Great food and attentive waiter. Food was fresh and very flavorful.
I love pizza and it’s great pizza! Not Nola food, but overall amazing pizza
One of our favorites! Basil pesto sauce and mushroom pizza! Poppers!
Great food! Kids loved it so much we went back twice on our trip. Perfect for families.
My boyfriend and I had a great dinner here. The waitress was super friendly and the food was excellent. We split the garlic knots, then I ordered the yukon potato pizza with proscuitto and my boyfriend ordered the mushroom pizza. I definitely recommend Pizza Domenica!
Great happy hour offering, half off pizzas, wine and beer! Love the selections.
Service was a little inattentive for being light on tables. The pizza and appetizers were good but the dessert was frost bitten. Also, the establishment could use a good cleaning. The window and ledge had a lot of food and dust on it.
All good. Appreciate the reservation.
Pizza was undercooked
Service and Food was very good. Pizza crust was soft, moist, not crispy at all- seemed under cooked. However, it was till tastety.
Delicious as always, but bring back the clam pizza!!!
Restuarant was clean and precautions taken for guest safety. Food was delicious and came out quick. We ordered mushroom pizza and expected it to have more mushrooms than it did, but it was still very tasty. Music playlist was great.
Warm and inviting. Everyone was kind and familiar. Food was great! Highly recommend it. Our server and the staff all seemed to love what they do. Garlic knots were Amazing! and the Pepperoni Pizza was Perfect.
We made a reservation for a small birthday dinner. Had a glitch on time and staff was very accommodating. Food was delicious and everyone was very friendly
Not Recovering - trying to get out more but Pizza Domenica is off our list. With 1 other couple in the restaurant, the waiter told us we’d missed happy hour because it had ended 3 (yes, exactly 3) minutes ago. The pizza crust was soggy and the toppings slid off when we picked slices up. With 2 tables occupied, the service was so-so.
Delicious as always!! Brought friends from out of town and they loved it.
Great pizza. Not great ambiance. I appreciate the efforts to be clean/sanitary during the pandemic, but the plastic cutlery and cups felt cheap.
This has become our favorite pizza place!
Not crowded. Pizza came out in no time!
My wife says the Prosciutto pizza we had was the best pizza she had ever had, and it's probably my second favorite. It was fantastic. The selection of local beer on draft was also a nice find. As a tourist, this restaurant offered a glimpse into the neighborhood that we thoroughly enjoyed.
We loved the pizza! They were also able to accommodate our grandson's severe tree nut allergy. We really appreciate that! It was so good and a "safe" restaurant for our grandson we went 2 nights in a row! Thank you very much!!
I was so excited when Pizza Domenica opened as an Uptown alternative to Domenica. Since the restaurant changed from a walk up order system to needing reservations, it has slowly slid downhill. My experience mimics the last two times I have gone. We were seated and waited over 10 minutes for our waitress to appear (with no water). Normally, this wouldn't be a huge deal, but their happy hour specials end at 6. I had to go find the hostess to track her down after realizing people who walked in after us were already ordering. After ordering a Wild Mushroom Pizza with no bacon, we waited over 30 minutes to get our pizza. When it came out, it had huge chunks of bacon fat on it. When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she just looked at me and said, "Yeah, it comes with bacon" as if I had never said anything. On a Friday during Lent in New Orleans, restaurants shouldn't be shocked if people eschew meat. She did, eventually, take the pizza off our our bill (which is unlike the last two times). The second-try at our pizza was clearly rushed. There were not as many mushrooms as the first one and the cheese was haphazardly thrown on there. The pieces I ate were soggy as the crust wasn't cooked all the way. We tried to fix it with copious amounts of red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese, but that seems like it should be unnecessary at a gourmet pizza place. It was a disappointing experience as have been the last couple of times I've gone. While our waitress did what she could to fix the situation, the pizza wasn't good enough to end to even be worth it. Bad service and bad food is just too much for me in a city filled to the brim with delicious restaurants.
What a terrific experience all around. Pizzas are unique, full of flavor and made with fresh ingredients. Salad was wonderful. My youngest son, the pickiest of eaters, said its the "best pizza in the world"! Well done. Our waiter, Matt, was kind and very attentive.
The garlic knots were out of this world!
Great pizza, wine list and beer options. Only overshadowed by the noise level...way too noise! Noiser than you would expect from a trendy, under 30 targeted customer establishment. Not music mind you, but rather a function of the hard reflective surfaces that abound. Will go back, but not for conversation and will bring ear plugs.
The manager, Chris, took great care of my party.
The warm, citrus-marinated olives were fabulous, and of course, the garlic knots with that whipped fonduta is to-die-for. Pizzas are cooked to perfection and are perfect for sharing. Definitely make a reservation to save yourself a long wait!
Loved eating at Pizza Domenica with my girlfriend. We enjoyed the casual, Italian-bistro-like atmosphere very much. Server was excellent--friendly and with good advice. The pizza was the best I've had anywhere. You can't go wrong. Inexpensive gem!
Took my kids for my son's 6th birthday. We sat at the pizza bar, which was perfect for them! They got to watch the chefs tossing and making the pizzas, then see them cook in the wood fired oven. The chefs were great to the kids, interactive and friendly. They took the kids through making our pizza from start to finish! All that, plus the the food and drink is fantastic!
Delicious! The garlic knots and whipped dip that went with it are amazing.
I had a hankering for pizza but wanted something way better than chain type of pizza.
Pizza Domenica filled the need. Having drink specials, a carafe of mimosas , started off our meal on the right foot. We had the roasted cauliflower(excellent) , prosciutto pizza(very good) and caprese for a salad(very good if you like a non lettuce's type of salad).
The only bad thing I have to say is now I want a wood fired pizza oven. Thanks a lot!
We hadn't been to Pizza Domenica in 6 or 9 months, and were glad to get back. The menu has been reduced, some of the best dishes gone, which was disappointing. And it seemed remarkably expensive for a couple pizzas, salad and some drinks. Still a great pizza shop in the neighborhood, though.
Consistent & delicious
We had a reservation and they seated us right away. Our waitress was outstanding on knowing the Ingredients in every item telling us that the cauliflower we ordered had changed a bit since we had been there and proceeded to describe the changes. It was excellent as was the shaved Brussels sprouts salad. Then we walked outside and watched the parades from their front porch.
Pizza Domenica is perfect for a casual yet delicious meal. Drink options are great, all pizzas are excellent, as are the other menu items. Highly recommended!
Pizza was good, cauliflower steak was good, service was not. Our server, Victoria, visited our table at her convenience and "strutted" around like she was something. Seemed more interested in that than providing service to us. But, it is what it is. In some of these "gotta go to"restaurants, the arrogant service is part of the deal. Hope you get a better server when you go.
Pizza was lukewarm...and the cauliflower steak is not the "usual cauliflower steak"...It's now a casserole
This is our go to spot lately, but this time around it was much louder than normal, as there were several large groups of people (celebrating birthdays). Food and service was great, just found myself shouting during this dining experience. The server even apologized for the loud table and tried to make up for this unusually loud experience. Overall, would recommend.
The Pizza divine (great value from 3-6), good wine, get the Affrogado
Service is greatly improved. Food orders taken and food moves quickly to the table..piping hot pizza served quickly because of the wood burning fire. The brussell sprout salad is surprisingly good. I also tried their Clam pizza special this week and fell in love with it.
