Great dining experience. We have been at 20/Twenty over the years and they have always met our expectations. this past time, the menu had been updated with some great dishes. We had an outstanding server (Scott H.) who made some recommendations which were fantastic. Great atmosphere and view of the Pacific- Great selections and great service. A gem in Carlsbad!

Loved the braised pork cheeks, and a delightful Napoleon for dessert. Outstanding service, and no wait on a Wednesday evening.

The food was outstanding Our server was also very good. The restaurant was sterile and cold as though we were in an office or medical building lobby. The lights at the entrance of the hotel were so bright having sunglasses would have been helpful.

This was a very unfortunate experience overall. The service was atrocious. Took forever to get our drinks my cocktail was undrinkable turned out they had left out a major ingredient. The waiter brought the wrong food to our table then took everything away to remake. My friend was never asked if she would like a refill on her soda when she finally asked for it they forgot it. The steak was chewy and virtually raw but it took so long to get we were afraid to ask for replacement. This did not seem an isolated incident as the table behind us was asked if they'd like dessert before their meal was served. They gave us a small discount but if ever a meal should have been free, this was it. We are owners at Marbrisa so we come every year and were excited to try this restaurant and very disappointed to have such an awful experience.
Hi sean. I am so sorry your experience wasn't as expected, especially joining us as a Marbrisa owner. This is not the service we strive to deliver. I am thankful that you send us your feedback as we use it to find opportunities, however I hope next time you're at Marbrisa you give us a chance to make it truly worthwhile.
Excellent restaurant, our waiter (John) was really good, providing suggestions and friendly conversation.
The food choices were great and presentation was excellent.
To be thoroughly recommended.
The butcher block was a very well prepared filet, and the pacific catch was a really delicious, buttery white fish, sheepshead. They were both excellent, and the compressed pear salad was amazing and a reason by itself to dine here.

We were not blown away. However, 20/twenty provides a nice atmosphere for your dinner. For the price, we would have preferred a bit more from our meal. It seamed to be lacking and was a bit overpriced.
We came here for Valentine’s Day dinner and it was amazing! Their preset menu was incredible and the service was top notch. We will definitely be back!
Your listing indicated We could order the Valentines Day special or order from the regular dinner menu. When we got there we were informed that the regular menu was not available and we could only order the Valentines Day menu. We felt they were being dishonest in switching. The staff had not been trained in that they brought the wrong order out to our table and to other tables. Finally, they claimed that we were a no show for our reservation when we checked in under Richard Quandt which our reservation was under. Westin has recently taken over 20/20 from the Sheraton. The new decor was good, but they need to train the staff and make sure their advertising is accurate.
The Best Clam chowder :) the food is great and the staffs are very nice.

We ended up saying in the bar area. Many retirees there also. Great time of fellowship. Enjoyed the maple bacon bourbon cocktail.

Menu needs to be expanded to more of a variety. It has more salad for entrees than meat/fish selections.

Had a great time enjoying the last night of restaurant at 20/ twenty. All of our food and drinks were great. Our server was exceptional. She really did a great job.

Awkward waitress. Expensive for everyday
My and my partner's soups were excellent. Entrees were good but my duck breast was a bit chewy and the fat not rendered or crisp. Deserts were very rich perhaps a bit too rich; my chocolate concoction was so rich I could not finish it. The service was peerless, attentive, unhurried but well paced. We really enjoyed the quiet, uncrowded ambience, sitting well away from the bar. Value, ok being the SDRW special, but I would not go there on a regular Saturday.

Comfortable environment and pregect to enjoy meal with fur babies
This is our first time here and I must say the food is delicious. The service is above and beyond if you have a chance to have Scott aka Josh Brolin as your waiter well your experience will be that much more enjoyable. The clam chowder beats any and all clam chowder I have ever had. We will definitely be coming back again.
We enjoyed eating outdoors for lunch on a sunny afternoon at the large, outdoor patio - with glimpses of the ocean in the far-off distance. We really liked the clam chowder and the pork sandwich - and the portion size for both was very generous. The sandwich came with fries, a very nice fruit salad or a large tossed green salad.
Nothing special, food was ok but not enough to make me come back again
The place was empty when we arrived and we were attended to quickly by the waiter. Our order was placed, kids meals came out quickly, adult entrees took a bit longer, waiter checked on us once, and basically disappeared. Nestor, the busboy/helper was much more attentive and checked on us often, even helping to flag down our waiter to get the checl after we sat for 15 minutes with the kids leftovwrs The rib eye was good, but not worth the price tag. The salmon verlasso entree, not so. The salmon part of the entree was underseasoned but decent (though I tend to like my salmon well done, so others may feel that the salmon was very overcooked). The rest of the food that came with the entree was subpar and did not really fit with the rest of the meal. The rutabaga mash was too sweet and too salty at the same time, while the gooseberry chutney was wavered between tart and overly sweet. Overall the flavors did not blend well at all so I would recommend passing on the verlasso salmon.

We had a great waitress! She was so sweet! Also, food was amazing!
I arrived hoping to have a fantastic dinner with my mother for Christmas. We were seated once they found our reservation. We asked the hostess if there were any special accommodations that could be made for a celiac (gluten free). The hostess said she did not know. I asked her, "Should we ask our server?" She then said yes. I've always felt that every person who works at any establishment does not always have to have all the answers, but they should always feel empowered to find out. I don't see going to ask this one question as a big task.
Anyway, we sat for 20 minutes with no service. No one came to greet us. It was embarrassing to be treated that way and disappointed. We did see the manager walking around straightening chairs, however.
We left. As we were walking out, one of the staff asked why we were leaving. They were shocked to find a waiter never came to our table, but still, no one insisted that we stay.
It's really hard to rebook a reservation on Christmas day.
Lovely sitting on patio with heaters and fireplace. Food was delicious and server was exceptional.
The food is overpriced and the service was slow. The restaurant was about 60% full but the service was really slow. The waiter forgot the salad that we ordered and took a very long time before bringing the entreés after the appetizer. We're starving and had to ask for a bread basket while waiting for the entreés. When I got my entreé, the tomato was cold and the sauce over the pork cheeks and the polenta were congealed. Although the ribeye was nicely cooked, I had never seen a place put so much sauce on the steak. Not very nice looking. Both fish were well cooked. All the desserts were priced at $11 and only one was worth it. The offered mocha flavored panna cotta at $11 but the consistency was more like pudding not light like panna cotta. Calling it panna cotta was more like false advertisement. Would not return.

Excellent experience thanks to a most attentive manager! Upon arrival I discovered that the table I had reserved (private) had been seated one hour before with another group. It was potentially a huge disappointment. However, the manager seated us at a booth and compted our drinks and appetizers until the earlier party vacated our table. We were then seated and have a splendid experience. All of this was due to an unusually attentive and sensitive manager. I will definitely go here again often and recommend it to the pickiest friends. This kind of service is very hard to find and is greatly appreciated!

Thanksgiving Buffet was over priced. Service was not attentive . Selection of food was limited. Holiday atmosphere was lacking.
Turkey was good. Desserts were not good- very commercial. They charged a 20% service charge ( to cover all food preparers) which was not advertised. A buffet should not have a service charge. Cost was very high for what was offered.
We were terribly disappointed in this buffet. We've been to Westin holiday meals before and come to expect that level of quality. Originally we were excited to try the 20|Twenty's buffet, but now will not return to this restaurant. Every year we do a buffet at a resort in town or traveling. This was the worst one by far. It was overpriced, there were few options and half of them were bland or over/undercooked. We expected more value for the price and reputation, otherwise we'd have gone to a restaurant for 1/2 of the cost.
The menu was incredible. My husband and I celebrated our 7th anniversary here and it met all expectations. We had outside seating by a gas fireplace under the stars! It was romantic and professional. Our waitress Stephani was awesome and attentive. Was the perfect evening!
