   This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but our past couple of experiences have not been as strong. Most recently we went there for Mother’s Day brunch. My mom‘s omelette and potatoes were swimming in a puddle of grease. Everything else was just OK.

   Had reservations on Sunday at 11:30. We arrived 8 minutes early and we were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was half empty at that time. We sat for 5 minutes before our server approached us. We ordered drinks and beignet for appetizer and ordered lunch at the same time. It took 15 minutes to get the beignets and when they were delivered they dropped them on me. Powered sugar all over my pant, shirt, table and floor. They brought us another set. The only thing the server said I understand that my co-worker threw beignets at you. And the manager wondered by and said I understand we dropped beignets on you, that stuff is like glitter and laughed. Both me and my wife were taken back at her lack of concern and never even asked if there was something she could do. We waited an hour for our food and it wasn't cooked the way we asked and the table across from us received their food with in minutes of ours and they came in 30-40 minutes after we ordered. In that hour we only saw our server 2 times and we had to ask another employee to get her for us. No drink refills unless we sent someone to chase our server down. It was an extremely disappointing visit. We have been there a couple other times and had a great time.

   I expected more from a historic building with beautiful decor and a fun speakeasy. The ambiance was great, and the stage was set for an immersive speakeasy feel, but the food and drinks didn't compare. The blue cheese steak medallions had a great start with a flavor combination, but they were overcooked. The side of cream corn was tiny and lacked a punch, and the wilted spinach salad was not wilted. All the makings were there with ingredients, it was the execution that left me wanting more. The servers were very attentive. I requested a modern Amaretto Sour, which the bartender graciously made, where the Amaretto was. 10 West has all of the makings of an immersive dinner experience, the focus now should be on execution.

   A great place for a low key evening with friends. Walleye, Chicken Milanese, & Filet were all delicious.

   We celebrated our anniversary tonight and will definitely be adding this to our date night list. We had reservations for the cellar. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. We were very happy with our first experience.

   Always great! Our server was new but she was very attentive and talked us into dessert which was amazing.

   It was good. Nothing wrong with it. Food was ok. Drinks were meh. Service was good. Nice people. Just underwhelmed compared to all the other reviews. For $150 for the two of us I expected better food and drinks though.

    10 West was our go to place in Cicero for years. Early in 2024 things changed. Service and food were declining. Now there is a new owner and the food and service are now better than ever. It is once again our go to in Cicero. ❤️
