The new brunch menu is a must try. It has something for everyone.
The food and service was great, just came out not as hot as it should!
Excellent staff and overall experience. Will definitely dine here again in the future.
Great food, great atmosphere. Good wine and bourbon selection.
They weren’t having the winter special which was false advertising on website due to valentines weekend. My wife got veal meatballs and the portions were small and overpriced for what you paid. I got salmon and it was the worst salmon I have every had. The salmon had no flavor or no taste. The waiter was fantastic but everything else was bad.
Continues to be one of our favorite places in Lexington!
It was a Tuesday night and frankly we thought the restaurant would be very quiet with only a few folks there. On the contrary, it was quite the busy place. We had a nice table for two with excellent service. We ordered different salads which were both delicious. My wife had the salmon entree and I had the scallops. Both were prepared beautifully and were excellent. Before the eating began, I enjoyed a generous martini and my wife had a glass of pino grigio. In summary, we had a delicious meal and a wonderful experience, and we look forward to returning soon.
Shared a meal with my partner. It was delicious. We will be back soon!
Awful service. Took 10 minutes for server to arrive. Said she’d be back with water. Didn’t bring it. Had to ask again. Ordered salads. She asked if we wanted fresh ground pepper, we said yes. She didn’t bring it. Had to ask again. Disappeared for long stretch of time after we placed entree order. Had to walk to the bar to get wine refilled. Took forever for entrees to arrive. Food was average. Wouldn’t recommend.
Portofino is a beautiful facility. The food quality is high and reliable. I had the sweet potato salad which was unique and tasty. Right now in January they have a fixed price menu of 3 course for $33. It was a great value.
As usual, the food was amazing. We asked to be seated next to the fireplace and they had no problem doing so. Our server was spot on and we will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service!
We had a fabulous table next to the fireplace. Our server, Bree, was professional and knowledgeable about the dishes. The service was 5 star. The food matched the service.
Great food. Lovely server.
Loved the quality and taste but thought the menu was limited. We would have liked a broader italian choice.
Delightful Christmas Eve dinner. Quail was outstanding. We rarely are impressed by restaurant food and look forward to next year. Staff was just lovely.
As usual the food was very good. Our server Sara however lacked attentiveness and overall general concern for our well-being. Once we expressed our displeasure to the bartender she and two other servers stepped in and things got much better.
The evening was lovely, the food excellent. I had the risotto special of the day, and we also had the pasta Bolognese. Both were delicious. The extensive wine list is impressive. Parking is convenient, and restaurant is within walking distance of major Sorenson hotels, and close to the Lyric Theater.
Great local downtown spot. Always full. Tuna is the best in town, bourbon selection is first class. Highly recommend this eatery.
We came in at 5:15 with a reservation and were seated quickly. However, we waited 10 to 15 minutes with no server appearing. We finally asked and not promptly she finally showed up. The food was ok but the cook seemed to have a heavy hand with garlic and spices in some dishes and then rather bland with some. It was just not for me so I would say make up your own mind if you do not mind the expense.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. Food was very good and they were able to make recommendations to a gluten-free diner with our table.
Loved Portofino's, fantastic service, and excellent atmosphere! Great for a date night, or family event.
We had an excellent dinner at Portofino in Lexington. We started with cups of the chowder and bean soup, with lobster ravioli for the main course. All the food was excellent. Our waiter, Cameron, was perfect. We highly recommend Portofino for a very nice dinner out while in Lexington.
Our food was delicious, especially the veal meatballs marsala! We will be back soon to get them again!
Best cioppino I’ve had since leaving the coast!!! Excellent martini, wine by the glass option; great dining experience and did not break the bank !
Everything was lovely! Such an intimate cozy atmosphere. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back.
Our server,Lauren, was AMAZING! We continue to come back for the excellent food and service. This time we were seated in front of the fireplace and it was so cozy and relaxing.
There were also two, very large, holiday parties being held there during our meal. You would never even know it.That being said, all the servers we spot on. None of them seemed rushed and each one was extremely polite.
Keep up the good work !
This is one of our favorite places...consistently good food and service. I don’t think you can ever go wrong by coming to Portofino’s!
Parking was convenient and abundant. Inside had comfortable seating and a quiet atmosphere.
The food came out quick and service was on point. Portions were appropriate and cooked correctly. My wife ordered the risotto which was quite flavorful and perfectly cooked, which can be difficult to accomplish. I ordered the swordfish, which was aggressively seasoned and delicious, but perhaps a tad undercooked for my liking.
However, one of our starters was over seasoned with garlic and arugula to the point that our pallet was tainted the rest of the evening. The menu is simple and has few choices but offers some basic variety.
Their wine / bourbon lists are comprehensive and should satisfy most. I didn't see a menu for specialty cocktails, but perhaps I missed it. This would have added to the experience.
Overall, for the cost, I do feel that more was expected but it was an enjoyable experience.
Excellent food, service and ambiance! We most appreciated the attention of our server. She was particularly helpful in answering questions about cocktails.
Never a bad meal! I had friends from NYC in town and they absolutely raved.
Rare dinner out with my husband. The cioppino was excellent. House wine was great and well-priced.
I must say this was a wonderful meal with incredible service. The atmosphere was great. The outside lights came on midway through dinner and made it even better (must go again in the summer and eat outside). I would highly recommend a romantic meal here or just a casual one.
Great bourbon selection and prices
Service poor, food ok nothing special, atmosphere nice
There was an extremely loud table of 8 patrons right next to us that was quite frankly out of line. Too much time at the track I suppose. Our server did not acknowledge us until after quite a few minutes. In her defense the loud group as mentioned before were taxing her time, however someone else could have come and welcomed us and got our drink order. The food quality and taste brought up the entire experience. The server ended up being very good after all but I had to go to the hostess first to say that we had not been talked to for about 7 minutes before all that changed. Our compliments to the chef!
We wish to praise our server Lauran who was very professional, efficient and personable. We are both in our early 70's and were celebrating our anniversary. She added so much to our celebration.
It’s hard to beat the wonderful ambience and the service couldn’t be any better. Our waiter anticipated all our needs without hovering or being a nuisance. Our food was wonderful. I had muscles and my wife had lobster Ravioli. Both were excellent. This is our second time back and won’t be our last. Always love a restaurant with cloth tablecloth and napkins!
Great restaurant. Consistently good.
We love Portofino’s. The good is always good and I love the little twists on tradition!
