Queen Mary Tea Room
Great afternoon tea. Good value for the price. Go out and support small businesses.
This is a lovely place to have lunch, brunch or high tea if you are not in the mood for a lot of dessert, you can have a nice savory lunch and still order a full pot of tea, per person. No one will rush you out. Seasonal decorations are over the top and fun the look at.
Excellent food and tea. The room itself is beautiful, as is the presentation of everything
Charming tea room style. Food is so fresh and delicious! They bring tea samples around several times. Great celebration place for a birthday!
My granddaughters (ages 8 and 6) were thrilled to have high tea with Nana! Nana was delighted as well. Lovely ambiance! Loved the table setting and the wait staff we wonderful! Thank you for a memorable afternoon.
Sweet little place! Took 2 6 year olds and the staff was so patient and kind. The girls had a wonderful experience
Great for birthdays!
If you would like to spend a laid back afternoon tea, Queen Mary is the place. The food is substantial. The only item that was difficult to discern was the chicken salad. It tasted like tuna. The scone, quiches, etc were excellent, as were the other items.
This was m,y second visit and my family and friends enjoyed ourselves.
Truly a step into another world. Peaceful. Calm. Delicious.
I had a wonder afternoon tea with my mom.
I took my grandkids for tea and they loved it. One of the teapots had a chip at the spot.
Also previously I had called about another issue twice and though I was promised a return call, it didn’t happen.
Very cute, but a bit small. Privacy would be difficult if the place was busy.
It's always perfect in every way. My favorite place to treat friends for their birthday.
Great afternoon tea with many tea options. Traditional tea service, but also features full menu. Cozy atmosphere but not much wiggle room. It would be tough if you had a baby due to lack of room to accommodate car seat, etc. You can
hear just about everyone's conversations but if you are good at filtering, you won't have a problem! Super fun to try and return to.
Our family has been coming to Queen Marys for years. It is a very special place. Excellent food and fabulous array of teas.
Noticed Christmas holiday decorations still up in restaurant. I was surprised.
It was a charming place to have afternoon tea!
This place was quaint, and had good service… But it was a little disconcerting to hear some swearwords coming from the kitchen, in such a small family oriented environment. I was disappointed that they did not have clotted cream, which is a must for any high tea restaurant.
I took my wife there for her birthday because she is into this stuff. Well, she loved it! She was so excited to get there and afterwards she said it was even better than what she had hoped for. So it has to be pretty great because really loves and knows this stuff!
I loved the whole experience, and I would recommend it. It's a bit too pricey to do very often.
My daughter and I enjoyed afternoon tea. One thing I was disappointed about is they don’t have clotted cream.
We had afternoon tea with all the trimmings and it was yummy. The tea selection is 4 pages long and they do serve a proper pot of tea. The afternoon tea menu is quite amazing. Lots of tasty, sugary fingerfoods along with very English tea sandwiches. We were especially grateful for the Gluten Free menu! The service was excellent and the ambiance was delightful. It's a special, celebratory moment. Enjoy it with your Downton Abbey friends or with a few little girls in princess dresses and tiaras.
the concept is good, the food and presentation is very good, but the place is very, very small and super busy, we got there at our time of reservation and we were ignored for about 15 mins, I understand that it was very busy but at least acknowledge people that is waiting, after we got seated we didn't get any service for at least 10 mins, not even water .
The place is super small that makes you feel that you are eating in a share table, I was able to hear everyone's else conversations
I also think is overpriced,
I've been here before and did have a higher expectation than the experience we had this visit. It was very crammed together & noisy. The food was fine with no real complaints. However, I believe that any of us who are going to pay extra for lemon curd, would want it to be lemony & tart. This was a nice curd but far less tart than I'd like & I'd even have to say bland.
I’ve been there twice so far and it’s pretty good. I think the saving grace is the huge selection of teas available plus the service and enthusiasm of the waitstaff. Honestly the food is nothing special, but will fill you up. I was comparing this with tea service in Canada and obviously it’s way better when the Brits do it!
Very fun, great food and experience. Could use more room with bigger tables.
Can't wait to go again
The service was incredible and the food was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Queen Mary Tea Room and I can't wait to go back!
best Valentines tea party. We had a great time and would recommend for a aromatic getaway.
Average quality of food.
Queen Mary’s is always a great place to celebrate, enjoy time with friends with food and in an atmosphere that promotes connection and conversation.
This is a special place for us and we cherish each time we can come for afternoon tea
Impeccable in every way <3
I was so excited to go to the Queen Mary Teahouse! First of all, it was February 7th, and they still had their Christmas decorations up and were also playing Christmas music! Six of the people there for tea, were very disappointed as I was! It really ruined the ambience of the place! We were served soup, but the size of it was about the same amount of a shot glass! We all thought it was very chincy. The Tea was good! It was a little over priced for what you got.
This is a tiny, but charming tea room with outstanding tea goodies! We had the tea tower and everything on it was delicious. My only complaints were that the space is very tight and it was difficult for my elderly mother to sit down and, the bank seat along the wall where we sat was covered in crumbs and even a bread crust. I had to brush it off before I let my mom sit down. Also, we were near the window and it was cold.
Afternoon tea service is wonderful, the sorbet trio with shortbread cookie served first is delightful and refreshing, there was a 1/2 English muffin which could have been whole or just omitted, the remainder of the sweet and savory treats were very good! The staff are so friendly and helpful they make the whole experience so worth it! Definitely will go back again!
The lunch food was a mixed experience. The soup and salad were delicious. The Cornish pastry was cold inside the pastry. I was served a piece of cake that tasted like it had been in the pastry case for a month. The frosting was hard and falling off in pieces Simply inedible. Our server to over 30 minutes to come and clear our plates before asking if we wanted dessert. It was so noisy I had to read my friends lips to know what she was saying.
This used to be a great place to gather with friends. I have no plans to ever return, after today.
We went for my daughters 6th birthday and she had the most amazing time. We loved the tea, so many options, and everything around us was beautiful.
Our party of four had the best time for afternoon high tea. My niece encouraged us to wear hats and gloves which was super fun. The atmosphere and food was beautiful and our server was attentive and personable. We all added a Markle Sparkle cocktail-simply delicious. I’ve been to the Fairmont for high tea twice but now prefer Queen Mary’s Tea House.
Terrific service! The Queen Mary and the emporium never disappoint!
