   Sat at the oyster bar. Not really anyone’s station so I had to flag down someone whenever I needed anything. I get that it’s winding down there, and looked short handed Still a great food experience

   Our Server did a horrible job. When I asked what the Chefs Special was he responded by saying Starwberry Grouper and that’s it. His name is Patt B. Horrible server. When he worked with another table he explained the entire dish, showed the fish on the wall, etc. I think it had a lot to do with the color of my skin. Needless to say I won’t be revisiting. The food was pretty good, not amazing. I ordered the Chef’s Whole Fish, Chefs Fish, and the Huckleberry Goat for dessert.

   We went for a quiet birthday celebration for my husband, who is a gin lover. He ordered one of the cocktails with color changing gin and enjoyed it immensely. I ordered the F.D.M martini made with Citadel gin. It was perfectly made, thick with those almost frozen bits and barely skipped over my tongue. He loved his shrimp cocktail and the Blue Point Oysters I ordered were definitely on "point", as was the horsradish spicy cocktail sauce. He had perfectly seared scallops. He did wish there had been just one more scallop on the plate and I agreed. I had the slow baked salmon. I love to pan sear my salmon, but if I can figure out how to slow bake salmon to buttery, velvety perfection like they did at 1751 Sea & Bar, I may never leave home again. His desert was the Mallory cake, a lemon and sesame sponge cake with loads of great flavor. My desert was the Huckleberry G.O.A.T. a goat cheese and white chocolate cheese cake on a pistachio cookie crust with brambleberry compote on top. It had a slight hint of sweet from the huckleberries. In conclusion, I've heard that 1751 is about to close, but might reopen at some time in the future in a yet to be determined location. Please hurry up and reopen!!!

   Celebrating an Anniversary. One with a zero in it. Treated ourselves to the seafood tower. Adrian sugggested a great champagne. Made for a great night.

   I love, love, love this restaurant. The food is so good and service to match. Comparable seafood dishes in other restaurants go for much higher prices, so they offer great value. The servers offer great recommendations if you need them. And the wine and cocktails are very good. Lovely place. We are happy to keep coming here.

    It was super busy for a Friday and they were short staffed. The waiter and even hostess were apologetic about the slow service, which I appreciated. However, there was a table of 5 that seemed to have 3-4 dedicated people serving them. Maybe they were important people but as a result the rest of the restaurant suffered. It would have been nice if management had recognized or cared about the experience for the rest of the patrons. I might be back for a drink at the bar but it won’t be soon nor will it be table service.

    Great service. Hugo always makes our experience amazing! The fried shrimp is amazing. Scallops also received rave reviews at our table. Never had a bad meal.

    The restaurant was really good! Our waiter was excellent. He worked with bartender to create a drink to my liking, altering a drink on menu (making it spicier and adding something else to it that I told him I like). The food was fresh and tasty. Got seafood with the snow crab claws, a couple dozen oysters, and also the oyster/caviar flight which were all really good!! And then we got the squid ink gnocchi and it was so good we ordered it again. We were full (from a burger we had earlier in the day partly) so didn't get to order any of the large dishes but for our first time there was wonderful. We will be back. Nice to have a fine Seafood restaurant like that in Heights when in the mood for a little more upscale (but not too stuffy that you couldn't bring a kid along!).

    Great service. These meals: tuna, grilled shrimp, ceviche, oysters,and calamari where fantastic. The New Zealand muscles looked great but a bit dry and meat smallish. Desert banana split was fun to share with surprise and welcome pandan flavor ice cream.

    Decor was nice, crowd was light which was good for me. But our waiter was not attentive - asking questions about the oyster menu seemed uninformative. When we told him my date was gluten AND dairy sensitive he missed the mark on one and not the other - made ordering the side useless. And then the worst part of the whole night - guest at table next to us was so loud the whole restaurant could hear yet we were stuck next to the table. The waiter and manager could not have missed it and yet still allowed it to continue. When we asked the hostess for a quiet corner, we were placed next tk the loudest group possible. The attention to detail was tone deaf.

    Had two different kinds of oysters and both were delicious. The baked king salmon was done perfectly. Sat at the bar and loved the bar chef. He kept us entertained. Our waitress found have been more attentive and took a while to Get drinks. We will go back.

    The martinis were tiny but other cocktails (old fashion, G&T’s etc) were excellent! The seafood selection was awesome with equal preparation, presentation and taste! Definition will be back.

    The oysters were amazing and the chef’s fresh fish preparation was fabulous! Black drum and red snapper were featured. Pierce was an amazing waitress and quite knowledgeable with regard to the cocktails as well as the cuisine. It was our second time to enjoy this restaurant and we will be back!

    Poor service and very small portions. Odd music choice for that vibe and price. Advertised as a gin bar only had 4 craft cocktails on the menu. Overall experience was disappointing. We will not be returning.

    Food was all very tasty, the smoked salmon and the calamari in particular. They were out of our first-choice wine but the alternative was good. Service was very attentive and friendly. It was busy and the place had a nice buzz.

    From the cocktails to oysters to main course to desserts, the entire menu was outstanding at 1751 Sea and Bar. Don't let the location in a strip mall fool you - the ambiance is trendy and spacious on the inside and the chef and waitstaff really know what they're doing here. I would highly recommend getting the grilled oysters and a side of the potatoes - you won't regret it!

    We chose this restaurant for our holiday work dinner. Service was excellent. Our waitress made great suggestions and answered our many questions (our group was new to this restaurant so we had a lot). Food was delicious! Could not complain about any of it. I will note we mostly got all the shareable, small bite options (in addition to the oysters) so I cannot comment on the entrees. Food is a bit pricey for small-ish servings, which having the shareable options we knew they would be the case, but just be aware you'll be getting one bite of most things. Overall, would recommend for a group outing.

    Amazing wine pricing here! How have I not learned about this place yet? Crispy snapper was simply and deliciously prepared. Himachi crudo very fresh, chawanmushi a little salty but still one of the most interesting chawanmushi presentations I've ever seen, great texture on the calamari. Delicious assortment of cocktails to begin for the gin lover. Can't wait to come back with a larger group and destroy that wine list!

    Service very slow and a bit arrogant. Menu seemed more limited than I remembered. Forgot our drinks, then only brought 2 of three when reminded. $20.00 banana split was WAY overpriced. Not a place I’ll want to return to quickly.

    Outstanding food and great atmosphere. The small plates were particularly fantastic. The heirloom tomato dish was just incredible. And I don’t like tomatoes. But it’s pricy for what you get.
