Portland opened in 2015 and received a Michelin star the same year - which we have retained to this day. We try to offer the best contemporary example of fine dining in London – the finest produce we can find cooked with precision and a high level of technique led by our executive chef Stuart Andrew and head chef Chris Bassett and his team.

We offer a la carte and also a Tasting Menu at lunch and dinner.

Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our main wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. Our Single Bottle List contains bins of some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers.

Apart from the main restaurant, we hope that our private room and its offer of secluded and separate dining is just the thing for special family events or business meetings.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our restaurant we are offering a special tasting menu at £55. Leaning on classic dishes from our first decade this offers a chance to experience Portland at a very special price. A sample menu is below – please note some dishes are subject to change. The monthly changing menu is available for early evening dinner bookings made between 5:30-6:30pm

Confit hen’s egg, salt baked celeriac, burnt leek & cheddar cream
Green nettle agnolotti, smoked ricotta, wild garlic & bottarga
Shellfish ‘bouillabaisse’, saffron potatoes, apple & rouille
Highland beef tartare, beetroot crumpet, smoked eel & goat’s curd
White asparagus, quail eggs, morels & Exmoor caviar (£20 supplement)

A delicious meal with charming service. Hadn’t been for a while and was expensive, however it was very special. Only minor complaint, didn’t like the background music ( didn’t complain about it)

The food at Portland was delicious: amazing flavour combinations elevated traditional dishes. All the staff were professional and friendly.

Exceptional in every way These guys deliver on quality of ingredient, talent in the kitchen, knowledge front of house and hospitality by the bucket load. I’d struggle to recall a finer experience in the last few years.

This was our first visit to Portland Restaurant and it did not disappoint. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful, we ate from the lunch menu and there was plenty of choice. The food was inspired and exceptional with great attention to detail. All round a lovely lunch with very good wine. We will be back.

This is the second visit to the restaurant, we loved it so much we had to return 😊. One of the waiting staff remembered us from last time this embodies the restaurant, so friendly and welcoming. We loved the food and the wine pairings as before. We arrived earlier then last time but still the last to leave as we wanted to devour every ounce of the ambience with every taste. This restaurant is exceptional.
