much too noisy, not easy to converse with dinner companions. disappointed in lobster mac & cheese, lobster tail on top was no more than a few ounces. basically a bowl of mac & cheese for $35. other diner had hamburger, decent but mushrooms on top were cold. Sorry but probably not worth going back

We met with family for dinner and we had a fantastic evening. All entrees were prepared perfectly (filet mignon and short ribs). Calamari Appetizer was the best. No room for dessert. The only disappointment was that they were out of Heineken NA, and there was no alternative. The regular drinks were good. Service was outstanding and friendly.

Porters on the Lane is a real gem of a restaurant in the heart of Bellport. If you’re headed to the Gateway Playhouse this is a great choice for a pre-theatre dinner. It’s quaint and cozy and the food is truly delicious. We had a nice table by the fireplace and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

It was a pleasure to be at Porter's on the Lane from the moment we entered the restaurant, until we left. The food was delicious, and brought to the table quickly, and hot! Our server was patient as we decided on our dinner choices. She was also attentive throughout our meal, replenishing our water, and asking if all was satisfactory. If all that wasn't enough to make our dining experience worthwhile, it also afforded us a time to catch up with each other, as we live in different states, have known each other since 1971 ! The last time we had seen each other was 2 years ago, and now we have another memory to add to our life long friendship. Thank you for everything!

Excellent food and service. However, despite reservations at 4:30 on a Thursday, still very noisy. Not as bad as a Saturday evening but I'd advise bringing pads & pencils if if you're over 50, as we definitely are, and want to communicate. However, I'd still recommend!

Great service and nice ambiance. We have eaten here several times but not in a few years. Once we got past appetizers, it went downhill. The entree quality was not good. Our entrees were overcooked in some cases, undercooked in other cases. Vegetables were undercooked and oddly prepared. Dessert coffee was the worst we have ever had anywhere. Not sure what happened to the food here, but we won’t be back.
