    Usually I’d give 5 stars all around but in this case, not so much. Unfortunately for the restaurant it wasn’t their fault. A private party upstairs almost ruined our dinner and the people around us. The people from upstairs were loud and out of control. They were coming down the stairs yelling back up to their party upstairs. Others were coming down to smoke in the area where people were try to eat. We had to move to get away from the smokers but that put us next to the stairs. People continued coming down yelling and one woman came down drunk and dropped her glass container and it shattered everywhere. But the service and food were excellent.

    We have been going here for years and I have to say that the service was hands down horrible! Too many fun restaurants in Carlsbad not to feel like you’re a guest.

    Fresco's food and service were outstanding. The big drawback was the noise! There weren't many people there on a Monday night; however, the concrete floors and other hard surfaces amplified each sound. As more people came in, the noise level got so loud I couldn't hear my boyfriend talking across the table. I can't imagine what it's like on a full night.

    264 Fresco is always my first choice when I have guests in town. Great food and cocktails, nice atmosphere and great service. We usually get a table outside. This last time we ate inside because it was chilly and it was just as nice.

    We had an exceptional dining experience. The service was fantastic, and it was only outmatched by the food. Our two small dogs were welcome, and they were very comfortable the entire time. This is my favorite place in Carlsbad Village, and one I’ll definitely visit again.

    Food was good. My martini was good except I wasn’t sure it was Tanqueray (could be my taste being off). Servers were pleasant and accommodated my bothersome wheelchair. Our only real problem was that the acoustics indoors made it difficult for our 60-70 year old ears to enable a conversation. Hope your holidays are good.

    Went there for Thanksgiving dinner while visiting Oceanside. While I was thankful they were open that night, what I was served as a turkey dinner was disappointing. I wish I had taken a photo of the meal. The entire plate was in the color of brown or black, with the exception of the mashed potatoes. The stuffing was a dry black square, the 3 grilled carrots were burnt, the turkey had skin that was charred black and the meat was dry. The entire plate was smothered in a dark brown salty gravy that tasted more like beef. I've never sent a plate back to the kitchen, but I should have with this one, even on Thanksgiving. Again, I was glad they were one of the few places open that night, but I should have bucked tradition and gone with a meal they are more familiar with like pasta.

    Too noisy!!!! Food wonderful and plenty. After an hour I could not hear my partner speak and I have $6,000 hearing aids.

    I rarely take the time to write a review but this restaurant was so bad I felt I needed to let others know. Between the 4 of us we ordered 5 different food items. All were very bland and overpriced. Service was ok at best. Needed water filled several times with no service(I actually got up once and filled my own water with pitcher on side table.) we sat outside and bench side of the table was very uncomfortable. The top piece of wood on backrest was digging into my back. Our total was $155. Needless to say we won’t be going back to 264 fresco

    This is a beautiful restaurant. However we went on Thanksgiving and ordered the Roast Turkey dinner and it was pretty terrible. The turkey breast was tough and hard to cut with a steak knife. The whole meal was floating in gravy that was over sweet. We did enjoy the appetizers and dessert, so figure it was a thanksgiving issue.

    Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving experience at '264 Fresco'! Our permanent home is in Nebraska, but we return every winter to enjoy the food and SoCal vibe. Over the years, we've celebrated significant events at "264" because of the staff, food & ambiance and we love the way the restaurant makes us feel! Thank you to the entire team for maintaining the outstanding traditions people like us have come to expect from your fine establishment!

    Probably not the Best nite to go…. Tuesday nite before Thanksgiving …our waiter was Great… food very slow…lasagna over cooked…pasta mushy…parrapelle/short ribs pasta was dry…was our 56th Anniversary and they were very aware…and we were pleased…have had other dinners there… much better than tonight..

    The new upstairs deck is super cool. A bit slow receiving our drinks but server was very friendly. Dinner downstairs was delicious.

    The minute we were seated I questioned if we were going to like the place, the tables are so close to each other that the room was so loud you could not here the person at your table speaking to you. Then we waited at least 10-15 minutes before we even had a server greet us at our table . Once he actually came over we ordered our drinks and food at the same time . My pizza came out extremely fast and 25 minutes later my husband still hadn’t received his pasta . We end up canceling the pasta and he shared my pizza . For the price , the pizza was okay not the best I’ve had . It didn’t taste authentic or even have a lot of flavor at all. We will not return .

    Excellent dining experience. Very relaxing and fun atmosphere. Delicious food and our server was awesome! We love this place and we’ll be back for an early lunch on Thanksgiving Day. I totally recommend this place!

    The chicken parm was not good. The chicken was literally the size of my head pumped full of steroids. There was a $30 corkage fee for the wine I brought and the manager was very rude about that fee. I’ve had better chicken parm at my neighborhood pizza place

    Wonderful experience! Our table was ready even when I arrived early. Our Waiter was charming, attentive, and helpful throughout our dinner. All dishes were delicious and hot. All drinks were chilled and excellent tasting. Ambiance was very restful like a Parisian cafe. Easy valet parking. We love this place.

    Ambiance was phenomenal! Great place for friends or couples! Took my friend here for a birthday dinner! Food was great! Truffle fries and Brussel sprouts were 10/10. The mezcal drink was 8/10. You must definitely have an open mind for the mezcal flavor. It’s almost woody at first but fruity after every sip. We were at the bottom of the restaurant and outdoors. Our server was 10/10! Unfortunately I forgot his name! But he is from Big Sur and has great fishing stories! Location is great as well, close to the beach for a nice nightcap. Overall, 9/10 experience, food, service, location! Reservation was made for this dinner. Price is $$-$$$ depending on what you order. Our final price, tip included was a little under $200. 2 appetizers, 3 drinks, 2 entrees + tip.

    It was our first time here but not our last. The service was perfect—attentive and friendly. We loved everything we had and the homemade pasta was delicious. Our favorite was the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken thighs. And the atmosphere was lively, decor was beautiful, and it was capped off with a view of the sunset.

    The food—as always—was great! I had a Caesar Salad with shrimp and a glass of Merlot. Outdoor dining was quite enjoyable. Service, however, was a bit slow. Caesar salad was delivered without the server having a pepper grinder with him. It took a few minutes for him to return. Dressing was a bit sparse. I asked for more. It was delivered, but again with a slight delay. But these two inconveniences don’t detract from the great good at 264 Fresco!

    Food was very good. Service bordered on awful. Waited and waited and waited and it wasn’t that crowded. Wait staff seemed more interested in talking with each other rather than waiting on customers. Music was way too loud!

    Excellent service and good food. We generally sit at the bar. The bartenders are personable and make a mean cocktail. We celebrated a birthday this time and sat at a table. Our server was properly attentive without being overbearing. I believe her name was Emily or Amy? All in all a lovely experience. Very happy to have Fresco in our village.

    Love the view from the balcony, especially with out of town company. The food nd cocktails were excellent! And, our waitperson and other staff were excellent. As we are elderly, good handicapped parking to assist us.

    Food is always awesome! Our server was a bit slow due to her not having enough staff help. That’s why I gave 4/5 stars. All in all, this is one of those restaurants we go to every time we go to Carlsbad.

    Food was amazing, the only thing we didn’t fully enjoy was the white pizza, a bit dry for our taste. But the drinks were delicious and so was the ravioli, beet salad, and Brussels sprouts! Will be back.

    Excellent service and great food. The heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella on the caprese were delicious and the pesto sauce really enhanced them both. My Ravioli di Aragosta was amazing — the lobster was cooked just right and almost melted in my mouth and the sauce was unbelievably good. My wife’s carbonara is so good that’s all she ever orders. All-in-all a very successful dinner experience.
