Celebrating a birthday with close friends. Valet parking was frustrating because they denied my service, had to park across in garage an walk around. The room was nice an beautiful set but very little walking space and waiters were not that attentive to the guests needs. They made several errors with menu items, unfamiliar with the menu items an choices and drinks were not spot on. I ordered Cobb salad and asked if it came with onions (which it shouldn’t) I requested none, all to learn he brings it out an it’s full of onions. I return an he reply I’ll have them scrap off...unacceptable I’m allergic to them. When it return it was more leaf lettuce, the waiter placed my plate in the window sill which was not clean or sanitized. I ordered side of stem broccoli and it was “cold” unseason so I just added it to my salad which was not tasty. To get a bill of $50 for a salad, broccoli and one drink was very disappointing. At any time did they offer dessert menu although we had cake for the birthday lady it’s just an courteous because I don’t eat cake so I didn’t get an option. Milton was very courteous to get my parking situation resolved but it was an inconvenience because 16 of 20 ladies got to valet while others had to walk (heels) an pay for parking. Unsure if I will return or recommend for large party event because the room had ventilation that was VERY noisy an hard to hear/communicate with the guest.
Great service. Food was "ok". Portion size of entree (fish & chips) was a smallish for the fish....lots of breading, not so much fish. Server was excellent though and friendly staff.
Two entrees: Rib eye steak and Prime rib. Both were cooked to our request and tasted tender and flavorful. Sides: grits, cole slaw, broccoli, mixed vegetables were fine. House cab wine was very good.
Server did his job adequately.
Only real disappointment was the carrot cake. If you closed your eyes and ate it, you would have no idea it was carrot cake, which is my favorite dessert. It was so poorly done, I would suggest deleting it from the menu.
I ordered the BBQ braised short ribs with cheese grits. It took roughly 25 minutes for the entree to arrive and when it came, the grits were lukewarm and the ribs were covered in sauce. Maybe I expected a different dining experience, but it definitely wasn’t fine dining.
Good food and ambience.
Good food and service.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Cirque du soleil with the family
The staff was incredible
Chef Ivy was so kind as to make us a special meal and came to speak with us at our table
Manager was so very kind with wine selection
Waitress was the best ever
All in all a very bad experience. The service was super slow. When the appetizers came we had no silverware/napkins on the table. We had to dig through a server station to get our own. The steaks were disappointing as they were all overdone. We won't be going back.
Henry was wonderful! He was knowledgable and made great recommendations.
Kim, our sever and bartender (ultimate multi-taster) was amazing. She even hand stuffed some olives with blue cheese for my martini, since they were out.
Steak was cold, drink glass had old food in it, the desert was uncooked. The server never never even apologized. The Manager look like she was having a really bad night. We wasn’t the only table to have had problem. Paid a lot of money for a bad meal.
Excellent food, service, and portions. Was there on a Sunday night and fairly low key due to number of guests. We always try to visit a Shula’s in any city we visit which has one or more. We used our 2 for 1 birthday coupon and received a birthday desert on the house. Overall, very nice evening!
We went here for a family celebration and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant. The grits were amazing.
Based on the most recent experience I would not. I am going to give them another chance and hope my experience is better.
Marriott is under going construction, restaurant was not busy, didn't have a few items on menu. The $50 steaks were the best, everything else was mediocre.
This was a birthday celebration. Always look forward to the steak at Shula's! Not today. First, let me say the original menu has changed. The asparagus and Bearnaise sauce are no longer avail. But the addition of mac and cheese was a surprise. First the steak. We ordered 2 strips, but either the vendor has changed or the size of the steak! In the past, the strips were thick and juicy. These "strips" (and the chef verified they were definitely strips) looked like rib eyes, flat and dry. My medium rare was cooked correctly, but it was dry and tough. My partner sent back his steak because it wasn't as ordered, medium well. It was well done. A new steak came back medium rare, not medium well and no seasoning. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The mac and cheese was very good except the bread crumbs sprinkled on top were evidently put on at the last minute because they tasted straight from a can. The highlight was definitely dessert! The carrot cake was not very moist, but very tasty regardless. The caramel sauce over it helped a lot. I loved the Happy Birthday message on the plate! Nice touch!
Service was spectacular! Tania, was gracious, friendly and very apologetic for our plight! It wasn't her fault. She was always asking how everything was and if she could help! A real Gem!
I guess we will have to find another steak place. BTW, the burgers at another table looked fantastic!
Ordered a 41.00 delmonico steak and they sent a sirloin sent it back and the delmonico came out raw. Sent it back again and 2nd time still rare. Baked potato hard. Waitress dis her best but the kitchen really screwed up.
Everything was ok, wouldn’t go back.
Menu has a small selection food was ok regular drinks hasn’t any options
Love Shula’s 347 as a dinner destination when going to Chrysler Hall for events. The atmosphere is pretty good, the food is usually outstanding but this particular visit, the medium well prime rib was more than well done and the crab cakes were dry but still delicious but dry. I’m hoping is was just an anomaly.
There was a wedding party there the night I went. So I understand why service was slow. The food wasn't that good. Everyone at the table had to add seasoning since everything tasted so bland. Mainly the mac and cheese and then my friend and I both got chicken sandwiches and our stomachs were killing us afterward. My brother and his wife had burgers and they felt fine afterward. So maybe stick with their beef items.
They changed their menu about a week ago and it’s just overall not as good as it used to be. My mother ordered the crab cakes and they were very small and more bread than crab. We went on a Tuesday night and were 3 of maybe 20 people in the place and the service was still very slow. Very disappointing.
Crab cake, bbq shrimp and fries were good. Most of the menu was “not available” the steak had no seasoning and the sides were inedible. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes in particular were terrible. Watery and tasteless I’m not sure how you taste worse then microwave food. The place was mostly empty and I see why. Our server was great and made the best of it, and we had a very nice time but I’d say they are going out of business and im looking forward to trying whatever pops up in its place.
Menu has changed slightly, but food is still tasty. They had a function going on so it was extremely loud for dinner. Our waiter was the least favorable part of the evening. He did not get the cook temperature of our steaks correct - pretty sure he forgot to put it in as such; did not provide small plates for our bread; did not provide drink refill until we about finished eating; and just seemed generally lost on menu/food protocols. He may have been new and he was polite enough, so hopefully he’ll get better.
Service is always slow! 5th year in a row! Tables were left with dirty dishes. Kept telling diners they couldn’t order because the kitchen was on a hold. But let other tables order. When food finally came it was cold and wrong. They definitely need to step up there game.
The waiter took our order, and we never saw him again. He went by our table many times… But never stopped and asked how we were doing. Do you want another drink? Is everything OK here? Nope. Had to ask another server to get our bill for us and a takeout container. The steaks were great. The service was less than par.
Usually, our visits to Shula's are terrific. This time, unfortunately, it was not. Our reservation was early, about 5pm. The restaurant was not busy. We both ordered the Shula cut strip steak, but what came out were two ribeyes. The steaks were taken back to the kitchen, but it took over 45 minutes to get it back. We did, however, get a complementary dessert. Then it took 15 minutes to get our bill and it was wrong. Finally, after two hours, we left. We did get a call the next day asking how our dinner was, I explained what happened and was told someone would be getting back to us. Still haven't heard from anyone.
This is very unusual for the restaurant! The steaks are great and so are the sides! Maybe we'll try again.
The prices were too high for the quality and quantity I ordered. The hostess had a permanent unfriendly face that appeared she would rather be anywhere than work, if true why does she continue to work there?
I have been here several times. The place was empty so I'm not sure why we waited 15 for our server to come take the drink order.
Our steaks were prepared just as we requested. Our server, Vlad, was excellent and probably one of the best we've had. He was polite, attentive, and very personable. We enjoyed our meal immensely!
Food and service were ok. Not a high quality steak house. Also this location does not let you use your rewards dollars even though it says you can when you book it here.
Great restaurant though a limited menu. Wine list somewhat limited too.
We been to Shulas 3 times. Each time was outstanding. We will definitely return.
Great!!! Would recommend.
Great steaks and sides. Server great; kitchen a tad slow.
I enjoyed my dining experience at Shulas. The crab cakes were perfect. My entree had great texture, color and flavor. I will return.
The food was not worth it’s price and neither was their mixed drinks. Walking in greeter was not that approachable. Our waiter was nice though, definitely checked in and did what they were supposed to do. But the food was cold after just getting it on the table and had no flavor what so ever.
The server we had was fabulous!!! He is most attentive to his guests. First time we had him was at the bar on New Year's day. Forget his name but he is an ex Marine.
Time for Shula's to be updated. The ambiance isn't the value or represents the food.
