   It’s tucked away in a nondescript strip mall on Mission Avenue. Helmed by chefs Nic Webber and Jacob Jordan—both alums of San Diego’s Michelin-starred Addison—this intimate restaurant delivers a masterclass in refined Chinese cuisine through the lens of fine dining. 24 Suns is a concept rooted in the Chinese lunisolar calendar’s 24 solar terms, which guide the restaurant’s seasonal approach to ingredients and menu development. That ethos is reflected in every detail, from the serene, scroll-lined interior to the elegant plating that arrives with quiet confidence. Dishes here are deeply rooted in Chinese tradition but elevated with French technique and California seasonality. The highlights from our dining experience were the Shrimp Robuchon, a decadent jumbo shrimp wrapped in a delicate crepe, brightened by house hot mustard and pickled goji berries, Jiaozi with Doubanjiang Butter, and Wood Ear Mushrooms with shaved horseradish. The wine and tea program, curated by former Addison sommelier Kyle South complements the menu with an impressive range of natural wines and rare teas that speak to the restaurant’s refined yet approachable vision. 24 Suns isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a meditative, sensory experience that surprises at every turn. Oceanside may seem an unlikely setting for such an ambitious project, but that’s exactly the point.    Wow! Definitely recommend going if you want a culinary Chinese cuisine experience. Everything thing we ordered was exceptional. The flavor profile on each dish was unique and balanced creating a beautiful experience with each bite. Bird nest and shrimp robuchon were the perfect starters, the Jiaozi dumpling were Heaven in the mouth, then the brown butter fried chicken was crispy excellent and the Shanghai noodle! P.S. if you love chicken and there is 2 of you highly recommend getting 2 orders of the fried chicken because you won’t want to share :-) All the staff is super friendly. Definitely go for a special occasion or when you want a special meal.

   Fantastic restaurant. Do not miss the tuna belly crudo or dumplings. Also delicious are the longevity noodle dish, whole fried fish and wagyu steak. Relaxing , beautiful space, great wine list, great service. It’s in a non descript strip mall center but do not let that fool you. Worth it!

   Very nice time with things we never would have thought to order. Good suggestions from the staff. Nicely done overall. This was a trip to a gastronomical fantasy experience.

   Not knowing what to expect even after reading the menu, (which changes almost daily) we were informed about each item that we showed interest in. The service and attention of the "matre' de was outstanding. It was a fun experience for us 5 seniors. We did order the fish for the table which was excellent, so fresh! The service was excellent and we had time to banter back and forth with the server, who explained each item. Everything is fresh a true Asian fusion of interesting tastes and flavors. Pricey for the area, which I was surprised to find in that shopping center. Don't let the outside fool you, the interior is inviting, and comfortable. Try it for a different experience.

   This place is a hidden gem. From Kyle ( who greeted and seated us) to the rest of the waiters and chefs, everything was wonderful. The food was delightful and delectable. My son and I are foodies and this place did not disappoint.

    24 Suns is a ways off the beaten path but well worth it. It’s in a small strip mall off of Mission Ave in Oceanside. The service was top notch and the food was excellent. We had the shrimp dumplings and the sauce on them was so delicious! We also had the pork chop and the sweetbreads. Everything was so good. The manager and chef both came to our table to see how we liked everything, a great touch! If you are in the Oceanside area you should definitely check it out.
