   For a hump-day mid-day lunch I was surprised by the crowdedness of the restaurant. That's a good sign, though, eh? Service was just right -- smiling, helpful, responsive service personnel all around from entry w/ reservation (recommended) to respecttful & well-timed re-appearance(s) to completion of paying the bill. If you go and need the least amount of noise about you, then choose a booth w/ the wall at your back for easy seating of 2, 3, 4 and maybe more. The food is really-really good. Generous but manageble (to eat in one sitting) portions arrived at just the right temp and at just the right time. The menu is interesting & diverse enough to please 95% or more of diners, including excelent wine and cocktail selections. Time frame for dining was just right, about 90 minutes which, for a busy and really-good restaurant, is quite reasonable IMO. This was my first visit; I will go again!

   The special Lake Erie Walleye sautéed not breaded with light beure blanc sauce was excellent and a good valued meal with rice salad and arugula at $24 I would order it again. Pleasant server and falls view perfecto.

   I took my husband for his birthday and we had a GREAT EXPERIENCE! Our Server Sklar was exceptional and attentive to us. The Manager came around to make sure we were doing well and the overall experience was good. We had a good view of the Waterfall and our meals were delectable and cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

   We had requested a table with a view when we made our reservation. However it was not available when we got there so we decided not to wait. It did become available within 15 minutes, so we wish we had waited. Turnover and service were quite prompt.

   Celebrated our 28th anniversary while visiting from Florida with a very tasty meal, cocktails and dessert. Great table with a view of the waterfall including the spot where I proposed 29 years ago! Casually elegant atmosphere, excellent service, valet parking. I highly recommend 17 River Grille!

    We celebrated a wedding anniversary and requested a window seat to view the falls and they were gracious enough to afford us that experience. First time dining and the food was tremendous! The bar area gave a little more casual sports feel but it did not detract or overpower the more upscaled private dining experience. Our server, Brandon, was outstanding. Would request him again if we could! Highly recommend. Will return another time for sure.

    Great first dine-in experience. We’ve gotten take out and enjoyed the food. Dining in the restaurant was an elevated experience. We especially appreciated Pete! Pete was our server and he knows food! Pete was attentive and knowledgeable. His awareness, authenticity, and culinary expertise were refreshing! We’ll be back and we’ll surely ask for Pete!

    Beautiful location with great ambiance. Some staff wear tee shirts that read “Come for the view, stay for the food” and it’s so true! We had asked for a view table which, cannot be guaranteed, but when arrived the hostess informed us that a great table had just opened up and if we took it immediately we could have it. Really wowed our first time guests. Walleye special was spot on. Love this restaurant!

    This was about our 4th visit to 17 and it was great as usual. Since it was a birthday dinner the hostess did everything she could to accommodate us with a table with a spectacular view of the falls. The food, both daily seafood specials, was excellent. A great night all around.

    We enjoyed our lunch overlooking the falls on the riverside level. This seating can't always be promised, but if you get the chance, ask to be seated outside on this level. Great food as always and attentive service.

    We sat outside on a high top table overlooking the falls - absolutely gorgeous! The food was outstanding! Make sure to not pass in the biscuits. Firecracker shrimp and cocktails perfect. Very friendly service. Make sure to make a reservation, place fills quickly. So worth it!

    Not my first time there but my first 17 River Grille Brunch. Everything was excellent we had excellent service (don’t you live it when they bring all of your party’s plates at the same time?) really good quality food with some special touches. Not to be missed BISCUITS with HONEY BUTTER for the table.

    This was date night for my husband and I. We got a table overlooking the water which was great, but when I went downstairs to the restroom I saw another space that we’re excited to try next time. The food was great and even though I got something that I mistakenly ordered, our server Pete offered a redo. I keep my order and I’m glad I did. We’re definitely going back!

    Love the ambience of this restaurant, however…. I ordered the Thai steak and noodle salad with shrimp, which was good.  My hubby, ordered The Cobb salad minus the blue cheese, and it looked like a very sparse side salad. Just a small plate of lettuce with a little bit of bacon on top. Disappointing!

    My friend and I arrived early for lunch to ensure a table with the waterfall view...spectacular! The food was excellent and our server Hailey was perfection. She was attentive and thoughtful, and made sure our experience was a good one.

    Pricey but worth every penny! Delicious roasted artichokes appetizer, lobster bisque & onion soups, and crispy chicken salad (which they even split for us) were exceptional! Excellent service plus patio view of the falls a big plus! What more could you ask for?

    We were seated in the lower level which is open to a view of the Falls. Magnificent! The food and the service were outstanding. This is definitely one of the best restaurants around for food, service and ambiance.

    Server was great, very friendly. Unfortunately I was served fish that was not completely cooked. Being the special of the day, the server immediately took my dish to the kitchen to replace it in rapid fashion. However, the kitchen staff dropped the ball taking 25 minutes to replace my meal. This was long after my wife had finished her meal, ruining the evening. The manager had little to say about the issue and no refund was offered. For a bill of $144.00, I was not happy. This is a location requiring a 45 minute drive for us. I will reconsider this location in the future.
