Was very peaceful , food very good and service right on target ! Will def return !
Off the beaten path but worth the trip for creative, modern cuisine.
Fantasic views, great food, wine selection and excellent service! A jewel just past all the tourist venues. Definitely an upscale option for any special night.
Outstanding food, good portion sizes but a bit on the pricey side, but you can't beat the view.
We stayed at Beaufort Hotel for our Anniversary. While there we ha dinner and a breakfast at 34 degrees North.
First let me say that dinner service was excellent - very attentive, courteous, smiling and pleasant. The food was good to very good... but not what we would call outstanding of memorable. Wife had crab cakes and I had the pork chop. I will say that I asked that the pork chop not be overdone and dry... and it was cooked as I asked (perhaps a touch too dry, but it was overall nicely done).
Drinks were okay, but again nothing special. I ordered Long Island Iced Tea and it was just okay.
Key Lime pie for dessert was very good.
Waitress brought us each a glass of champagne for our Anniversary, which was a very nice touch. Again, the service was outstanding.
Would recommend to a friend... but would set expectations as good to very good but not exceptional.
Our Breakfast visit was awful. I had called the front desk to ask if we needed reservations and they said no, just come anytime. When we got there at 9:00AM we were asked if we had reservations and when I said we were told they weren't required we had a fairly long wait (and we were on a tight schedule)
Breakfast service was slow. They did not have enough wait staff to move things along, Our waiter was working both the inside and deck dining areas and that was too much.
Breakfast was fine... but my wife ordered one scrambled egg, grits, and a side of fruit. The fruit never arrived. I had two scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast. Overall okay, but the eggs were a bit watery and the toast was (well) barely toasted.
We had to wait over 10 minutes to get attention to pay the bill. The whole breakfast process was far too long... which made the experience frustrating and unacceptable.
If you are staying at the Beaufort Hotel, them this restaurant is convenient and good. If you are not staying there, I would not recommend a special trip.
Great food, amazing drinks, and excellent service!
It was our 20th wedding anniversary, and everything was perfect. Crab cake app was excellent. My wife and I shared that. For entrees, she had the mahi, and I had the grouper. Both were perfectly prepared. The service level was great, with J.J. at the helm. We ate in the outside dining area overlooking Taylor’s Creek. The view never gets old. Great evening. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We were celebrating our anniversary and decided to try 34 North restaurant, a very pleasing outing. Waitress was excellent, food was exceptional and we are planning on returning.
Everything from the outstanding service to the food and ambiance of the outside seating was great! Pam took amazing care of us and we had numerous others stop by to refill our waters and even take away dishes we weren’t using. Awesome teamwork! Everyone should visit here!
The overall dining experience was terrific . While Covid-19 continues to effect all dining venues 34 Degrees stands out with exceptional service, food was outstanding and everyone throughly enjoyed themselves .
The challenge started with we placed a call to the restaurant and tried to make a reservation for my wife's birthday dinner. Per the instructions we left a message and as noted on the message someone would call us to confirm our reservations. No one called so I finally made the reservation via open table. The view was great and our server was very very nice and they were attentive as best as they could. Considering the challenging times we generally lower our expectations on service as many restaurants are understaffed but in this case the server did a great job. All that said our food was very underwhelming and wasn't very good or very well prepared. My porkchop was over cooked as was my wife's fish. Our son's burger was cooked perfectly but his fries were cold. All for $165. In fairness we we did tip the server 20%. We really do wish the restaurant well as we are locals and would love to see them succeed but if not for the view I expect they will struggle.
We had a delicious meal and great time. Our waiter was totally engaged and fun! Food was awesome but we felt you should get more than 2 scallops in the appetizer for the price. We will be back!
Food was excellent, the service was wonderful and the Vista is outstanding! The crab cake appetizer was delicious. The grouper for our main entrée was cooked just right. And the risotto was divine! You also cannot beat the views of the water and the sky at this location
The food was delicious and the runners were efficient, however, our waiter was terrible. We never saw him again after he took our order. He never checked on us, never asked how our meal was, never got us another drink. 30 min after we were done we finally had to ask someone to go get him so we could get our check.
We went for brunch and had an omelet and pancakes. Outstanding service, food, and atmosphere. One of our favorite places to dine in this area!
It was perfect in every way!! Worth the price for sure!!
Thanks for dining with us!
Drinks were overpriced compared to other restaurants. Portion size was small on my entree. Location was great and was a nice facility.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and wonderful experience.
Excellent menu with creative choices. All servers were wearing masks and tables were appropriately distanced. We ate on the deck which has a wonderful view. Our server did a very nice job. The food was delicious! An excellent choice for fine dining during a time when it’s difficult to find safe restaurants. This is one of the safest and has outstanding food and skilled servers.
Menu was very limited. No appetizers?? Food was good..
It was our five year wedding anniversary. We made sure we let them know that. We got a table by the window overlooking the river. Our appetizers came quickly but our meal took over 45 minutes to get. The server did apologize a couple times for it being late, but when we ordered a dessert to share at the end we thought for sure we would get it for free or at least get a drink for free since we had to wait so long but we didn’t. Food is excellent. They are a little pricey and their portions are small but very tasty.
Our server and food were amazing! Highly recommend!
Great food and service during a difficult time.
Great menu selections. Passed on desert as they did not have the dessert that was advertised on their website. Wanted to sit outside, but was told there was a wait even thought we has a reservation. Seemed to me short staffed.
Food was AMAZING. Great waterviews. The staff was also amazing. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful waterfront location for dining. This was our second visit. Food was good. Martini a bit skimpy. Service from JJ was exceptional!
This restaurant is pretty, retaining some of the hardwood floors from the warehouse that existed there at one time, incorporating other elements from the old building into the new. They really need to add some decor other than just plastic tables and uncomfortable chairs (outside) like candles, flowers, tablecloths, placemats, hey what about simple salt and pepper shakers? The view was beautiful watching the sun set on the patio and boats passing down Taylor's Creek. We went there twice, once for lunch and another time for dinner. The menu is very limited- what we had for lunch was better then what had for dinner- particularly price and value. I do wish they offer some daily special soups to their menu, and expand the menu all together. I do suggest eating outside vs inside which is part of the inside of the hotel. They appear to abiding the Covid regulations. I have a hard time beyond a 3 rating. Not wowed, not terrible but truly average based on where we dine all around Atlantic Beach, Morehead and Beaufort.
Great food as always. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning for dinner!!
Food great, portions small. Hard to believe with the location that the design and ambiance does not reflect a nautical theme, nor representative of Beaufort or the history of the area. The only way you know you are not in Raleigh is to look out the window at Taylor's Creek. I saw two prints of oyster shells on the wall. The interior was representative of anywhere USA. Lighting at tables terrible. Do not go for a romantic dinner.
Very enjoyable evening. Dinned inside and felt reasonably safe. Staff wore face masks, but a couple of them wore below their noses—as I see in many places. Food was very good as was the service.
We came for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, wait staff was awesome, and overall had a great evening.
My friend & I shared 3 appetizers (cheese board, scallops, & crab cakes). All delicious & just right with a glass of wine! We sat on the deck & enjoyed the activities on Taylor’s Creek. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a fine chef & impeccable service! Can’t beat that!!🎉🎉
Food from start to finish was delicious. Presentation was beautiful and great drink menu.
Very courteous staff during COVID pandemic. Social distancing appreciated for our patio dining experience. Pricey but delicious chicken & Pork chop meals.
Great food, atmosphere and views. Seating was not comfortable though.
Outstanding service and great meal. Thank you for accommodating us on the outside patio!
Great! Felt very safe. All the servers and staff wore masks .
Beautiful restaurant on the water, great food!
Haley went over and beyond to make sure out fining experience was great! Kudos!
Leslie, the hostess, provided us with an outdoor table with view of a beautiful full moon. Hayley, our waitress , helped us with our food selections and we were delighted with the salad, entree and dessert. Definitely recommend this venue!
Food was mediocre at best. Certainly did not meet or exceed expectations unfortunately. Beautiful layout but the food and waiter were more of outback type quality.
