Great atmosphere, great service and great food! During the era of COVID, they took the time to ensure the safety of their guests and their staff. Efforts were noticeable and appreciated. You could see the pride they have working and taking care of the guests. Truly wonderful experience that we hope to have again in future!
Food and service were good. Complimentary dessert was so-so. Due to the pandemic, little or no ambiance.
A beautiful setting. A great place for outdoor dining. The salads were wonderful & service was excellent!
Superb Hospitality, reservations for my mother’s birthday! We enjoyed the food and service.
Wonderful food and service. I look forward to going back soon.
The Plumeria Beach House is one of the best ocean view locations in Honolulu. The ambience is wonderful. The food is very good.
Great place post Covid for business lunch. Wish food was better but it does the trick.
Family meal after professional family photos. Wonderful night cap, great ambience.
Great place to get away for the evening and be in the breeze
It was nice
We enjoyed a relaxing oceanside breakfast with impeccable service and excellent safety protocols in place. With the hotel only open to kama’aina at this time and four hours of validated parking, we enjoyed relaxing and swimming at the quiet beachfront after we ate. We love The Kahala! 💖
The service was good but the food was slow to come out. And also the beginning service was slow. The food was okay wasn’t great for that price point. I didn’t even stay for dessert. The only thing good was the view and hotel.
Atmoshpere is excellent; nice views, open air, and very spacious. Menu is diverse with good variety of dishes with local flavors. Would highly recommend Plumeria Beach House for special occasions and entertaining out of town guests.
Hard to judge due to first week open due to Corona Virus. Check in process was thorough with temperature check so we felt comfortable. Drinks were excellent. Poke was outstanding. Service was a little off but no one seemed to mind. Requested Sashimi sampler but got sushi sampler. Sent it back, but they returned with the same plate. At that point, we said sushi was fine. Lipstick on first coffee cup. Wine list was very limited so we brought our own. Corkage fee was quoted on the phone as 35, but we were charged 45.
Randy was so wonderful and served with such aloha. I had a great dining experience thanks to him. Mahalo, Randy!
Staycation breakfast. Food was good. Very pricey in comparison to other places on the island but we enjoyed it. If we stayed here again, we would eat there again.
Loved our dinner at The Plumeria Beach House. Our food was very delicious- Salmon and Kalua Chicken. Service was good and it was pretty busy. The view was incredible too!
First off, it looks like a completely different space, with tables spaciously arranged for social distancing. Bravo! They are still serving warm sour dough bread and butter, which were excellent. The seafood and the canoe potatoes were what you'd expect from any upscale eatery, but the sauces elevated the experience to something a bit more exquisite. The sweet potato fries were very generous, and I am still eating them at home. The veggies from Oprah's farm were unique and tasty. I also enjoyed a slice of birthday cake, which was layered with several flavors, and served with cream and chocolate. Take-out boxes and nice Kahala bag were brought to our table, so we could pack our own food. Much appreciated! Our waiter was friendly and non-intrusive. Another server attentively kept our waters topped off. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience!
The wait for the food to come out was a bit long. Food was served after about a 45 minute wait for 4 people with simple breakfasts.
The restaurant new standard is book your seat, temperature check and have your seat. Very spacious restaurant providing you most relaxing time in this island.
Due to the virus the restaurant was not crowded at all which was to our advantage. The food was excellent as always as the service and the feeling of being like at home with the ohana .
We are not new at the Plumeria since our visit goes to place it at more than fifty times already. One of our favorite places to lunch or dinner.
great ambience, good food, good service, reco to all
Always enjoy their ambiance, were a little disappointed in limited menu offering the night we went. We were not aware that they were limiting most guests to a buffet.
Outstanding service and the food and locale were top notch.
The restaurant no longer offers complimentary bread nor dessert for a person's birthday or special occasion.
The salmon bowl had a ton of flavor!! The street tacos were fun because you used your hands to assemble them. Ask for an extra side of pico/salsa to eat your blue corn tortilla chips with. The turkey club can be shared between two people because of the huge about of chips it can be served with. Last but not least, the mai tai cocktail looks small but it is strong and mighty.
It was a beautiful day with picture perfect weather, sitting outside on the 'lanai' by the lawn for lunch. Blue skies and mild trade winds made for a wonderful setting. The food was delicious and service top notch!
Such a wonderful place to dine anytime but the seafood buffet is just amazing, never disappoints. Will always be back to dine here.
This was my third timing dining at Plumeria. The first two times were lovely! (I should have filed those strong positive LUNCHTIME reviews, but I did not. I will follow up in the future.) This was a dinner visit. It was loud, crowded, expensive, and generally disappointing. The food was very good (as usual), but the service was quite poor, probably because there were several large parties and the restaurant was understaffed. I certainly will return; my other visits were lovely. Maybe a better lunch place than a dinner location?
We went on Thursday for the kaamina dinner. It was great. My husband had the short ribs and I had the Hong Kong style fish. Both were delicious. The salad and dessert bars also had a good selection. We will definitely go back !
Enjoyed the curry buffet. The salads and desserts were great. The service was also outstanding.
Everything was exceptional from food to service. Only the weather was sub-par
We were seated 5:45pm next to bar section and it was hard to carry conversation due to excessive noise level.
Food was good but the cost of a glass of wine was ridiculously expensive.
Very good choice!!
The food variety and choices were great and they tasted good, too! Nice mix of local dishes vs Japanese dishes vs others! The downside was that they didn't refill the hot bread pudding so a few of us had sad faces. However, after I asked if they had any more in the back, I was given a healthy piece to enjoy. Yum with the sauce!
We had a good waiter who was very accommodating to our needs by switching my water glass with a coffee mug so my arthritic hands could hold it more easily. :)
Our server was somewhat rushed and not terribly attentive. We had to ask for appetizer plates for the bread and he did not acknowledge that we were celebrating our daughter's birthday, though it was indicated on the reservation.
We got there for the first seating at 5:30pm. As soon as we went to the buffet, the flies started attacking the sushi and the sashimi. None of the workers did anything about it. In the past they had put netting over the food, but someone is obviously getting lazy and did nothing. So aside from trying to get some food that in the hopes were not touched by the flies, the food quality is the same; ok and nothing spectacular. Their prime rib is ok and not really that great and the king crab was ok and not that great. It was tasteless to say the least. Perhaps the tasty dish was the pork belly with the buns and the hot sin sauce. That was good.
Amaging. The buffet is great and what's more, the atmosphere is the best. We have beautiful ocean view from the table outside but it will be sometimes cold in this windy season. I think the best table is on the front row inside. I'm sure to visit weekend seafood buffet again when visiting the hotel.
