42nd Street Bar & Grill
First time visit. Quant restaurant. Bar & Grille isn’t the right name as it was an outstanding contemporary restaurant. Our service was spectacular. We will definitely return.
First time visit; definitely not our last! The service was spectacular. On arrival the host seat our wheelchair in a perfect location—easily accessible and close to the doe. This was followed by wonderful table side service by Jovin; I will ask for him in the future and can’t recommend him highly enough! The wine list, while not extensive, offered a very adequate selection. The menu was spectacular—the shrimp on the cocktail were huge, calamari was perfect and the spinach accompaniment was unique. The decomposed Wellington was great but the star of the evening was the pork chop! I will return!
We were staying in Myrtle Beach fir the first time and searched for a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. After looking at the menu and reading the reviews we decided on 42nd street. It did not disappoint! Our server was so sweet and accommodating. She was so accommodating and not phased by the fact that our daughter and boyfriend surprised us and joined us for dinner. She quickly moved us to a larger table and took their order. The process was seamless.
She also was so sweet and helpful with mom who is 93 and has Dimentia.
Our food was soooo good. The Beet Tartare Salad, the Calamari and Caesar salad were a great start the a excellent meal. I got the deconstructed Beef Wellington, Omgosh the beef was seasoned and cooked to perfection- melt in your mouth good. My husband got the Ribeye and felt the same. Two others got the scallops and white beans, let’s just say their plates were clean. And one person got the Salmon. He was very happy with his choice. Again flavorful and cooked perfectly. Oh how can I forget dessert!! The lemon cake was light, the Tiramisu yummy and not over soaked making it soggy, and oh the salted caramel cheese cake - to die for ( in my opinion). My dessert was on the house since it was my Birthday 🥳
Would definitely recommend going for a nice dinner. Either use OpenTable or call for reservations. It’s away from all the crowds. So glad we found it and had a wonderful meal here.
Great meal. Steak served under smoked glass bowl. Pretty cool.
Everything was perfect. The food was cooked to perfection and the waitstaff was very attentive to our needs. Great restaurant for all occasions.
Amazing service and food! Everyone in our party of 4 enjoyed their appetizers and entrees! I had the scallops and white beans, my daughter had salmon, and the guys had the beef Wellington. Superb! Must have the tuna appetizer and the chocolate martini! Will definitely be back!
What a great and enjoyable meal.
Service and food were excellent. steaks were done as ordered and presented under smoked glass dome
The food and service were both amazing. We stopped there on our last trip to Myrtle Beach and we will stop there again!
Food was fantastic, atmosphere was lovely and service was great.
One of the best filets I’ve had in a while. The truffle butter was amazing.
Our vacation Dinner was outstanding with excellent service. Highly recommend!
Food and service were exceptional. Must have the Carmel cheesecake…. You won’t be disappointed !
Great food at reasonable prices and exceptional service. Make a reservation.
Highly recommend to anyone to enjoy. The food and service was outstanding.
Fabulous meal and service! Highly recommend!!
First time eating here. Outstanding food and service for the price. A hidden gem.
This place is wonderful, very small and tastefully decorated. We had a reservation and they knew my name when I walked in, we were seated immediately, our server was very friendly. The Cesar salad was delicious, it comes with breaded and fried anchovies, not my thing but my husband loved them. The lobster Mac n Cheese had almost more lobster than Mac, and many types and lots of cheese, the ribeye came served under a dome of smoke, which gave it a tremendously awesome smoke flavor. We finished it off with Salted Caramel Cheesecake to die for. When it was all said and done the bill came in at under $120, and we were both drinking Champagne, so we thought that was exceptionally reasonable. The icing on he cake was the owner coming over to chat with us. Very nice gentlemen. I would definitely go back if I ever visit the Myrtle Beach area again.
Wonderful experience! Service was excellent! Food presentation was really exceptional and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back.
Excellent service food was delicious would highly.recommend for a nice evening out in Myrtle beach
Cool little place.
Very nice thanksgiving experience. Unique menu and good service. Everything was fresh and hot.
Fantastic meal, filet with truffle butter. Just wonderful. Our service was perfect. Do not miss the caramel cheesecake. Delightful experience!
I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner experience on our anniversary! Food was delicious and our server was so sweet! The restaurant was beautiful and relaxing.
Amazing food and service. Will be back for sure. A new favorite for us.
The lobster mac and cheese, pork chop , and filet are all solid choices for an entree. There are no choices for sides. The prices are reasonable.
The staff and atmosphere was delightful!!! For the atmosphere and how good the food was the prices are very very reasonable. 10/10 recommend!!
This is the second time we have dined at 42nd St.
The food was delicious and our waiter " Lav" provided excellent service. We highly recommend this restaurant while in Myrtle Beach. You won't be disappointed!
Was greeted at the door by staff, taken to booth. Told specials if evening and asked what we wanted to drink. The bread and dipping sauces they use are the best we’ve ever tasted. The food was delicious. Each of us got something different. One had ahi tuna with Caesar salad, fried calamari and salad, salmon and stuffed chicken. It was all made fresh and tasted wonderful. This will definitely be a place we will return to.
Picked this restaurant from trip advisor review. We were pleasantly surprised with atmosphere and food. The staff was delightful, drinks were good and food was amazing.
Excellent food , at a good price , would recommend to everyone
Everything was so good and the staff was beyond friendly!
Our group ordered the beets, ribeye, salmon, and filet.
Everything was delicious. My 12 year old ranked them as the salmon best, then filet and then the ribeye. The beets were full of flavor and accompanied with balsamic, yummy mustards, and creme fraiche.
The presentation was gorgeous and the food was fresh and hot when delivered to the table.
They also provide a warm pita-like bread with a tasty EVOO/pesto dipping sauce.
My son asked to eat here again while in Myrtle Beach - that’s the biggest compliment a restaurant can receive!
Some of the best food we have had and the service was fabulous.
Unexpected treat at the beach!
Small facility, very crowded and loud. Wait staff were not attentive. No vegetarian meal options, was offered beets as a main course. Overpriced. Would not return.
The smoke they added to my filet created an amazing flavor that I had never experienced before. I would definitely recommend. The mussels were also cooked perfect.
Scallops and white bean dish was excellent Staff was attentive and careful to ensure a good experience. We would visit again when we are in the area.
Great place. I would go back again. Only problem was took 45 mins between the appetizer and entree
Wonderful!!! The food and service were amazing!!
