Service/staff excellent. Don’t order chopped salad. Loud and overpriced.
Polpo is always excellent. The restaurant hosts and staff are amazing, the food is always prepared to perfection, and the valets couldn't be nicer or more efficient. The bar is festive and inviting. The dining room is comfortable and cozy. You cannot go wrong with an evening at Polpo.
Great place with live music. Bar area is always fun
our first visit - best Italian food we’ve had in years.
Must be the worst meal I ever had in Greenwich. We took my mother to dinner etc and was embarrassed. The appetizers were subpar. The zucchini flowers were terrible, the meatballs were undercooked and the salad had way too much dressing. The calamari was the only ok appetizer. Was hoping that the main courses would be better, but unfortunately they were not. The angry 3lb lobster for $120 had no taste and did jot even seemed as though it.was sautéed in any way. The Sunday sauce was supposed to have braziole but they camouflaged it by splitting a metball.in half. The pasta pomodoro and pasta bolognese was tasteless. Truly a terrible experience. A $500 check for 4 people with no dessert and 1 person Being a 13 year old is way overpriced. Will not be back.
Love the food, service, music, great bar. All around homerun. Our favorite place to dine with and without friends. Brilliant concept.
First time back in six months. Always spot on! A bit pricey but well worth the cost if you enjoy very good traditional service and great food!
Had a delicious meal with great service from the wait staff. The maî·tre d was rude and yelling about another table in front of customers.
Service was slow. The selection of white wines by the glass was poor. For an Italian restaurant, there should have been a gavi available. There were 3 chardonnays. I wasn't informed that they were out of the apple pie until 15 minutes after I ordered it.
We went for our anniversary and ate outside. Everything was wonderful! Service is excellent, Kelly was our waitress, very professional and efficient.
Branzino and Veal were cooked to perfection and excellent.
The entire staff is warm and welcoming, that is why this is one of our favorite restaurants. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Always an amazing dining experience! Phenomenal food and great atmosphere, especially at the piano bar dining area with great live piano music.
A popular spot with delicious Italian food and good wine list. Lovely sitting on the terrace.
Amazing meal, we sat in the bar area and there was a fantastic piano player 💃🤩
I haven’t Been to Polpo in years, and it was as delicious as I remembered. Pretty pricey, but we enjoyed the evening.
This was our second experience at Polpo. The service was much better the first time. The food was good. I recommend the chopino and the braised rabbit. I would avoid the zucchini flower appetizer. There was way too much batter on the delicate flower.
Everything was amazing from the food to the service! Great ambiance can’t wait to return!
We were rushed!!! Our reservations we’re at 7:30pm and trying to have an enjoyable birthday dinner and all we were was RUSHED!
Not to mention they screwed up the birthday candle.
thoroughly enjoyable. would definitely return Thank you
Food was very good. We ate outside. However the men’s room was disgusting with drain fly infiltration everywhere. The ladies was filthiest most disgusting place no paper towels and a dirty dirty soap container that was almost empty. What the owners couldn’t clean the place during co-vid??? The regular ladies room was broken. Considering the filth of this place I would not return. It seems it’s very very popular tho. The bathroom had a weird old dirty stink too.
Thank you for coming to visit us here at Polpo. We are glad that you enjoyed the food. We apologize for the condition of our bathrooms as we are currently and continuously working with our plumbers and pest control on getting to the root of the issue that seems to have affected many of our bathrooms. We hope that once we have solved the issue you will return to a wonderful all around experience.
Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Food was very good.
Really bad and slow service. Broken glass on the floor really concerning on safety and cleanliness
Overall one of our go to restaurants. The meal is absolutely delicious with an upbeat vibe. Good mix between an older and younger clientele. Don’t be afraid to order something you normally don’t eat. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent food and service. Will definitely return.
We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience with us here at Polpo, and that you plan to return again. We will be glad to have you try the many different items that we have available on our menu, and be sure to try one of our top rated desserts at the end of your meal.
The best restaurant in Greenwich. We’ve been going to Polpo for 20 years and it hasn’t missed a beat.
We live it there! The food the ambiance… everything about the restaurant is great!
Fabulous. 1st time eating inside. Great experience.
The food and dining experience at Polpo is spectacular! From the Sunday Sauce to the after dinner Frangelico on ice --the whole experience is a delight to the senses. The staff is courteous, attentive and kind. We cannot wait to go back!
Wonderful service, delightful kitchen and wine menu! Loved everyone there!
Daughter's graduation dinner so a special occasion indeed. Polpo did not disappoint as usual. Everything was excellent from drinks and appetizers, through dessert.
The only good part is the valet parking… really terrible im terms of service, quality of food and ambiance.
Excellent food and service. Priced like you are in NYC
Love Polpo on a Saturday night!! Piano bar is such a vibe and everything was delicious. All the servers are pros too. Might make it a weekly date spot.
We visited this restaurant for the first time. Room was crowded, noise level too loud.
Food was good, not great but good. I ordered linguine al vongula. Clams were adequate, not plentiful. My husband started with the octopus and that was delicious.
Another person had a veal dish and liked it.
Food is always delicious
Lovely ambiance whether dining inside or outside.
Great food and ambience
Polpo is the best in Greenwich. It is as good as the best Manhattan Italians. And yes, we go to Il Mulino. It is different but great. Having my daughters wedding dinner there so there you go.
Lovely as always
We have been to Polpo many times over the years and it never disappoints. Food, service, ambience all excellent. We were there a couple months ago and it was kind of quiet. But not last night! It is so good to see people going back out. If you are looking for an outstanding experience in lower Fairfield County - this is the place!
Upstairs area has 0 ambience and as if you are in a different restaurant than downstairs main area. The bar area and dining is vibrant and fun!
We were outside which was lovely. I asked for a green salad and my previous experience they would make something simple like that for you. Instead I was told to order from the salads on the menu. Both of the 2 pasta orders at our table (which were completely different were bizarrely overly salty. I love salt so if I am complaining... it was salty. The bread was delicious. Is it under new management? It was disappointing as we were so excited to be going there.
