Our waiter was fabulous but the manager was rude to one of the kids at our table about her good and ruined the vibe.
We were greeted promptly and warmly upon arrival and offered our choice of available seating. Service was great; martinis were great; food was adequate but the value proposition was a little off. That ay be just the new almost post -pandemic world in which we will have to live.
Hidden gem! Food was delicious and drink was amazing. Reasonably priced for a high end experience.
Staff was great, the menu had unusual items, but was we had was very good.
The service and the food was great! We tried the crab cake appetizer, had the steak entree and split the derby pie— all delicious!
First time, the food was good and the service was great. A limited menu but enough options to satisfy.
It was one of the worse dining experiences I have had in a long time. They ran out of multiple entrees (including all salads on the menu) and delayed in letting us know. We never plan to dine at 33 Staves again. Obviously, poor planning, management, and food quality was lacking.
Delicious food; beautiful setting; but the lighting was so very harsh (felt like eating under cafeteria lights). If the lights were dimmed just a bit it would be perfect all around.
the burgers were outstanding, nicely charbroiled and the fries were perfectly done!
Couldn’t eat there because we stood around awkwardly for a while and no one helped us. Restaurant was oddly bright and very empty of people. Decided to get tacos across the street. They were delicious.
Food was delicious. Drinks were pricey but ended up being worth the money. They apologized for being busy and understaffed but I would’ve never known.
The food was very good and the service was fast and attentive. We ordered dinner and breakfast the next day. I would 10/10 recommend.
We went for breakfast. When we arrived we waited uncomfortably at the hostess stand the staff did not even acknowledge we were there. After waiting for some time we were seated. The coffee was terrible. The service was slow. The food was not good either. They didn’t so much as bring us a glass of water. They did not top off our coffee until the very end. The coffee was not worth drinking anyway.
Great food. I’ve had a few dishes heavy on the salt. Great feel to this restaurant.
The service did not impress, waitress seemed inexperienced and did not look like she wanted to be there. The food was good so that really saved the experience, but how is a restaurant of this category out of Diet Coke?? The bar tender did dig out a can somewhere but it was almost expired and sadly flat already. The place is very pretty and it seemed like for a weekend it should have been a bit more crowded. It was pretty empty. All in all I would say the food saved the place but the service is really going to prevent us from picking this place over so many other options in Lex. Hope it was a fluke and possibly could try again with the right incentive.
Good food, but service was not so great.
Fantastic experience all around, I highly recommend!
Excellent food. They were understaffed but did an excellent job all things considered
I was excited to try this place, but unfortunately was very underwhelmed. We were there for bunch on a Sunday and it really felt like the brunch was an afterthought. Everyone was prepping for dinner (or something) and taking care of the brunch crowd was just an extra choir. The food was average at best. I ordered country ham, which turned out to be city ham, which wasn't even an option. My wife ordered chicken and waffles with extra crispy waffles. She get extra crispy chicken and limp waffles. Maybe the whole brunch thing is new and they just don't have it down yet, but we probably will not be back.
We enjoyed our meal there. Ambiance, service and food were perfect.
Excellent experience. Not a large menu but there’s something for everyone. Went there with multi generational family and everyone enjoyed it. Amy was excellent! An unexpected treat. We will be back!
Not a good experience at all.
Not sure why a restaurant would want to use OpenTable and have people reserve a table when the wait staff couldn’t organize a sock drawer. Three people struggles to get water to tables. 7 tables walked out. Once we did get water never saw waitress again until she was crying at the computer.
Great time! Our server was awesome, food was great! Perfect place to catch up with old friends.
Great vibe and good food in an interesting neighborhood.
Very quick and friendly service. Menu was small but very good selections and our food was awesome!
Wonderful experience! We have never been to 33 Staves before, but we are so glad we did and will be back. We celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary last night and wanted to try something new for dinner.
The staff was friendly, smiley, and helpful, and just attentive enough (without being overbearing or absent). The ambiance is wonderful, it's a nicely designed dining room with lots of natural light and seating options. Beautiful in every direction you look with thoughtfully-selected dining ware and glasses, fresh flowers on the table, and romantic seating options, you will be hard-pressed to find a more appropriate romantic or speacial occasion dining destination at the price point.
The menu is fairly small, but had several delicious sounding entrees, including three plant-based options. I am vegan, and I was able to order a delicious harvest bowl straight from the menu without any modifications, and the server was knowledgeable about if the dressing was vegan or not. My husband ordered the Steak Frites which was a really nice portion, especially for $25, and it came with a salad and fries. He was very pleased with his meal as well.
If you are looking for a chic place for dinner that isn't too over-the-top trendy and try-hard, and doesn't forget to consider the menu, this is the hidden gem for you! Tasty, priced well, sunny, quiet, and pleasant.
Horrible from the time we walked in! Had been here previously in February and it was amazing. The staff, the service, and the food was superb. This time everything was awful. Amy the bartender/hostess/server/cook does not have a grasp on any of those tasks. Undercooked food, a hour wait for a steak that was over cooked and cauliflower that was raw. We will never be back.
The food was excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection.
Low on staff so service was slow but overall good experience and great ambiance! Very nice and modern decor.
Excellent Food and Drinks! Staff friendly and polite. Bar is absolutely beautiful-nice place for either drinks with friends or dinner. Wonderful atmosphere will definitely be back!
Excellent service from Amy!
Loved everything about this place, the food, drinks, ambience and the bar/lounge vibes.
Food was great.
Wonderful atmosphere and the food and staff was fantastic! Highly recommend!
We tried this place for the first time. The place is nice great atmosphere! The only issue is the allowance of dogs because it is open to the lobby of the hotel. The noise level was the people talking over the dogs and across the lobby. It would be quieter if the lobby was closed off! The service was top notch and many checks by the management and our server! The steak frites was good and the meat cooked properly. The crab cake was good and not a lot of breading in the meat. The cheeseburger has two patties and they can not cook to temp (no mid rare) they cook like a smash burger style. Our only complaint was the French fries, we commented that they felt like they were baked not fried. We were assured they were fried. The brownie was outstanding! We will be back for another round!
Went there for brunch on a Saturday. There were only 1 other group that sat down at the same time (probably only had 3 tables the whole time we were there) and service was pretty much nonexistent. Staff was nice, but we had to grab their attention for refills on drinks numerous times.
Limited selection on the brunch menu and portions were small. Took at least 30 mins for our food.
Plenty of free parking spaces
Décor is very modern farmhouse-ish
Welcoming but quiet ambience and environment (we were sat far away from the check in/out desk, so didn't even notice people coming in/out)
Overall, this place is perfect if you're looking for a nice place to sit down and catch up with some friends during happy hour. I wish they were open during 12p-4pm, because it would be a perfect spot for an afternoon tea/coffee!
The worst service experience I’ve ever had. They had 2 servers, bar tender, and manager. Even though we had made reservations. We were not greeted. Told to pick a table. We chose outside as we originally planned. We waited 15 minutes before were greeted at our table. No menus, no water, or any silverware. Once we put drinks and apps in, we waited 30 minutes before our appetizer came. We still didn’t have our water, silverware or our drinks. We were checked on once towards the end of our meal. We waited 30 minutes for our check before just going inside and asking for it.. total we were there for 2 hours and ate less than 30 minutes of that time. We never received water.
