they were out of this world. Our server Brinson was just THE best. So happy to support 5 Church and be there as they safely reopened.
Great first night out dining in a restaurant since March! I felt very safe with the tables being spread out and the servers and staff wearing masks. The food and service were both incredible! I am looking forward to my next visit. Thanks 5Church!
Our dinner was amazing. The staff was super friendly, the steak was cooked perfect, and the peach cobbler was outstanding.
We had a great time celebrating a birthday. Great service, great food. Sushi tots are the best
Great food and great ambiance! Parking can be difficult!
Food was wonderful. Our server, Michael, was fantastic.
First time at this location. Will not return. Was not impressed with the menu (limited) nor the cost for portions that were extremely small.
We have had several incredible meals in their Charleston location. Disappointed that didn’t happen here.
Great time and the 60 second steak is awesome. My wife loves the sushi tots
I'm limited with food choices due to celiac disease. Was not impressed with my choices. I'm sure if I did not have any limitations on what I could eat, I would have enjoyed the restaurant more.
It was a great first experience. The brunch was amazing and the service was excellent.
Food and service was excellent
Great! Had a good time
Loved it! Will be returning again for another visit soon.
Food was very good but certainly overpriced for the venue
My first time here and for my birthday. The section we were in was very intimate and perfect to enjoy with my friends and family. The food was amazing. Will be back for sure!
We enjoyed a wonderful meal with amazing service before going to a show at Belk Theater.
Cool place overall enjoy 5Church. But very loud and my entree came out lukewarm
My NY strip was over cooked, and just served on a plate
I took my out-of-town friend to your restaurant and she enjoyed it. She said she’ll definitely try the Atlanta location.
Did not live up to the hype. Food was tasty, but came out lukewarm twice. Expensive for what you get. Free dessert didn’t make up for the cold food especially given the price.
On a bright note, our server was delightful!
Chanel my server was amazing! She made sure my experience was great and was very attentive to myself and the rest of my party needs!
No lunch crowd, nearly empty so it was quiet. Service was good, ambience was unremarkable and looked worn, drab and uninteresting.
Menu was limited and while food was good, it wasn’t particularly memorable. Overall the experience would not compel me to make another visit.
We went on a Sunday night, but there was a concert so it was very crowded and it was valentine's day weekend, so keep that in mind. For two adults with 1 appetizer, 2 main dishes, 4 drinks, and 2 desserts our meal was 230 out the door. I felt like I didn't get my money's worth for that price and I would probably be okay with it, But, our service was a little slow and for 230 I expect better service. We sat for 4 minutes before the first server greeted us and had to ask for drink menu twice.
So glad 5Church was one of the few places open on Sunday uptown 'cuz it gave us an opportunity to try this place for the first time. We'll be back. Great staff!
