We went to Prime 47 for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. We have historically went to Prime 47 throughout the years for special occasions. I made a reservation through Open Table for 830pm requesting the Standard dining room (not the bar). When we arrived the hostess greeted us, wished us a happy anniversary and asked us where we would like to sit (in a mostly empty restaurant). My response was that she is the expert and wherever she thought was best for our special night. She then takes us into the loud bar and seats us there. My wife was ok with it and I didn’t want to make a scene. The service was great and so was the food. Just thinking though, not the place I would seat a couple celebrating such an occasion. The bar was very noisy, we had a table by the window which helped. However, Prime 47 is a very elegant steakhouse and I just imagined our 15 year anniversary dinner to be spent in a better setting representing the moment.

We are up here in the Carmel area twice a year for various sports with our children. We always visit. We always sit at the same table. And, we always have the same server, Hayley. The food, ambiance, flavors, are all on point, every single time. If you are considering a dining experience you won’t want to forget, this is your place.

Service was not what I would expect. Several times I had to wait on drink being filled by main waiter. Waiter did not acknowledge my birthday. Noise level was bad.

As always! We had a fabulous night. The musicians were wonderful! Bar staff was fun and attentive and food was spot on!!

Prime 47 was great again! We love running into friends every time we are there and Kassi and the rest of the staff treat us like family!

I'm not going to totally pooh the place. I've been to the one downtown and had a much better experience though it has been years since I tried it. The staff just did not seem to be on it. We started with a few drinks at the bar before getting a table. Then we had to wait about 10 minutes before we asked a bus boy to find our waiter. The steaks were okay, but just ok. The best part of the dinner were the sides and desserts. Nobody said "this is a great steak!" I got the $80 Arbuckle filet and it was... okay. Not worth the extra money and because they sat us upstairs, there was no presentation which I guess is what the extra money is about. The Baily's creme rules was to die for. By far the hit of the evening for me. I'm not say the place is horrible at all. Just much better options for the money near by, in my opinion. I'm sure there are many that find this place top notch and to each their own.

Our food was very mediocre. Three of us ordered wedge salad with steak or salmon. The steak and salmon were delicious but the salad was pathetic. The Iceberg lettuce was chopped up instead of in a wedge, and I believe the reason for that was because it was old. Although the wedges were supposed to come with tomatoes, bacon and blue cheese, we each had about a teaspoon of each of those ingredients. The ambience is nice, and the singer was wonderful, but the food has gone downhill at Prime 47. For the price you pay for food and wine, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless going for drinks and entertainment.
