Food lacked flavor all around, and when food lacks flavor, it needs salt, no salt and pepper were on the table, which is a little presumptuous if you ask me. Service was strange. Had to request multiple things, multiple times. Water bottles weren't refilled as necessary. One guest in our party ordered coffee. It was never offered to be refilled. I work in the service industry and its a rule, that you aren't done servicing a table until the guests are gone. We stayed and chatted a bit and never once were offered more coffee or water. However, the server did keep my 15 year old niece's coke's coming to the table during dinner service.
BATHROOM WAS NOT CLEAN EVEN WITH AN EMPLOYEE IN THERE, HAD TO POINT OUT THE BATHROOM STALL WAS MESSY AND NO TOILET PAPER. THE WAITRESS WAS MORE CONCERNED WITH HAVING MY BOYFRIEND'S DRINKS REFILLED WHILE NEGLECTING MINE. I CAN ONLY ASSUME SHE THOUGHT HE WAS PAYING THE BILL, SURPRISE WAS ON HER WHEN I PAID THE BILL. IT WAS COLD AND DRAFTY IN THERE, MOVED TABLES AND IT STILL WASN'T BETTER. OVERALL I WAS DISAPPOINTED CONSIDERING PRASINO CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
FOOD WAS AVERAGE.
Prasino is usually always a good choice. Food is good and service is generally always above average. It’s loud... so don’t go looking for a quiet intimate evening. But, you can show up in anything from suit to shirts and feel comfortable. Good wine selection and mixed drinks, but draft beer selection only so-so.
I’ve always had a good experience at Prasinos but Friday was the exception. I ordered the halibut, which was described as having a light mix of greens, asparagus and goat cheese on top, and when the dish came there was a hot mess of old, soggy greens and runny cheese under the fish. The fish itself was overdone and a much smaller cut for the $30 it cost. The staff brought out soup without a soup spoon and we had to wait a couple minutes before we could snag a server for one. Same thing with dessert - it was dropped off without silverware. Overall it was a below average experience and makes me hesitate to try it again.
Friends from California
Service was excellent. Special request regarding food was granted and given more than expected. The baked 1/2 chicken was fantastic.
The restaurant was fine. The area was very crowded on a Sunday afternoon and parking was a challenge.
The food is excellent. The ceilings are high and therefore the noise level from nearby tables makes it difficult to talk to those at yours. Will not meet there again at peak times to visit.
I always love going to Prasino; my favorite place in St. Charles. They have great vegan options for brunch which is very appreciated. We were running late for our reservation and very pleased that the staff was willing to work with us when we called to let them know. The atmosphere is great, trendy but still casual.
I strongly suggest getting functional by the tables along the window (which is a large percentage of available seating). This has been a consistent issue for brunch. The windows and sunlight look nice, but it is unpleasant to sit in direct sun, it's very warm and sunglasses are a must depending on which direction you are facing.
We had a party of 16 and had the BEST waiter. The food was very good. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
This was our second d time. We took friends this time to celebrate birthdays. Everything was great. Only thing I would say is specify your choice of wine. My husband clearly asked for their house Cabernet. When the bill came I queried the $23 glass of wine. And said we asked for house wine and why so expensive. Not much of a response from the waiter. We paid and left. Nothing taken off the bill. I’d definately go back but be very clear on the wine
Love this place, but they are taking way too long to finish their patio - it was supposed to be done by Mother's Day 2018! Weather has been great lately and we want an outdoor option. Also, some spots in the bar are unseatable with the cold air vents pouring out on you - management has to get this fixed.
Food and service OK. Noise level was painful! We will not return!!!
My wife is dairy free and gluten intolerant. She was very impressed with the staff and their accomodations.
This was the fourth time there, and it has been fantastic every time. The food always comes out picture perfect and taste even better. It is a great place to take a fancy date. The service is always top knotch and I have recommended it several times and will be back again.
AWESOME! We have never been disappointed. A great place to start your day and have a great breakfast.
Sadly, I Chose the Ribeye steak for dinner. Should have been more adventuresome, as that is why I love Prasino's Restaurant. But, for some reason I thought the ribeye steak would be tender. Very wrong. Very dry and tough. It was ordered medium well, and came out quite dry and overdone, as well as so tough that I had to send it back. So sad. Should have ordered the salmon.
My wife and I had a great date night and the latin/asian fusion was fun.
We dined out for our anniversary and loved the food. The salmon was excellent and the seafood stew was amazing. Portions were not what I expected for the price but the service was excellent and we will go back again.
We went there to celebrate my daughter’s 16th Birthday as it is one of her favorite places to have brunch. As usual, we were not disappointed.. the lobster truffle omelette was to die for!
We had a great night. Eric was our server and he on excellent. Food was excellent, wine excellent.
Only constructive criticism would be to soft lights a bit
Will definitely be back
Food was very good. Server was not. Dining room was way too noisy so had to eat in the bar.
Always a great place to enjoy with friends or on a date. Great food in a great atmosphere.
This was a perfect location for three of us to have a casual business meeting...
Had a great meal, the server was training another server, so hopefully he was always as helpful. Helped us pick wine and my friend choose something that fit her health needs. He checked with us but seemed to understand that we hadn't seen each other for quite a while and were catching up on things. We sat there from 5:30 until 9:00 p.m. and no one tried to rush us. Very pleased with the service and the meal.
Ordered a dish from the menu and was told by our waiter that the price was actually higher than what was listed on the menu. After some back and forth with the waiter, the manager came over to our table and told us that the price of the item had increased. When we asked why none of the menus reflected the new price--the waiter informed us that he was unable to "just print up new menus" . We informed him that the fair way to treat customers is to charge the price on the menu until new ones were printed up. After another back and forth discussion, the manager reluctantly agreed to charge the price that was listed on the menu. The way in which the manager chose to handle this ruined our dining experience.
Chicken sandwich was cold. The hot seasonal vegetables were inedible. Ice tea was good.
I have been to Prasino twice now and they were excellent both times. The dishes are imaginative and perfectly prepared. The short rib skillet is amazing and the coconut bread French toast is a treat. The only possible down sides are the noise level (they do a very good business) and the parking is bad (not their fault). I have recommended Prasino to my friends and am looking forward to my next visit.
Everything was great except for our server. The food came quickly, but our server was unfriendly.
I love the place and the food, but when it gets busy, it is louder than I like. Make me sound old, but it is pretty loud!
Great place for a date night! The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Hanger Steak meal and my BF had the Rib Eye steak. Both of us were very impressed with the style and architecture of the restaurant as well. All in all it was a perfect night! Thanks!
Short sushi menu, must try as it is delicious! Nice menu, something for all.
A great place to visit with friends over a delicious meal and a great bottle of wine. Staff was very attentive but not hounding! If you are in this area, you need to check Prasino out!
Since my first visit I have never been disappointed with anything. Cannot say that about many restaurants.....
This place is great. Great food and atmosphere. Never had a bad meal. Price is good too.
Prasino’s is my favorite place to dine. The decor and the service is the best. The menu could have some changes to it but everything is delicious.
The food is always fresh tasting and delicious. The wait staff is curtious, and efficient.
Nice find. Lots of local beers and other locally sourced items. Excellent food.
Went with business partners; good food and very good service. Great tuna and spicy buffalo shrimp appetizers. Fish (halibut) entree was very good / unique.
Service was great as well as the food. Will definitely be going back.
