Prasino - St. Charles, MO Ratings and Reviews
Read alot of good reviews so decided to give it a try on a Thursday evening. I was not at all impressed by the restaurant. The atmosphere reminded me of a cafeteria. Our steaks were over cooked and over priced. Overall I would many other eating establishments in the area before this one.
Our reservation time booked with open table did nothing for us. Walked in at our reservation time and we were handed a buzzer. We waited 20 mixture after being told they just needed to clean off a few tables. Finally we asked a manager to check our name and he sat us within minutes. Clearly their system was not working efficiently. After being sat we waited 7 minutes for anyone to even come say hi and give us water. Let alone take a drink order. Service was slow and impersonal. Food was good, not sure I’d quite say “worth it” though.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the St. Louis area. Wish we had one in Creve Coeur.
I had a roasted squash salad with blue cheese, lettuce and pumpernickel croutons. Service was excellent and the server was knowledgeable about the foods. My friend had mussels and likes them so much she gets them evertime we go there. I always find something new to try and have always enjoyed going to Prasino.
Love their shrimp tacos! Spicy and refreshing! The short rib tacos were also a good choice! Their sushi rolls are surprisingly delicious with good ingredients, unlike other Americanized sushi rolls were cheap with avocado stuffing. We always make it a meal with all the starters and sushi rolls before getting into the entree section. Definitely will try some entrees next time!
Busy and noisy on Saturday night but food was excellent! Glad we had a reservation! Seafood is excellent as was beet salad which was large enough for us to split as a healthy appetizer. Main menu plus specials were available plus a large wine listing. Alcohol is expensive.
We've dined at Prasino many times and the experience has always been great. This time was very good, but there were a few problems. The other couple we dined with split a salad, which was huge!!! A few minutes after being served, the wait staff came out with another salad--the split size. My husband ordered a burger-medium, and soup. He asked if the soup could be served along with the salads. The soup came with the burger, which was served well done. The other gentleman in our party and I both ordered the papardelle, his with extra chicken. I got the extra chicken. The other lady in our party ordered a steak medium and received it rare. She asked to have it refired and it was returned to her still rare. Despite it all we still had a very enjoyable evening, but not quite up to the standards that we have been used to.
first time to Prasino and will be back again. Went on a Wednesday early evening and it was already fairly busy. The bar area was nearly full already with business people and couples. Service was excellent. We were just there for drinks and appetizer but the menu looked great.
We were very excited to try Prasino's creative menu; however, while the food and waitstaff itself was quite good, the value was so poor that we will not be back. What do I mean by poor value? We started by ordering an appetizer, which was an avocado with crab and salsa, but had to order pita bread separately to have something to put it on. There was no bread on the table. I refrained from ordering a glass of wine due to the high prices, although my husband did order a beer. He was quite frustrated, however, to have his beer delivered in a tiny glass that clearly didn't deliver the full beer. For our entree we ordered the salmon to share. This is very typical in the way we order dinner and we've never been disappointed or gone away hungry. The salmon arrived as visually tiny portions on a large plate. No sides. While it was quite delicious, for the price it was ridiculous. On my OpenTable reservation I had also indicated under Special occasions that this was a Birthday celebration. No mention of my birthday was made, no special treatment of any kind. We left only partially satisfied and wholly disappointed in what we got for our money.
I was out with my husband and decided to stop in for breakfast. The lobster omelette is always superb and they make THE BEAT pancakes I have ever eaten; just the right size and consistency with crispy edges!! I was in my happy space!! The atmosphere is vibrant and upbeat and the service is impeccable!
My sisters and I took our mother here for her birthday. Prasino's had flowers and a beautiful card waiting for her. The service was top notch and the menu was so wonderful we couldn't decide what to eat. We each got something different and shared. The truffled potatoes were devine. I will be returning and have recommended this restaurant to many of my friends.
Food was average and the service was terrible. We were a party of five and they just plain forgot to make one of the entrees. Server was not knowledgeable about the menu. Great ambiance but terrible service and the food lacked depth of flavor for the prices they charge.
I absolutely love Prasino. The food is amazing EVERY TIME. They have great service and the prices are fantastic considering the excellence quality of their ingredients. When I have friends and business associates come into town, 9/10 times I'm taking them to Prasino!
Very much enjoyed my dinner with friends. The servers were fantastic! They greatly elevated our meal experience. Beautiful atmosphere. A tad noisy in front room, but noise dimished in the back room where we were seated. Food was good. Two of my friends were very complimentary of the loster ravioli and the sea bass. A tad pricey, but would definetly recommend and would go again.
Attractive restaurant. They had a nice wine selection. The food was o.k. i ordered the chicken with pappardelle. I was expecting tender homemade noodles. Not so much. They were o.k., but not great. The chicken confit was super salty, even for confit. Veggies were very good. Sit bother with the ooey gooey butter cake for dessert. It was dry.
