42nd Street Bar & Grill
Everything we ordered was excellent. My wife had the salmon and I had scallops. We both had appetizers, calamari and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were colossal. The waiter was also excellent. His name was Lav from Greece! Looking forward to coming back on my next vacation to Myrtle Beach.
The best meal we had in Myrtle Beach. The food was well prepared & served & the service, Jason, was very good. If we return to Myrtle Beach we would definitely return here.
I must say that my wife and I were completely blown away. We did not know what to expect, but upon entry the atmosphere spoke of elegance. The service provided by Bill was top notch, very friendly and added to the perfect dining experience. We started with the shrimp gyoza dumplings that were bursting with freshness. Our entrees of salmon and scallops were prepared perfectly, full of mouth watering flavor and entirely delicious from the first bite. We will definitely be back and look forward to this true hidden gem. Our hats off to the chef and his staff for the amazing creativity in the back of the house and also the bartender for some outstanding cocktails. An excellent night!!
Our first time in Myrtle and we tried to avoid the touristy places. I found 42nd St Cafe on Google and we were extremely pleased! Filet mignon and beef Wellington were very tender and flavorful. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Service was excellent and our waiter, Lav was very charismatic and attentive to us. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return.
Bill was wonderful! An excellent experience all around. Highly recommend the salmon.
We had a wonderful dinner at 42nd. The waiter was very good and not overly attentive, but just right. Our steaks were melt in your mouth delicious. We have already decided to go back on our next trip!
Wonderful food and great waitress. Highly recommend the ribeye and the salmon. I will definitely return!
Cannot not say enough about what a great experience to have dined there. Food and service were both excellent!
Very upscale decor, and dress by the waitstaff. Exceptional service, we felt like we were their only table being attended to. We loved the flat bread hot out of there oven. The food was well prepared and plated nicely with the sides. We could not have asked for a better dinner experience, then our dessert was brought with "congratulations" scripted out in chocolate in honor of our anniversary.
The menu is very creative and the food was delicious. We were there on a Tuesday evening celebrating a birthday and were immediately seated for our 7:15 reservation. Our excellent server, Bill explained they were short staffed and we could see there were several large parties already seated. Didn’t bother us as we were there to enjoy a leisurely evening. Bill did a great job in pacing our meal. My husband had the deconstructed beef Wellington and I had the scallop fish. Beef cooked perfect mid rare and the scallops were favorable and well prepared. Strongly recommend you save room for the tiramisu. The restaurant did their absolute best under some very difficult circumstances ie short staff, spring break families and golf groups. We will continue to keep 42nd St Bar &Grill on our short list of great restaurants in MB.
Food was superb! Our waiter made Great Martinis!
Seems like the Beef Wellington was very popular that nite!!
The noise level was a little high and hat nite & it was only Tuesday 😞
My hubby's snapper was fabulous! My salmon was very good as was the dumpling appetizer. But the pits brea and butter, leek and fresh pesto dipping sauce was to die for! I could have made a meal on that alone!!
Food is amazing atmosphere was great. Bill has got to be the best waiter I have ever had, He was absolutely amazing!
Perfect for a date night.
Scallops were great, as was the beef
Excellent dinner for my husband and myself. Only reason I knocked off one star is because my snapper was slightly overcooked while my husbands filet was perfectly as ordered. Perhaps my fish waited a few minutes too long for his filet to be perfect. The rest of the meal was way above average and the flavor blending was exceptional.
Food, drinks and service were excellent
It's a gem. The service , food and atmosphere were exceptional. We are glad we found this restaurant. It made a perfect ending to our vacation.
2 of the regular menu items not available was disappointing
Delicious meal, and great service !!
Very enjoyable, food was excellent. You need to note on the menu though that you can block in your salmon!I certainly will visit you again.
Dinner was amazing. Jason took exceptionally good care of us! We will be back soon!
Our visit more than lived up to the positive reviews we had read. Both our meals . . . Scallops for my wife, Beef Wellington for me, were everything we had hoped for.servings were more than ample, but not more than we could enjoy. Our server was, courteous, timely, and knowledge. This was our one evening out while visiting Myrtle Beach and a highlight of our five week visit.
The appetizers looked amazing but we opted out due to wanting an entree for both of us. I ordered the Snapper with quinoa . The Snapper was a bit dry or overcooked, still favorful though. The quinoa was really good. My husband tried it and liked it which is amazing! He ordered the ribeye and mashed potatoes- both good but nothing special. The Salted Caramel Cheesecake was to die for! Overall we enjoyed the evening but probalby will not go back.
Excellent food and drinks. Staff amazing. Great atmosphere. We will be returning.
We really enjoyed our experience. The place is nice, upscale and quaint. Not something you would really expect in Myrtle. Although it was clear they were understaffed that particular night, our waiter was fantastic. They offered a free drink and dessert for the slow wait and service. It took an hour to get our food. The food itself was good, not great. We saw the fillet that someone lese ordered and wished we would have ordered that instead. My husband's fish was a bit dry and the chicken was not seasoned, but not bad. We would give them another chance when visiting Myrtle. I think it was just an off night.
Exceptional
Excellent food and service.
Probably the best cut of steak I've ever had. Melt in the mouth. Presentation of the food under a glass, smoke filled lid added nice theater. My only criticism is the lobster Mac and cheese was underseasoned and needed more meat for the $$ tag. Other than that .. excellent food and service.
Meal was outstanding and the service was great. Bill was our waiter and he was excellent. We will go back for certain.
From making our reservation to paying our bill, we had exceptional service. Having a limited menu was intimidating to our group of four, but we each enjoyed a uniquely prepared and served entree. PERFECTLY SPLENDID
Loved this fine dining experience, tranquil ambience and delicious food! Our server, William, helped make our 37th anniversary really special. We enjoyed the deconstructed Beef and Mushroom Wellington, Lobster Mac n Cheese, and Caesar salads w/ lightly breaded, fried anchovies. Highly recommend this fabulous dining experience and we’ll definitely go back.
Fantastic experience. Have travelled a lot. Probably the best I've had. Bill the waiter was terrific. Beef Wellington is great. Prices very reasonable. Calamari appetizer and salted caramel cheesecake dessert excellent. Bill was attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and personable in every aspect of this dining experience. Will definitely return. Put this one on your "bucket" list. Décor and ambience (quiet background music) makes for a dining experience. Was there on March 17th, 2021.
An unexpected experience for myrtle beach. Nothing but class.
Don't hesitate, reserve your table and visit this incredible fine dining restaurant. Great food, service, and reasonably priced is a rare combination indeed.
The staff was great. They were attentive and upfront about pote TIAA delays. We had the Mac and cheese and steak and both were tasty. Enjoyed our time!
Fabulous meal! Our waiter made the evening even better. Knowledgeable, gave great recommendations and fun to talk with. Thanks ‘Lov’
Hands down best restaurant in Myrtle Beach and one of the best I’ve ever had in my life.
We were very pleased with our experience! My husband said it's the best steak he's ever had. Very good service and nice upscale atmosphere.
Phenomenal as always! Hats off to our server Bill...always top notch! Thank you! Can’t wait to return.
What a cute place! Very attentive service and the food was delicious. My salmon was moist and perfectly prepared. Hubby had the Wellington and he thought it was fantastic!
