   I took my lovely bride, Rhianna, to Primo for her birthday and it was amazing as always. The food, service and atmosphere made for a wonderful evening. Our 10 year old son joined us and he loves the spaghetti and meatballs. He claims that they are the best in the world! The only slight negative was that the bar was very busy and they only had one bar tender working. For a Friday night before the Memorial Day holiday, you would expect better planning. However, the bar tender did a wonderful job trying to keep up and even joked that he would welcome my help behind the bar if management would have allowed it. Overall, still gave our evening the highest marks.

   We had reservations, came over a little early, had to wait probably about 5 minutes before being seated. The restaurant was not full. We're seated right across from the pizza oven, next to passage way, doors to service areas, etc. Other tables were clearly available. Service was... reluctant, borderline passive aggressive. BTW, 'bread service' price is per person. Each person gets 3 pieces of bread. Not warm. Served with olive oil and balsamic. No salt, pepper or herbs. Brought to the table with a spoon. Had octopus for appetizer. Tough, with minimal garnishes, served on a small plate. My husband's and son's food came first, had to wait for additional 5-10 minutes for my entree to arrive. I had flounder which was cooked well, no complaints here, you will need a side item with this as it's rather small. My husband's lamb shank was tough, rather small, salty. No complaints about my son's pizza. Thin crust. Canoli with grainy filling and tough shells. Gelato for my son was mediocre and at $15 clearly not worth it. Sluggish water service. Disappointed overall.

   We were very disappointed with our food. Lacked flavour. The meatballs were good. Salad was blah, pasta no flavour. Pizza crust was good but didn’t wow us. Dessert wasn’t anything special either. Would definitely not recommend this place We had a gift certificate and didn’t use it all and gave the rest to the waiter which was about 40% tip as we couldn’t use the rest and he didn’t even say thank you.

   Meh. The food used to be so much better. The meatballs were tough. $4 per person for a bread basket they don’t even refill. Unsalted Olive oil and vinegar dip for the bread. Over garlicky mashed potatoes. Indifferent Marsala sauce on tough pork cutlets. Honestly this place is sad. Corporate Marriott restaurants have better food. This was very sad. The JW deserves better food in all aspects.

   Primo is one of our favorite restaurants at the JW Marriott and we always have a delicious meal there. The staff is super attentive and lots of creative menu items to choose from. If you like Italian food, this is a great spot to check out :)

    We both enjoyed our dinners, however the menu is not expansive. Would have liked to have seen more choices. Cocktails are expensive for their size.
