Queen Mary Tea Room
We had a girls high tea with five family members. We greatly enjoyed the British flare of decor, tea and food service. I absolutely plan to come here again, but next time without kids. Perhaps a child 7 and up but not younger and most definitely not a baby. Which was my mistake. The environment was slightly uncomfortable with the tables so close and the heat. Though I'm sure if it we're just adults and not me stuck between my two children, I'd have had a much more proper time. Loved Afternoon Tea and highly recommend.
Great place to celebrate special day with friends and friends! It’s a beautiful place and the food was delicious and well -presented.
Always good food and a fun ‘girl’ day out!
We will be back!
The food was excellent and the ambience was exactly the ticket. The service was also very good.
I will be coming back! Love the ambience, service, tea, food, and all the "proper" tea service!
This was a delightful afternoon tea, full of goodies. The sugar cookies, served with the sorbets, were the best we had ever eaten. The sandwiches were good. As always, it may not look like a lot of food on the three tiers, but it is very difficult to finish. The leftovers came home with us to enjoy later. There is an emporium across the street where we bought the sugar cookies and the tea that was served. All and all it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon tea.
We have been here many, many times. The service has always been impeccable. Unfortunately it wasn't that way on our last visit. In the past the service has made our experience so special. Server did not interact just took our order and left. We were given our check without being given the chance to look at the dessert menu. I had to ask her to see it. This tea house is so fun and whimsical. It's a bummer that the server took a little of that feeling away. However, because of past experiences we will be back.
Got stuck in traffic so we were a little late for our reservation, but since we called to let them know, they were prepared to get our tea and food out so we could still have time to enjoy it before the 2 hour limit. Very attentive, polite, and friendly staff, with wonderful food, made an amazing experience. The place is small, and there were more customers than what I'm used to, but it was still quite relaxing and enjoyable for me and my party.
I already given Open Table everything that you have asked for. I have nothing else to say.
Delicious teas for sure and a nice assortment of food in the afternoon tea. Excited to go back and try other things!
A Gluten Free Paradise! - Took my newly diagnosed celiac friend to Queen Mary's and it was the first time she felt "normal." Transitioning away from gluten is hard, and the GF scones at Queen Mary's are out of this world. Always a delight, and you always see a happy little girl in crinoline bouncing away delighted by the experience.
On this day however, the staff was somewhat new, and our service wasn't on par with the usual treatment. We stood for 20 minutes in the tiny entryway while five tables sat empty and we waited for them to be reset. Arthritis, a bad back and knees, made this wait very painful. I even attempted to request a seat at a not set table to relieve my pain. My request was not understood. Once seated and sipping tea, the rest of the experience was a delight.
This place has amazing tea and food. Highly recommend for anyone who would love a tea experience.
Delightful experience!!!!! Tea varieties and High Tea were excellent!
Very cramped space, cluttered decor, not impressed.
Queen Mary is one of my favorite places whenever I am in Seattle. Tea, food and service are always excellent!
The Queen never fails in bringing the best overall Tea Room experience in the Seattle area. The food is always delicious and plentiful, the service is always excellent, the decor is always lovely and season-specific, and the tea itself is superb--always properly brewed in one's own large pot. I know that I will always be served hot, perfect tea that will last as long as I am there enjoying my time of bliss!
This was a fun experience for myself, my husband and my mom. Also enjoyed the little tea/gift shop a few houses down the street.
Food was very good, lovely table settings and the tea was wonderful. Venue is very small, tables very close to each other and there was very little room for the wait staff to maneuver. We were early for our reservation (a group of 5) and some of us chose to wait outside as the waiting area was extremely tight (good thing it wasn’t raining).
As always, a lovely experience. The only place in town to have a nice tea party. I really appreciated the willingness to sub out the salmon mousse item (I don't like seafood) for an artichoke item. My out-of-town guest - a man - enjoyed it! The only slight negative was it was a bit warm and stuffy due to being crowded.
Wonderful afternoon spent at the tea house. Ginger peach tea is delicious both hot and iced. I bought a tin to take home. The afternoon tea is incredible - from the sorbet with teapot shaped sugar cookie starter to everything on the tiered plate stand - sandwiches, zucchini or banana bread (can’t remember but it’s perfect), scones and treats. My husband ordered the smoked salmon quiche and couldn’t stop talking about it. Will go here again when I’m back in town. Staff /servers/owner all polite and helpful.
The best high tea one can find in Seattle.
Our server was a bit new and needed to be prompted multiple times to bring us things such as milk. And the tables are bit cramped so that those of us sitting near the main aisle were jostled regularly by waitstaff and other patrons passing by
Great place to visit. Service and food were terrific.
I enjoyed my meal at the Queen Mary Tea Room. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is that the air conditioning was turned up so high that I was uncomfortably cold, even while wearing a sweater. This wasn't a one-off. I dined there twice in August, and both times it was really cold.
I had a wonderful time at the Queen Mary Tea Room! The two hours went by so fast; the food, the tea, the ambience, and, of course, the staff were all wonderful. It is worth the price and I want to go back, either by myself or with friends.
Great birthdays celebration! Very fun. Will return next year!
Excellent experience. Very crowded table and hard to maneuver all of the wonderful food in such a small space. Overall, highly recommend.
A truly lovely event! Warm welcome upon arrival, by the bird in the aviary at entry as well as by the accommodating staff. Cozy table rot near the window and flawless service. Every bite was a delight (we enjoyed afternoon tea as well as brunch selections). Many thanks for the lovely experience! We can’t wait to visit again.
Queen Mary is always a fun place to eat. The tea selections are boundless, the food delish and the service is great.
Vegetarian choices can be found; vegan is more difficult.
I loved the afternoon tea experience! They offered sample teas the whole time and the dining options were a perfect mix of savory, sweet, and creamy. Often afternoon teas have too much of one or the other so this was perfect.
It was VERY crowded and the noise level brought the rating down for us. On the positive side, it was very unique and the tea selection was wonderful.
Always a Pleasure to go Queen Mary Tea Room when we visit Seattle. Cozy atmosphere, good food, great tea selections and just a wonderful relaxing break.
We went to celebrate a friends birthday. It was perfect for a girls day. So many different teas for you to choose from. The staff were sweet and very attentive, plus they asked us if we had any dietary restrictions. While we were waiting for our food they passed put tea samples. It was nice to try different teas I would not have normally ordered. The food was incredible. We did the afternoon tea. So many tasty little bites. We all were stuffed by the end. I will definitely be back.
This was my first time ever having afternoon tea, and I loved it! I can’t wait to go back. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was quaint! The staff was friendly! Highly recommend!
it was great I have been there many times. this was the first for my granddaughter. will take more people with e at various times
What a cute place! The restaurant was full of families and friends seemingly celebrating special occasions, and the service and atmosphere were perfect for my 6-year-old to enjoy her birthday. Would definitely return for a future occasion!
Although the Queen Mary Tea Room has slightly high prices, they really deliver everything that you would want from an English Tea Room. The food is amazing with a little bit of a Seattle flair, and the tea is absolutely phenomenal. It makes for a wonderful special occasion place or just a brunch out with friends.
Very disappointed. I brought all 4 of my daughters in for tea. The server took a long time to come when we need her and wasn’t very nice. She asked whether everything was ok with the food and when I said no, the sandwich wasn’t good, she said nothing and walked away. It wasn’t busy at all. There’s only 2 other table and there’s another server. I didn’t feel it was worth the money considering we spent $170.
Such a special place to take my granddaughter for her birthday. They always treat her so special and she loves wearing a pretty dress and a tiara, of course. Food is always fabulous and very tasty.
Have been at least 40 times- but the last few haven’t had attentive servers- ask if there are any first timers in the group and walk them through the high tea tray. Spending almost $300 for high tea- and knowing how good service can be- I expected a bit more
Sweet atmosphere, lovely devour with food to suit a queen. The tea was delightful, sandwiches, moist and tasteful, fruit, fresh and perfect. The sweets were truly delicious! I had the left overs for breakfast and the lovely memory of tea with my awesome family.
