It was good and the ambience was awesome. The only thing is that sometimes it got a little noisy even though we were the only party in Bass room. It was coming from Jewett room.

This was our first visit to this wonderful restaurant — and it won’t be our last. As my wife said, “this restaurant is a keeper.” An understatement. We wanted something special to celebrate our 41st anniversary. And 1870 delivered. A great place, indeed. The food was great and our server Valeria provided excellent service thought the evening. Thank you for making our celebration extra special.

Friendly and attentive service. Everything from the salad to the scallop appetizer to the bread pudding for desert had great plate appeal and was incredibly tasteful and refreshingly different! I am kind of a steak snob, but my filet was cooked to perfection! Delicious! Best steak I have had in a very long time. Will definitely go back-soon!

A family owned, intentionally delivered, excellent dining experience. Right there with the top restaurants in the Richmond area.
