Impeccable service, unique, generous and beautifully fresh dishes served in a stunning setting. It would be appreciated if the outdoor tables and chairs were not lined along the wall and distracting us from the glorious view of Diamond Head…. The outdoor area needs attention; but otherwise a perfect evening and our complements to the chef, staff and owners of this beautifully revamped restaurant that we once overlooked due to its once mediocre menu. The current menu is vibrant and exciting; the best presentation and flavor profile of oysters! Chilled Coconut foam with calamansi bathed fresh oysters in a dream of tropical ethereal bliss!

We always have a wonderful dining experience at 53 by the Sea. Our assigned staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and the vibe was great. There was even the surprise of a small cake for the bride and groom in our party. People around us were laughing and enjoying their meal, taking pictures of the amazing scenery and loving the ambience as well. We LOVED it!

Great anniversary dinner with the tasting courses. The ahi tartare and potato puree were great additions to our meal. Ysabelle and the team rocked it, highly recommended! It really felt like a special night celebrating my anniversary with my girlfriend. ❤️

6/5 stars. Tasting menu was artful and immaculate. Our server, Ysabelle, was perfect. This is a must-visit spot if you’re on Oahu.

Went for a birthday dinner celebration, overall was pretty decent but a few things could use improvement. Service, drinks and overall ambience was great.

They use an enormous amount of salt on their food. The staff is great. The chef is not. Do not order any meat. It is of poor quality. Very very expensive. It is a tourist trap.

Overall, our experience at 53 by the Sea was good. The location and ambience is second to none. The service and staff are wonderful and provide great hospitality. The food, for the price, is disappointing. We went for brunch. There are some wonderful options on the menu, which done well, could provide a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the food was decidely average - the biggest flaw was that everything was under-seasoned and portions were on the smaller size. What could have been a perfect Sunday brunch experience was diminished by the sub-par quality of the food.
