Poseidon-Hilton Head Island
From our outside NautiBar, the inside “The World is Your Oyster” Bar, covered patio dining on our Front Porch, the Rooftop Bar with live entertainment, Coastal Provisions retail, and the adjacent waterfront Town Park, there is so much to see, you will want to come back again and again. Poseidon brings together a true, unique, Coastal Hospitality® and dining experience that we hope will create wonderful memories that will last a lifetime and be remembered for generations to come. Enjoy!
Large selection of fish with many choices for preparation. All meals were nicely plated and delicious. Crab cakes were exceptional. Crème brule a must.
We have been more and more disappointed with this venue. We use to love it but we found the food either greasy or undercooked. Tonight was bad I couldn’t eat mine. Scallops was not done. Even with the buy one get one half with tip a 90.00 tab. We like their breakfast we will go back for that but we are done with dinners with this Restrurant I’m not sure what has changed but the quality of food is not only good but over priced for what you get.
Really good food and service. The amount of seafood for the price was a little skimpy compared to other seafood restaurants.
Very disappointed in our experience at Poseidon. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and neither had much flavor. Seems overrated. The service was good.
This is a GREAT spot for Sunday Brunch especially now that the "tourist" season is behind us for a few months. Great food, great view and great service.
Reserved outside seating. Was chilly so they said if we waited 20 minutes we could be seated inside. Over an hour later we were seated!! Ugh!! The manager was very nice but we were very misinformed.
We enjoyed our meal at Poseidon. The food was delicious and our server was attentive and super nice. We'll go again.
The food was excellent, party of four, had oysters, crab cakes, prime rib and a seafood pasta dish. We had the local oysters on the half shell (Single Lady) and they were fresh and very tasty with mix-in horse radish cocktail sauce. The crab cakes had little or no cracker / breading, and were good size (2 for the dinner portion). Prime Rib was excellent, just slightly overcooked for medium-rare. Seafood pasta portion was huge - 2 meals for a big guy. We got there early and the place was full at 5:30pm, but we had reservations and were seated quickly. The wait staff were overworked so not much to say about the service, it was okay, and considering it's a holiday, and full, they did fine.
We had dinner at 5 pm or so. The restaurant offers a twilight dinner. The three members of family ordered the twilight dinner and one ordered the regular menu. We thought the twilight dinner was better because it comes with drink and soup. Enjoyed the dinner.
We had a fabulous waitress - Adree and a marvelous meal. She was very attentive while she managed numerous tables. Food was excellent. The pace of the service well timed. We will be back!
Barb was an excellent server!
Fun and scenic setting. Great food from a tempting menu and good and personable service.
We come here a few times a year. During our last visit I felt like we were getting railroaded by our waitress in ordering the most expensive wine (we asked for a recommendation and of course, she suggested the most expensive per glass one). Then we started ordering bottles of wine....we ordered two. And low and behold, she "accidently" charged us $5 more per bottle....which we did bring to her attention. Other than that, it was good.
Fantastic flounder and the waitress was perfect!will recommend to all- nicely done!
Excellent experience as usual. As locals we always enjoy our meals at Poseidon.
The food and service were very good!! Savannah was our waitress
Went there for Sunday brunch. Had the shepherds pie and it was delicious. Our server Adria was awesome. That’s why we go back again and again
Service was poor. The food was served ice cold. We asked for grits to be replaced and they were cold too.
The fish was very poor quality.
The service was great! The salmon was very good. The fried seafood dinner was mediocre. Nice selection of craft beer.
Nice restaurant. Packed on a Friday evening. Good food. Salmon was delicious. Mussels entre as an appetizer is the way to go. Endless rolls. Great atmosphere.
Mani wither undercooked or not a good piece of fish since we sent it back and couldn’t eat the second one.
Bread arrived at end of meal.
Disjointed. We were kind of in the way I think.
Food was very low quality
Felt very rushed out
Reservation was at 7pm was there ,restaurant called two time where I am... very rude
My wife and I have been there many times since they opened this time We went for Thanksgiving evening dinner not very crowded certainly somewhat understaffed service was just okay kitchen seemed slow however all the food was very good but there was a very limited holiday menu and it was $38 per person which seemed a bit pricey .....all in all okay
We enjoyed the Thanksgiving pre-fix menu and came back on Friday for seafood. Everyone enjoyed the meal. My son and his wife especially enjoyed the crispy sushi and were surprised by the size of the meal.
Great place for our Thanksgiving dinner. Attentive servers and staff
