New Year's Eve Special Menus & Offers
During this time we are dealing with seating capacity limitations, and all reservations are limited to a two hour window. Thank you for understanding.
Love the location, atmosphere, and classic Italian food!
Great ambiance! Takes you back to being on vacation! Service, food, beverages all delicious. Portions and variety of items well done.
Food and service excellent. Lovely table and good for conversation.
The food is absolutely delicious. The service superior.
An absolute favorite from start to finish. Beautiful ambience, top notch cocktails, great wine list, and food is amazing!
We have been to Poggio before but last nights meals were just not made with any care at all, the tuna tartare was totally tasteless, the horseradish was so diluted with mayonnaise that it removed all the spice out of it.
The halibut plate was cold when it arrived at my table and it was missing the mushrooms, fish was sitting on a bed of cold spinach.
The ricotta spinach pillows were just balls of dough with no spinach or other flavor at all and it was sitting on a small amount of shredded beef.
The server or who ever came to our table was not professional, it was basically here's your food and your check. Nobody check in between or anything, and you're charging for bread at an Italian restaurant, that's unreal.
We keep coming back, as we can expect nothing less than an awesome meal, great service and the perfect place to celebrate
Food was fabulous. Absolutely loved the cauliflower souffle and shrimp pasta was amazing
Loved every dish! Enjoyed a fabulous Barolo wine and the service was terrific. Poggio is one of our fav Marin restaurants.
Great ambiance, cozy, delicious food delivered by a good waitress named « Kat. »
Had another great experience at Poggio last night! The ambiance had great energy, the food was great, and the service was spot on. My friend from out of town really enjoyed it. The salad with burrata, meatballs, halibut and pork were delish!
Excellent food and service. Love Poggio.
Great food and service as usual. Bistecca is the best meat but hopefully they will bring back the board presentation.
Great service and food. It was a little cold outside even with the heater so dress warmly if it’s cold out.
We had reservations for outside but it was the first (light) rain of the season. they immediately asked if we would like an inside table, greatly appreciated. I think that, much appreciated, exceptional level of service resulted in the restaurant being a bit more crowded and noisy than we might have liked.
Food was very good/excellent , service was good but no one ever came to ask us how we like our food once our entrees arrived. I had to wave down a waiter to request a spoon and cheese for my pasta almost 10 minutes after our entrees were served.
Have been to Poggio many times, never disappointed and despite minor service issue we had a delightful dinner.
Food was good; service was “spotty”; an unusual “sanitary” charge was added to our bill, Unusual & unbelievable!!
Fantastic place, a bit expensive, but everywhere terrific has gotten expensive.
Everything was wonderful- attentive service , excellent food, fun ambiance , beautiful night ! Bravo Poggio!
Wonderful food — loved sitting outside — our reservation was at 6pm and I was not pleased waiting until 6:20 to get seated — can you find a way to put a times up on first seatings and if not, book the second seatings later? OUTSIDE bookings mean we don’t want to hang around inside!
I took my friend for his birthday and while he was happy with the food I was not all that. The tartare was tasteless and looked prettier than it tasted.
The carpaccio with pears was epic, and I don’t eat meat!! His papardelle (sp) was wonderful and my Gnudi was nowhere near what the previous reviewers raved about.
The ambiance was noisy and the service was fine. Everything came quickly, hot, and the drinks were good.
It was not worth the $ for me, but he was happy and that was what mattered. I would not go back.
Great place to eat and have some fun. Service was perfect
The table we had was very uncomfortable. There was no space to move chairs back from the table so the table was just a few inches from our bodies. Can’t imagine anyone would feel comfortable sitting here.
Wonderful as always!
For one of the classiest dining spots in Marin, we are constantly amazed at the very affordable dishes. Superb location and incredible service.
This dining experience was fabulous. We had the best waitress ever. In my 67 years, I can say with assurance, she was the best ever. I would go back again and again.
Wonderful food. Wide menu selection.
Have been going to Poggio since it opened. They have maintained their high standards and excellence.
Great place to take people from out of town they will love it.
The service was awful. The waiter never came by to refill our drinks, ask how our food was, or take any finished items out of the way. Maybe he was having a bad day, but it was so miserable, we ate maybe 1/8th of our dinner, paid and left.
I think this is one of those restaurants that hasn't fully recovered from the pandemic unfortunately.
The food was quite delicious. Service was good and the ambiance was enjoyable. The rating is a four because the server was less than friendly.
The food & service is consistently fabulous! The location is beautiful downtown Sausalito!
Poggio is our favorite neighborhood restaurant -- the food is always excellent, service friendly and nothing beats a warm Italian restaurant less than a mile from your house! We had another lovely meal there on Saturday night with a friend who was visiting from Boston. Great cocktails, lovely crisp bread with garlic and herbs, tasty salads, the best mushroom soup I've had anywhere, and perfect salmon and homemade pasta dishes, which were substantial enough that we took some home for Sunday night! Thank you, Poggio.
Server mocked comments from an adjoining table to a passing server. While going everything correctly, there was no spark or magic. Decent table close to outside allowed for good ventilation. As for food, the artisan craft bread was hard and difficult to chew. Runner provided olive oil when asked. I was surprised that given a water shortage, a liter bottle placed on the table. I suspect remaining water went to the outdoor plants. Pastas were hit and miss. The gnudi tasted more like gnocchi than small pillows of spinach and ricotta. The budino was fine but needed forks in addition to spoons. After all, bufino is chiefly a kind of lava cake. Limited wines by the glass but they were also available in quarter, half and full bottles. Nice touch. Why the 4% sanitation charge? What was going on before this charge was levied?
Food was very tasty. We had the fish and beef ragu with spinach “pasta pillows”. Personally, I think it would have been better with a penne or a bucatini. That may be a matter of taste. The ragu was delicious
Great experience with great food and service. Highly recommend!!
Poggio’s is our go to in Sausalito. From the host to the server to the busser to the ambiance, you can’t beat it. The service is superb, the food is excellent (not a bad dish on the menu), and right in the heart of the city. End with the chocolate cake—- yummm
Once again an amazing meal at Poggio. Truly an exceptional restaurant in the area.
We returned to Poggio’s for an anniversary dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Marin County. We started with outstanding mozzarella crispy cheese balls with wonderful sauce and fresh oven cooked flat bread; followed by a split “mezzo” salad with just the right mix of fresh vegetables cheese and nuts; then on to the carbonara pasta and an excellent pork based pasta. Yes, I don’t have the menu in front of me for accurate names! We wanted dessert but we’re too full to order anything. Of course, we had started with cocktails and continued the entree course with wine. All in all another great dinner at an ongoing winner for good dining In one of California’s most charming towns next to the “city by the bay” across the golden gate.
We come from the East Bay simply for Poggio's predictably delicious food. Usually we have a leisurely lunch - appetizers, salad, pasta, dessert. The service is exceptional.
Service was inattentive and not very friendly. Food not as well prepared as in previous visits.
Front welcome always great
