This is one of the most beautiful spots for lunch on Oahu, and my husband and I have been coming here for many years during our annual Hawaii vacation. Unfortunately, this year the food was. mediocre at best. Usually it is wonderful. Hoping that this is a temporary blip and that the restaurant will restore its food quality soon.

Food could be better. Staff are very helpful and helped me put two chairs together so my toddler could nap. I'd highly recommend a fan to steer away flies. There were too many flies flying while eating our food...

Plumeria has always been our go-to spot for events, both large and small, and we’ve consistently had wonderful experiences. However, today’s visit was unexpectedly disappointing. Our server—new to us—unfortunately fell short in providing the level of service we’ve come to expect. We were never checked on throughout our meal, and not once were our waters refilled. We had to flag down another server just to request condiments and basic service, which was especially awkward as we were hosting guests. It was an uncharacteristically poor experience, and we truly hope this was an isolated incident. We look forward to seeing improvements during our next visit.

The setting for our dinner was beautiful, beachfront at sunset. The food selection and quality was great. We especially enjoyed the salmon sashimi, crab legs, and crying tiger salad. The chicken was also flavorful and freshly fried. The service was "okay." Pleasant but not particularly attentive. We did not see our server for a while and had to flag down the bus boy to ask for something. Dishes were not refreshed and needed to inform the bus boy. When we initially drove up to the hotel we did not see the valet then noticed him waving us to move forward in an almost comical way. Not what is expected for the Kahala experience.

Everything was beautiful as usual and the service was excellent. However, the seafood buffet was sparse on seafood and very mediocre. Even the desserts were disappointing. It’s been going downhill for a while, and is now at its lowest. Kahala, it’s time to restore it back to a reputable “seafood” buffet and use better ingredients in your desserts.

It's always wonderful to eat at Plumeria Cafe....especially since I used to often take people to Danny Kaleikini's show (60s-80s)...lots of memories. We had a funny excellent waiter which made our lunch even more enjoyable.
