We had reservations for 9:45 PM. When we arrived there were no customers in the restaurant and the kitchen was closed. They were very nice and said they would accommodate us, but we did not want to be the sole customers so we left without dining. They shouldn't advertise that they are open late.
Easter Lunch. Un rushed Quiet Family time in downtown Walnut Creek.
It was a disappointing environment- more like a take out place rather than a place to dine.
The interior is very nice. Exterior looks like a diner. My wife almost didn't go in. I recommend the upgrade the signage. But nice interior and good food.
The food was so-so, the Gyros overspiced. Appetizers were OK, but nothing special. Waiter was nice but overwhelmed. For the money, there are better places with more authentic and favorful dishes.
The food is outstanding. Friendly staff. You Lovely place. My third time there and it just keeps getting better.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. The appetizer baba ghanou was unrecognizable. It was a plate of stringy, dark brown mush that didn’t taste even remotely like eggplant. Next we waited and waited, and then the server said, “sorry but your dinner will be 10-15 more minutes before it’s ready.” No explanations offered and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. When the food finally arrived about 1/2 hour after the bad baba was taken away, the salmon kebob was dry with a crunchy, under cooked rice pilaf. The other entree was lamb shank which was tender but flavorless. How a Mediterranean restaurant could completely fail to make correctly three classic dishes is a mystery. We didn’t order dessert and left after the dry and tasteless entrees. Such a disappointment as we love Mediterranean cuisine! We will not dine here again.
It has been years since I've had dinner here, and my group of 7 was so pleased to have this recommended. The waiter was very attentive and delightful. We all had different dishes and enjoyed sharing the flavors! Everyone is looking forward to dining her again!
The food was great. Lots of choices on the menu. They service was ok and fast specially during lunch rush hour. The prices are very reasonable.
We love Pom! Great for lunch! Great combos and their veggie sandwich is awesome!
Great Mediterranean food, friendly service, casual and fun atmosphere. My wife and I enjoy dining there.
I told the owner I had a reservation, he said, "no, we don't take reservations". I told him I booked via Open Table, he said, "oh, let me find you a table quickly", it took 30 minutes to be seated. While waiting a small group showed up. He asked them if they had a reservation and asked their name, surprising since he told me he didn't take them. He came by later, saying it would just be a few minutes more and mumbled something about the reservation, so I showed him the Open Table confirmation. He tried to seat us at a small table near the wait station where waiters were sticking their butts toward the table and another guest was continually bumping into it to take phone calls. Food was okay, but service got worse.
I've been eating at Pomegranate since they opened years ago. The are always reliable for good food in a casual, relaxing atmosphere.
Convenient location on the high street with nearby Parking. Great menu especially for Gyros. The fresh flat bread you are brought before the meal could almost be a meal on itself! For a family or romantic dinner at an affordable price this is a great find! Great outside seating area too for hot summer days.
Great food, lousy service. I'll be back, but will be sure to have plenty of time.
