Delicious Sunday menu... the holllandaise was superb.
Loved everything about this restaurant...ambience, excellent food, great service....we felt very welcomed!
Guests felt special!
Very romantic for a date night. Service was spectacular, the staff went out of their way to make our experience special. Food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. Loved the ambience of the old home.
Absolutely wonderful just go you won't regret it. The food was perfection and the service was great as well.
Preserved always delivers the best overall dining experience in St. Augustine. We are regulars :)
good food, great waiter, no rush, ambiance favorable for great evening out
Our first visit. Very attractive old home turned restaurant. Easy parking, nice comfortable feel. Only beer and wine. Great welcome, a lot of attention until food served, then less than adequate follow up. Food was good, portions adequate, all in all a nice experience.
Great restaurant! Food, service, wine, ambiance all top notch! Justin, our server, was awesome!
Not inexpensive but worth every penny. Superb service and delicious from app to dessert. Serving was sufficient and the atmosphere is just lovely.
Just a lovely Sunday brunch.
Brunch was our first visit to Preserved. We will certainly be back for dinner. One disappointment-the wines are so expensive by the glass.
Perfection, every time! Have eaten here on multiple occasions and it has been consistently excellent!
Prices for both wine and food extremely reasonable. The four of us totally enjoyed the meal quality and presentation will definitely tell others and look forward to our next visit👍
Wonderful service, and great food. A must for St. Augustine.
Requested seating inside. After being seated for a bit, a couple continued (both of them) speaking very disruptive on their cell phone. Server said they had been on phone entire time and had ordered a lot of food not yet served.....
Would not ask them to silence their phone....so asked for table outside. Shortly the man came outside and walked around continuously speaking on phone! I really felt they should have politely asked them to silence phones and not to use while dinning. I blame the management for not stepping up.
The food was delicious and the prices were fair. On site parking was fantastic for the area.
I made a reservation on Open Table, was asked on the web site if we wanted to eat inside or on the porch. I answered, inside. Went we arrived we were told that there was no availability inside until 9:00PM. Our choice, outside or leave. We decided to stay and had a nice dinning experience, would not recommend using Open table for your restaurant reservation. CALL if you want to dine inside.
Great evening with friends celebrating my husband's birthday. Service was amazing and everyone enjoyed their appetizers and entrees. The banana bread desert was one of the best we have ever had.
This was our first trip to Preserved. My parents went and said it was very good so we decided to give it a try. We are big fans of another downtown St. Augustine upscale dining restaurant, but this was just as good and we will definitely be back. I had the mussels and my wife had the heirloom tomato salad for appetizer. I had the duck breast and my wife had the short rib for entree. We had the creme brûlée and banana bread pudding for dessert. We also had a great Pinot Noir from Oregon. Everything was outstanding and I am hard to please. The server was very good and she was very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a great restaurant for a special occasion this is a great option. It isn't cheap but it is worth it.
We had oysters app with scallops and pork chop entrees, a great bottle of cab that the server recommended and banana bread pudding. The food was wonderful, the front porch was perfect (plenty cool) and the service (our server was Nicole) was incredible. It was our first time and we will definitely be going back!
Beautifully restored older home, excellent food, and superb service.
Good for special occasions
Lovely southern ambience. We are seated on the balcony listening to lovely music (Sinatra etc) and watching the world go by.
Our waitress, though new, had a good understanding of the menu and engaged with us for a chat about it and lots of other subjects.
The food was French style and rich, but not over seasoned.
All in all our meal here helped make our visit to St Augustine a highlight of our tour.
But beware: we forgot to put on insect repellent and have subsequently suffered. A notable precaution.
The waitress was particularly impressive, very professional, courteous, helpful. It was such a great experience.
Came for brunch with my wife and a close friend. From the minute we arrived the service was amazing! The food was exactly what we had heard....absolutely delicious!
We will definitely be back! What a great place!
Quaint restaurant in a beautifully restored bed and breakfast. Waitress was able to describe menu items and specials with precise detail. Scallops and the steak were very good.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at Preserved. It's located in a quiet neighborhood with seating both indoors and outside. We didn't mind our outdoor table (and meeting the local neighborhood celebrity cat), but could have used a little more lighting once the sun set. Our server was extremely knowledgable about the menu, specials, and wine list. Note that Preserved only serves beer and wine, so those looking for full bar options or craft cocktails should visit one of the nearby bars before or after. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the St. Augustine area!
Food and service very good. Went for my bestie’s birthday and enjoyed it very much!
We made a reservation for 5:45, the only time available. When we arrived, the restaurant and covered front porch was largely empty. Yet, we were told we would be sat on their uncovered patio. We were assured there was shades and fans. To clarify, there was one fan pointed at an existing table. It was over 90 and sunny. They sat us in full sun. We asked if we could sit on the covered porch with fans and they said no. They moved our table into partial shade. It was really too hot for fine dining outside. If you make a reservation here in warm months you should confirm seating location.
The wine list was extensive. I ordered an Albarino. It was warm in 5 minutes and I did not drink it. Food was average. By that I mean it tasted like good home cooked food. There was nothing amazing with what we ate. My husband had the cassoulet, which was good. Being from Europe, it's one of his favorite dishes and he was underwhelmed. I had the short rib. It tasted like a bland pot roast. There was no flavor. Don't really see how this place was nominated for the James beard award. Maybe it was an off night.
When we left, the front porch was still empty. So they sat is in an uncomfortable spot for no good reason. We would not go back
After waiting nearly an hour for our entrees, we decided to leave. We asked to pay for our drinks and appetizer that we received and the manager took care of them and was very nice. The hostess had a nasty attitude when we left. We will not be back nor recommend to anyone.
The food was very limited in scope was a little too salty and garlic dependent. The spinach we had had the bacon large Don’s in it and it was very salty and they were way too many of those bacon chunks. It was like they were over reliant on the bacon Which was coupled with a bacon vinaigrette, and I know how it must sound; too much bacon? But yes it was too much bacon and it was too much relying on salt
Great location embedded in Historical setting - food was delectable! We sat on the porch of this great house for a lovely dinner experience
If weather is good sit outside
It was my wife's Birthday and we love this place!
It was our anniversary. We sat on the porch. It was very romantic
Apart from slightly dicey walk to hotel from downtown, thoroughly a pleasant experience
We went for our anniversary and couldn’t have been more pleased - we will definitely be back and we’ll worth the drive from Jacksonville. The old house is charming and the interior decor inviting. They also have al fresco dining which will be great once the summer heat has passed. We enjoyed 2 bottles of a very nice williamette valley Pinot from a small bottle winery. Our roasted oysters and escargot appetizers scrumptious. My triple tail fish entree absolutely fabulous. My husbands braised short ribs very good - just not as unusual. They gave us a complementary Creme brulee - also good. Was dying to try the bananna bread pudding but just couldn’t fit anything else. Our waiter and the other staff attentive and helpful without being intrusive. You can enjoy a conversation easily without listening to adjacent tables. The music selection also very enjoyable,
Outstanding food with a great selection. Atmosphere was relaxing and the service first class.
