The best gem on the east side
My husband wanted to go for his birthday. We have been several times before, service is always very good but I think the food is overpriced for what you get. Upcharge on fries! I had the short ribs which lacked flavor. My husband enjoyed his soup and steak.
I would not choose to visit again.
We go to Porters several times a year and are never disappointed. Great place for fine din8ng.
My steak was oveedone initially, but was quickly replaced with a fresh one done to my liking (rare). Our server, Maria, was delightful.
My ribeye was dry, and my twice baked potato was burnt.
As always, Porters didn’t disappoint! The service was amazing, and each course came out with a little break in between so that we could relax and enjoy the experience. Too many restaurants try to rush you out. We will definitely be back for another special night out!
The special requests I included with my Open Table reservation were not granted. I had request a new table, because we were being seated in a booth. We did not get our favorite server.
The food was very good. My son's steak was a bit overdone, but he said it was not dry and tasted very good anyway. Everything else was very good. The desserts were terrific. We were there to celebrate my youngest son's graduation and I felt it was a good choice. I have been there before and it is consistently very good.
Always a good dinner. Seemed like the staff were a little off their game on this night. Nothing major, just not the usual 5 star experience I usually have. I'll be back for sure. One of my favorite places to eat in the metro east.
The ladies who waited on us were perfect in all aspects of their profession. The food was good and the fries were as good or better than any I have ever had. It was a great Christmas lunch with customers.
We have made special tradition to go for Christmas get together once a year.
service was terrible waited 30 min for snails.
when served food was cold got there at 6:45 and finally served ay 8:30
I frequent this establishment often. Service was slow. I waited 50 minutes in between salad and main course. Waiter did not even wait to see if steak was cooked to order. Ordered Med. Rare received well done. Another 20 minute wait after everyone was done. Will wait a while before returning
waiter was very friendly and very helpful with menu items and wine selection and food was excellent
What a great place for a steak. I still dont understand why people wait over an hour to eat at those other "steak" places when you can almost always walk in and eat at Porters immediately.
Server Chris and Chef Megan were Awesome! The food, customer service and entire experience were great!
The only thing I was disappointed about was food just wasn't hot. My baked potato was warm to cool and so was my Prime Rib. I spent over $200.00 and just thought food at the price I paid would have been warmer.
Ariel was very attentive and always seemed to show up just as we needed anything. The food was great
and the Pepperlion was so tender that the steak knife was not needed. We are looking forward to our next visit.
An old tried and true favorite. F & B manager, John is always looking for new wines to add to their impressive list.
Service with Chris was outstanding as usual.
Very pleasant, warm, dining area. All waiters and waitresses have been most courteous, knowledgeable,
Great personalities, and welcoming. You can depend on the quality of anything you order. My favorite restaurant.
Awesome! My daughter and my Mom loved it! We had a most enjoyable experience!
Everything was great!!! Loved it!!
I have taken customers here twice and found them to have great service and great steaks. The high level was consistent between both visits which was great.
The cosmopolitan was excellent although pricey and Pinot noir was very good. The pepper-loin was so tender you could cut with a fork. We were able to share a very good salad without an extra charge.
The service was very good, just a little slow. No bread or crackers were offered until we ordered dinner.
All in all a pleasant experience.
From the breakfast to lunch to dinner everything at porters is absolutely amazing. Forever one of my favorite places with the best staff around!
Ive wanted to dine at Porters, but thought that it might be a little expensive for my wallet, but I am pleasantly surprised. I hope to dine here on special occaisions
Great birthday dinner or anniversary place! The Pepperloin is amazing, and the carrot cake is fantastic.
WE had a good time, restaurant was not well attended on a Fri night but we enjoyed just the same.
Food was good, service was great and we look forward to retuning again.
Porters Never disappoints! The food and service are top notch!
Chris is fantastic
We head to Porter's each anniversary (first date was there 28 years ago). We were treated royally, as the case has been almost every year. Our wait staff was knowledgeable and engaging.
Great food. The best Pepper Loin steak I've ever had. So tender and the sauce is addicting! Really good appetizers and a fantastic carrot cake! We went with a group of eight adults and Denise and her team did an amazing job serving us. Really made the evening fun!
Chris (waiter) was amazing. Remembered our names the following night when we returned. There on business trip. Great food, environment!
Food was not as good as usual
We always enjoy dining at Porter's, great food, the wine is best selection in metro area and the service is outstanding.
Food was unexceptionable. Person I was with said that years ago the restaurant served steaks that were melt-in-your-mouth but was obviously no longer the case. My $55 strip steak was chewy to the point where I had to spit pieces out. The ‘Jumbo’ crab cakes were super small but onion rings mutant large. Wish it’d been the other way around. Wedge salad at Applebee’s is soooo much better than Porter’s. The lobster Mac and Cheese, Brussels sprouts and Sweet Potato Casserole were decent. Absolutely great ambience and reasonable service can’t make up for high priced food that doesn’t meet the standard. Have been there twice ... wont be a third time.
Excellent opportunity to enjoy some fine dining at a great local restaurant. I always enjoy the pepper loin or just the blue cheese salad. Every course is great and they have an outstanding wine selection.
We hadn’t eaten here in a while . So glad we could enjoy their steaks again. It did not disappoint and our server , Denise, made the evening extra special.
Food and service was excellent and everyone enjoyed the dinner, though the music was a little loud
