Our favorite dining experience in Greenville, South Carolina!
I had the eggplant appetizer, the vegetable kabab and a Pommegranate martini. The appetizer was outstanding! The kabab was delicious, perfectly flame roasted vegetables with rice. The waiter suggested that we added sumac to the rice and vegetables and that made the dish even better. This was a fabulous healthy meal. My husband had the Pommegranate margarita and he loved it as well. The best thing for me is that I ate plenty, but never felt too full or heavy afterwards.
Pomegranate is my favorite restaurant in town. We made reservations for outdoor seating due to escalating coronavirus case numbers in Greenville. We’ve done this many times over the past several months and have enjoyed Pomegranate’s beautiful patio every time. This most recent visit was a bit different. Even though we requested outdoor seating the patio was completely enclosed and there was live music (sounded great) which made it harder to have a conversation without talking loudly. The waiter had to lean in to tell us about the specials and take our orders. My husband and I were the only people wearing masks. We chose to stay but never felt comfortable. I ate a few bites of a very delicious (as always) meal and got the rest in a to-go box. We didn’t stay as long as we usually do. I feel safe patronizing local restaurants with outdoor dining but only if it’s truly outdoor. Instead of using OpenTable to book outdoor dining reservations in the future, I’ll call the restaurant directly to clear up any communication issues.
All six of us enjoyed our meal. The soup of the day was delicious. Excellent service. Excellent place for a business lunch.
Excellent food and service. We had a reservation and got seated in time. The ambiance and service was outstanding!
Server messed order up and when corrected the food was extremely late
Always our favorite place to eat. Service was a little slower but the restaurant was packed so we didn’t mind. Best restaurant in Greenville
Very good Persian food. Attentive waitstaff. Nice atmosphere.
Great food and great service.
Food was OK. Nothing really great or bad. Had beef, chicken, & shrimp kabobs and a starter. Waiter was friendly but never came back after food was severed (no drink refills). Nothing special about the atmosphere and pretty noisy. Not worth the price and I doubt that I would go back.
Perfect tranquil beautiful atmosphere! The food was really good. Excellent Service!
The portion of "Sabzi" plate is hardly enough for one person much less for four people. Everytime we come here, it seems like this portion gets smaller and smaller... Not good
Good team and good food
Food was excellent. But for a large starters more pita bread should be provided.
I chose this restaurant because I wanted something different. It was both different and delicious! I would absolutely return. I had the chicken kabobs with the saffron rice. I was just telling my friend about how I don't care too much for rice...and then I ate ALL of this rice. I had a cocktail (a mule) and it was great, too. I enjoyed the ambiance as we were seated by the windows so we could people watch on main street but enjoy the air conditioning!
I love the food there. I had the salmon and it melted in my mouth. We sat on the patio but it was very loud. They didn’t need music either. The service was good and I’d definitely go back.
I like healthy food. This fits the bill and all delicious and fresh.
I was hoping for the best but got just okay. The food was over cooked and lacked flavor especially for a Persian influence. The waitress was wonderful and knowledgeable.
Probably will not go back when Greenville has so many other food options
As always, Pomegranate was a perfect place to eat and enjoy family! My daughter changed it up from her usual and ordered the shrimp and Koobideh with Dill Rice which she loved. My future daughter-in-law and I ordered our usuals, the Chicken and Tenderloin Torsch Kabob with Cranberry Rice, respectively. Pomegranate has always been my family's favorite restaurant in Greenville (and there are many!). It is consistently delicious, and the wait staff is always attentive and helpful. My girls got their favorite coctail, the Pomegranate Martini, and the bartender composed an off-menu cocktail for me which was amazing and appreciated! Thank you for another memorable evening!
On of my favorite restaurants! The food is always great and on Wednesday nights, they have 1/2 off bottles of wine and live music. Can’t wait to go back soon.
Fascinating trying several unfamiliar dishes. Waitress was GREAT. Price is reasonable, atmosphere is pleasant and pretty. Only negative at all was the downtown parking. Restaurant was wonderful. Made my husband's birthday a memorable and fun event.
Excellent variations of lamb, chicken, beef dishes and awesome grilled vegetables. This is really a difference kind of “taste” in the Greenville food scene. Every time we are in town we stop at Pomegranate. Located on the very trendy west side of town, great area of town to hang out.
Always great service and food! Very busy today but no one missed a beat. Seems like staff works well together making sure everyone is taken care of.
Our favorite restaurant. We come down from Asheville to eat here a few times a year, and took our first opportunity since early 2020 to do so after being vaccinated. We always have an excellent experience.
Our first visit to Pomegranate. Great ambiance and energy. We each had a different entree and all were very pleased. As a group, not familiar with Persian cuisine but we will all be back.
Excellent food. The best rice I have ever had (the cranberry basmati rice). Perfect service. Casual but nice ambiance.
Unique and tasty salad dressing. Entree's and service were great. Don't miss the homemade ice cream
Food was excellent. Waiter was great and very helpful with suggestions.
We love eating at the Pomegranate when we visit Greenville. The food is delicious. We came for our anniversary.
Great food , and great service, very personal, and seeking to explain the “food experience”
The entire experience was underwhelming. Food was very bland. My lamb was so tough I couldn’t even cut it. We were all super disappointed!
Was a bit loud, but managable. Had a great date night with my wife.
You're missing out if you don't have the pomegranate martini!
The salmon was hot, delicious and perfectly cooked, as always. The lamb was great, also. Great service.
I could use some gluten free bread to go with the hummus.
Always one of my favorites!! Great fresh food. Will go back soon.
Food is ALWAYS amazing! Service is great, they really care about their customers. Well stocked bar and excellent crafted Mediterranean drinks. One of our top five restaurants in Greenville!
Great food, good price and great service
