    We usually dine in the bar area but opted for the main dining room on this visit. 3/4 people at our table got the Porter's Special--pepperloin, shrimp scampi, and whipped potatoes. The meal is $65 but is easily splitable. I was also impressed with the price of their sides. I added creamed spinach for $6 and that's very reasonable for a steak house. 2 of us did get a Caesar salad and it was incredibly disappointing--especially for $10. It was small, kind of warm, and just blah. I wouldn't get it again. 1 person did get the Porter's salad and that looked really good and was a decent size for the cost. Our table also got the carrot cake for dessert. For $16, it's massive and the 4 of us all had some and took home the rest. It's also always amazing!

    Three of our party had their special that evening their pepperloin and shrimp scampi. The 4th had their signature peperloin everything was wonderful! Ended the dinner with their fabulous carrot cake - always amazing!

    Porter's Steakhouse is one of the few nicer restaurants in the Metro East if you want to celebrate an "Occasion". We celebrated our anniversary there and the ambiance, service and food was all very nice.

    Porters has been our Go To restaurant for years when we visit the area. Unfortunately, last night was not good. The bright point was our server, Devin, he was awesome. That said much our meal was sub-par. There was 6 of us. Bill was $528- plus @120 tip. Wife n I split a wedge salad and the 10 oz pepperloin with carrots and add on baked potato. The wedge had no blue cheese crumbles and a few bacon bits. Ok not great. Instead of a 10 pepperloin we were served three fillet medallions with no cracked pepper. Not even close to the 2” thick steak we were expecting. And the baked potato was Luke warm. Of our guests only the scallops were rated very good. The restaurant was less than 1/2 full at 7 on a Friday. Perhaps the locals have discover what we did. The once great restaurant has slipped in its food quality but prices remain at 5 star levels. We most likely will not be returning on our visit in Thanksgiving

    Ipasting what I sent to the couple who had to cancled at last minute. fwd- * been wanti to go for 20 years but never do, so, finally here we are * the seating was really comfortable. the restraunt itself is very nice. not overly nice, suite n tie, but pleasant, acoustics are nice, no loud music. bar area is classy. as you said, hotel restraunts. *warm bread reeely good, onion brioche. with 3 flavoured butters, garlic, regular & bluecheese. it was really good for people who dont like bc, but we liked it. *passed on aptizrs. $ *Ceasar salad supposed to be anchovie based, tasted like breadco dressing. was unimpressed, meh * peperloins: no seasoning, no garlic tasteable, no butter. no pepper..they give you a thin mustard steakhouse kinda like a watered down carolina bbq sauce. the steak was good quality, mine was overcooked. hers was tad under, i think because of the unequal size cuts. vegi medley "the ole standard, lol" but she got aspergas. i upgraded to twice bake "a bpot they tossed mashed taters in a pot boat and a sprinkle of toppings, for an upcharge, lol" i also tried the bruslespouts, they were very undercooked and bairly seasoned. basically plain and meh. to give them flavor, i dumped the carolina sauce on them. they needed somthing, anything on them *then the price 150 for us. *passed on the wine. it appears a big list, but i think someone was upset, both he asked for was unavail *in a nutshell, one and done. i wouldnt advise anyone to go there to impress anyone. its not worth the comfy seats and 1000$ bottles of wine. *im glad the manager never made eye contact with me. i prob woulda offered him 3 places he needs to eat. *it would be a good place for a mixed drink and a social chat in the bar *( i do feel a bit Gordan Ramsey on this review, but. they need to know they need to step it up in this dog-eat-dog bizz. keep in mind, it was 5pm on saturday when we got there and that parking lot should have been full if it was worth the wait)

    The server was very nice. Steaks took an hour to get to our table, and my filet was undercooked. However, it was good once it came back. The size of the cowboy steak was misleading--really no bone and did not look like a 20 oz. steak. They did bring out a new steak and it was very good. A couple of other minor hiccups on our order, but it all worked out. Porters had such rave reviews so we were a little disappointed. I would give them another chance because it could have just been a bad day.

    Usually, everything at Porters is outstanding. This visit was mildly disappointing. Both of our steaks were slightly overcooked, and the ribeye wasn't as flavorful as it usually is. The service was great...Denise is the BEST!

    Steak was best ever. Tomato/cucumber salad with cheese not palatable. Twice baked potatoes were great. Brussel sprouts were so tough they were inedible. Appetizers were excellent, especially the shrimp cocktail. Service was exceptional and friendly. I would recommend Porter's if they order: fillet, medallions, pork chops, or rack of lamb.

    From the customer service, to the presentation, to the excellent food-Porter’s was excellent. Our server, Denise, was amazing and made sure everything was to our liking. She also made the best recommendations. The signature pepperloin was absolutely worth getting. Also, the Porter salad was fresh and a great blend of ingredients. The carrot cake stole the show! You can’t go wrong with Porter’s!

    The steaks we ordered were not cooked properly and were not cooked the same throughout. The sides we ordered also didn’t have much flavor to them. The service on the other hand was really good and had no complaints about it.

    The service was excellent, very friendly, very knowledgeable. The lobster bisque was very good a little watery, had a little sour taste with a little spicy aftertaste. Different but good. The ribeye was fantastic. Cooked exactly the way we like medium rate with sautéed mushrooms. Overall, great place. Also they have blue cheese butter for bread. Very good.

    Little over price for the quality. Service was excellent! We had the escargot and it was tough. Lobster bisque was ok. Caesar salad was very good. Brussels sprouts were excellent. Mac and cheese the kids loved.

    My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. He had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. I had the fillet and again it was cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. Our sides and salads were also awesome. Our waitress was very efficient, kind, and helpful. However, she did not try to interfere with our evening. They served us cheesecake to celebrate our anniversary! Great surprise.

    Decided to get the fillet Oscar asked the server how much crab meat was included she told me 4 to 5 ounces fillet is 35 fillet with crab meat was 65. I agreed took the meal and it barely had 1 ounce of crab meat. I mentioned it when I paid, but nothing was taken off so quite disappointed to pay $65 for a meal and pay an extra $30 just for 1 ounce of crab meat very disappointed.

    Chris as our server and he was, hands down, the best service any of us have ever had. He was attentive, personal, enthusiastic and so friendly and accommodating. We will go back just for Chris. The food was amazing as well, to include the drinks and wine. Great wine selection!

    The steaks were fantastic! The roasted Brussel sprouts were overdone but had great flavor. The cost of dinner was similar to other high end steak houses. The wait staff was attentive but not overly so.
