   My whole family loved everything we got. The Mothers Day special was great value for your money and the service was great. Ambiance was great too. Cool place! Will return.

   Mother’s Day reservation. Downstairs hostess sent us upstairs with menus. Did not accompany us. A little bit tacky as there were two of them working the booth. Were seated in a nice booth as requested. Sat for 25 minutes without contact from any staff. I finally flagged down a wait staff who came and took our order. Took us 20 minutes to get our appetizer. Then took us 40 minutes to get our meal. A kitchen manager came out and apologized for the wait time. Evidently the kitchen is short staffed. There were ample servers and quite a few open tables? We were never offered bread, chips or anything else in compensation for the long wait time. Overall it took more than an hour to get our food. Food quality and portion size was good. Wait staff pleasant but appeared unorganized. I have eaten here many times and this by far was the worst experience. They need to fix the staffing issues and long wait times before the tourist rush starts in the next few weeks, or it is going to be a long summer.

   We had dirty cups and waited 20 minutes for drinks. We kept asking for refills and not getting them. My husbands burger was gross and tasteless. My food was wonderful, but we will likely not be back.

   They do a good job! Very busy even on a Wednesday night in mid April. They serve a lot of game meats like elk bison and yak which is great. Huge beer list but limited wine list. Servers are informed and cheerful.

    Service was great. Valentines was amazing celebrating my cousin’s 30th and making sure she felt special and all of us taken care of. We had later plans and Daniela made she we had our food in a timely manner and was quick with everything! Absolutely amazing.

    I've been going to 49th State several times a month for 5 or more years, even when it was the Snow Goose and tonight was the worst meal me and my 2 friends have ever had here. Corned beef sandwiches were both dry and the bread hard, and the corned beef meal was cold with undercooked cabbage and dry beef. Waiter was great but we didn't have time to wait around. Very disappointed after all these years. Hope you're not getting to big to keep quality control.....

    Once again, the service was awful. It started out okay but when our food was delivered, my order was wrong. The runner who brought it said he'd fix it. He didn't. I never saw him again.The waiter did not come back for over 20 minutes - by then I was over it. I am sure the waiter put the order in correctly but if the runner couldn't have fixed it, he should have passed the info along. And not checking back for more than 20 minutes after the food was dropped? Everyone had empty glasses. The water was empty. Someone never got silverware. As alway, the food was mediocre to good and as always, the service was bad in a town not known for its server. Would not recommend - even to tourists

    We ate late afternoon on the second floor. Had a great view of the water and mountain. The food was very tasty and drinks delicious. Had spicy margarita and tropical iced tea, seafood chowder (was best we have tasted) salmon caesar salad and halibut main dish. Our server Todd was so friendly and exceptional service. Would definitely recommend if in Anchorage.

    Probably some of the worst cuts of steak I have had at a restaurant in many years. For a 165 dollar dinner, for three people, I expected a lot more. I saw my server when we ordered food, and for the check, not a single time more. The beer is always fantastic, so no negative marks there, but the food is very very meh, and the service is lacking, ESPECIALLY for the price. Not sure what happened, but if I could do it all over again, I’d have just made food at home. At least the quality would have been substantially better.
